I started off fasting fairly frequently fir spiritual purposes and now iincrporate a 36hr fast once a week. I also did a 3 day fast last month which although for spiritual reasons it got me out of a rut. I notice it made a very strong change in me where now if i do eat a heavy meal, I feel sick. Like nauseous. Not…

My hubby likes to do intermittent fasting, low fat, and eat as clean as possible and no caffeine- for his blood pressure. He has to eat around 1500-2000 calories Personally I do 2-3 snacks and a very light lunch and lots of tea (no cream, no sugar) spaced throughout the day with a bigger dinner later on- but I eat whatever…

I'm not even sure there is such a thing as "naturally thin". We're a product of our environment, activity level, eating habits, etc. Change any of those factors and the person gains weight.

Mostly I got glowerd at. There was this group of girls who were always a dark cloud, like if you were having fun, they'd frown at you. like WTF?! you just ate a lemon or something? come on and join in on the fun! I basically learned to ignore them. The fellas would tease me but I'd just tease em back which I thought was…

When the US joined the fight in WWII, my grandfather ran away from home at the age of 14 and JOINED the army. He got sent back home once they found out his real age. That didn't deter him though, eventually he became an MP in the Marines. OOORAH!

My Hubby's grandfather fought in WWII, part of the 2nd infantry- carried a bazooka. He was 30 when he enlisted, they called him the "old man". He was a tough SOB. Captured by the nazis twice. First time he jumped off a bridge to evade them, second time they wanted him to show where his platoon was, so he yelled ambush and…

We've always kept them in the fridge. Never thought otherwise.

My hubby, a 6ft truck driver who looks like a beast.... loves flowers. <3

I'm also doing 1200 and have gotten used to not feeling so hungry. Partially because I drink so much water & tea (no cream, no sugar) and lately because I'm on a water pill that kills my appetite. I've had days where I'd be severely under my goal and had absolutely no desire to eat. Never thought about adjusting my goal…

The amount of food I THINK will satisfy me vs the amount of food that actually DOES satisfy me are totally different! Last Saturday was quite an eye-opener...we had a surprise party for my aunt and I got a plate of food that old me would be like "you know I'm going back up for seconds". It just looked like a small plate to…

YES. I MISS RUNNING! I'm looking forward to hitting the pavement as soon as the weather cooperates.

personally, I've had days where breakfast or lunch was all I wanted, it filled me up and I was DONE, but I've also had days where I wasn't really hungry but I had something small anyways....aaaannnnddd I ate all the food in the house LOL (not literally, but it sure felt like it!) I like to go with - if I'm not hungry, I…

I'm a stress eater. I've found other ways to get around it. Like instead of grabbing a chocolate, I'll grab a tea (no milk, no sugar) because I've made the association in my mind between a hot mug of something and calm/cozy/relaxed. Make it sort of a ritual, take your time getting your tea ready, enjoy the warmth of the…

When I was a teen, I was afraid to go into Hollister because I honestly thought overweight people weren't allowed in their stores. LOL

water for me, tea for the big guy, probably a bag of low sodium chips and a box of granola bars. I grew up with my mom ALWAYS having food in the car, even for short trips- it's her security blanket, so as an adult and fully aware of this, I'm hesitant to have anything other than a bottle of water or two with me. I figure…

I've lost 40 lbs so far and still a ways to go, but already I've noticed a few unexpected things- I've lost weight in my cranium, not just my double chin- I was expecting that- I mean my dome itself, had to get my glasses adjusted, they kept slipping off my face, in fact, they still feel too wide for my nugget. I feel like…

Pepsi- any soda really, I used to guzzle the stuff, now I'm turned off by it. I think it's the carbonation, makes me choke and bloats me up.
