This is all to taste so I use my own judgement with measuring ingredients. Smash the avocado and add lime juice, lemon juice, minced onion and garlic, Worcester sauce, cilantro, salt and pepper. Spread on the toast. Top with crumbled turkey bacon. So simple.

I run 3x week, but short distance. 2-4 miles. I did it in my younger days for soccer training, but now just for heart health and to help increase my HDL cholesterol. Not to mention it helps keep the pounds off. My one friend always told me though...."you can't outrun a diet".

During the heart of the pandemic we as a family did curbside at least once or twice a week to support the local restaurants as they were struggling. Pre-pandemic we ate out once a month if we were lucky. Luckily for my family I love to cook and experiment so most of the cooking is done at home regardless of a pandemic.

My mother in law who had the first shot is overweight, in her 70's, closet smoker, and has COPD. We'll she got COVID pneumonia after Easter. She has been in the hospital still to this day and doing much better, but it was scary at first. She got out of the ICU 2 days ago. The doctor in the ER said if she didn't have that…

YouTube has tons of videos with recipes. Those who never liked meat I would assume like a vegetable tasting burger like black bean vs. the plant based burgers (similar to Beyond and Impossible) which tastes very similar to beef. I like them all and haven't eaten beef for well over a year. Will never go back especially for…

Understand, i'm not a vegan, I just enjoy vegan recipes for my health. I will never call myself a vegan, a hybrid, or a vegan in-training as i've been corrected on the "Food and Nutrition" boards. What I like about the vegan cooking is the health benefits. I use to love beef, but haven't eaten it in over a year. Terrible…

Maybe this is a bad habit, but If I anticipate a meal that has a lot of calories, I tend to kick up my exercise for that day to balance it out. I'm no expert in the subject so my thoughts could be totally wrong. The one thing I have found out on MFP is that my induced hunger has significantly reduced when I record my daily…

I'm not a vegan, but have converted my cheese intake to vegan cheese and it's not bad at all. I'm stuck on fish and poultry.

I could eat a whole jar :D

That says it all my friend. The MFP app tracks all of my nutritional intake which I never did before.
-
Nothing wrong with carbs, just in moderation, not excess. I believe my recent weight gain is from more carbs and less exercise (and activity). MFP food diary has tracked my carbs and fat that I have never controlled. Adjustments can always be made.

Before I went completely herbivorous, I self-identified "plant-based slacker" or a "vegan in training" :-)[/quote] Nice!

Hello All! I'm a Noobie as well. The COVID era has definitely added on some weight. I'm not too overweight, but wanted to lose 10-12 lbs. and I'm having trouble even losing 5 lbs LOL. Working remotely is probably not helping nor the boredom eating. This tracking your consumption of food daily is helping a lot along with…

To me it's a treat. The rest of the days with working remote, I have been sticking to my smoothies, fish & poultry, salads, some vegan dishes and quite honestly my body has said it's full. The fattier stuff is my reward and as your mood elevates towards the weekend, I choose Friday and Saturday. The biggest thing I have…

Agreed :) Shouldn't have stated it that way...

This is absolutely incredible. Great work!!!

I feel like I'm a hybrid. I haven't eaten beef in over a year, I replaced real cheese with vegan cheeses. I'm still stuck on the fish, poultry, eggs, and occasionally pork.

Sustaining that weight you're comfortable with is the challenge. I know I can reach my goal, the question is... can I sustain it after I reach it?
