What do your meals look like (show me pictures)....

Cobb salad that I grabbed before the shrimp dish so I had to take both. There’s a corn purée under the shrimp that is really good.4 -
Sambal goreng tempeh and roast cauliflower and rice.

Marinara sauce with added Italian sausage over black bean spaghetti. The Italian sausage was made in house at the butcher shop. The black bean spaghetti caught my eye at the store but it is made of black soybean flour rather than regular black beans so I was disappointed. As far as gluten free pasta goes it's fairly mild in flavor and has a more pleasant texture than some but I think it would be better with pesto or perhaps a carbonara. It doesn't meld well with the meat sauce and probably needed to drain longer as it completely diluted the marinara.

Beans two ways and salad - Butter Beans baked with Honey, Mustard & Thyme. Runner Beans in Italian Tomato Sauce with a little Pecorino.

Starter of roast cauliflower soup made from the leftover side from last night. Rigatoni with pesto. I made the pesto in August, froze in silicon cupcake forms and pulled out a breath of summer tonight.

Gorgeous photo. What all is in that? I see mussels, pasta and peas. Not sure what the other items are. Maybe garlic?0 -
I made a tomato and cheese pie from a Bon Appetite recipe. It’s REALLY good; very, VERY rich and tastes like very refined pizza. The crumb crust was ok; husby and I felt like it didn’t really do anything for the filling, so next time I may try a different type of crust.6 -
First attempt at making dim sum from scratch. We were meant to have a main afterwards but it was so much work we just steamed all the dim sum we were planning to freeze for dinner.

Grilled loukaniko sausage, sautéed greens and a salad of watermelon, feta, mint and dressed w/olive oil and lime juice. The sausage was made in house at a butcher shop.

My second attempt at dim sum from scratch was a total fail. Apparently, you can't make the dough in advance.

The dinner I was planning last night that got pre-empted by dim sum making efforts. Char sieuw pork loin that was batch cooked sous vide and popped into the freezer and finished tonight in the air fryer to brown. Gravy made from the liquid in the sous vide bag was laced with some five spice powder. Green beans blanched a few days ago which were popped into the fridge and finished in butter and chinese chive on the stove. Basmati rice.

Not much of an appetite today. Almost just had cereal but made some carbonara instead.5 -
Air fried lamb chop coated in za'atar with mashed Stokes Purple® sweet potatoes with added onion, garlic, olive oil and butter. Next time I'll try adding sour cream like I do with regular potatoes to see if that improves the creaminess level. I usually find sweet potatoes too sweet but these aren't so much.

Oooh nice! I just ordered more Za’atar!2 -
@Safari_Gal I love za'atar ... I'm thinking it would be good on garlic naan. It works really well with the lamb. We used to grill the lamb chops but now we've completely switched to this method.3

Medium rare sirloin, pimientos de padron, roast potato, hollandaise. The tricky timing at the end of making this meal stresses me out a little. Maybe I should do the peppers in advance and warm them up in the microwave while I slice the steak.

Work cafeteria had falafel again!8 -
Lunch: chia/cassava tortillas with smoked salmon, onion, avocado, evoo and herbs de provence
I was looking for something sweet .. all I had were some frozen blueberries and açaí ..so I made a berry-açaí smoothie with some Ceylon cinnamon, vanilla flax milk and some greens. it did the trick. 😉

Not sure what order these will appear but breakfast was an omelette with spinach, red pepper, and jalapeño havarti, one slice of bacon, and toast.
Lunch was a roasted veg and chili lime salad.
