I’m several years post op. I lost half my body weight. It’s a helpful tool to help but you still have to work at it. I haven’t gained back all I lost but o have crept up and getting back to the basics. Good luck on your journey. If you have questions feel free to reach out.

Cookies are good (bad) but has anyone ever tried the cinnamon Sugar Pretzels by Dot? My son got a bag the other day and I have been munching them every day. They need to vacate my house ASAP!

Went back to the gym for the first time in many many weeks. It was rough but it was good. I am glad I went and stuck it out. I feel great and can't wait to go again tomorrow. Starting back kinda sucks but the pay off is nice.

Woo Hoo Yooly! Down is awesome!

Not snowed in but I am not allowed to drive when the roads are bad. The last time I drove I totaled my minivan. It is best if I don't chance it

There is no handle carefully Pav. I carefully put them all in my mouth so they can't come into my house!

I am 10 years post op form a Gastric sleeve. It is not a permeant fix but a tool to help you get the ball rolling and help you learn better behaviors. I started at 400lbs. After surgery I made it to 180. It took a while and a lot of work but I got there. I have since crept back up as I stopped doing what I needed to do in…

Snow and ice is finally melting. I am so ready to get back to my regular life. I miss the gym and I miss my daily routine. 2nd teenager went home and they both went back to school today. Lots of grumbling in my house this morning but everyone got off. I am still not allowed to drive but I have been assured that tomorrow I…

Yooly great job getting back into it! Don't overdo it. Even moving a little is more than nothing.

Kids went back to school today so my kitchen is taking a well needed break. The amount of food that has been consumed since Friday is astronomical. I have no idea how people with more than one kid do it. Dinner is going back to something that won't break the calorie bank since I haven't been to the gym anytime this week…

I did get some bunnies in for me. Not so much for them. Yes that is a ton of food but they ate it all as one meal. Teenagers are an empty pit that they fill whenever they can.

I've had two teenagers in the house for the last several days. We are currently snowed in. Those of us that live in the south are not capable of driving on the roads when they are snowy. The boys wanted chicken nuggets and mac and cheese for dinner. (this is what they always want every time they stay together). So last…

Man Yooly. You can’t win for loosing.

Who knows Pav. My body just decided that it was no longer going to sleep! I go to bed....and just lay there for hours. I usually get a few hours but not much. Hopefully if my body wants more sleep then it will take it. lol

It's really hard not to go for all the carbs when it is so cold outside. We got snow this morning so of course the world is freaking out. I just want to curl up under a blanket and eat all the rich heavy foods! At least I know this and can hopefully not over indulge.
-
Snowing here today so I had to skip the gym. I am keeping up with my tracking and staying within my goals. Still not sleeping but I feel ok with that. I sure hate the cold but at least the roads weren't too bad driving to work. Going to see my patients then lounge on the couch with my blanket for the rest of the day.

Welcome. Loosing 200lbs is no joke! Good for you! Stay active in groups and you can get the support you need to stay motivated. There is a great group called Larger Loser. It is super active and lots of great people that have lost or are loosing a large amount of weight.

Back to tracking heavily again. I took some time off and just eyeballed what I was eating. I didn't want to stress abotu it during the holiday season. Scale went up a little but not much. Really not too bad especially since the gym was also closed. I don't really do the whole new year new me stuff. I am the same person I…

There is not enough restraint in the world to live in PAV 's house right now! There were waaaaaay too many goodies in those pictures.

I had plantar fasciitis last year. It lasted for 6 months before I went to see a podiatrist. He gave me a few shots into my heel over a few months and I haven’t had a problem since. I also got some crazy expensive inserts for my shoes from them. Totally recommend. The shots sucked but I was numbed for them. Barely being…

I don't do breakfast most days. Even when I go to the gym. If it is a water aerobics and Dance class day I will have an RXBar in between them. I mostly start my day, foodwise, at lunch. I try to eat something decent in the calories. Somewhere around 500 calories. With the workout calories, this allows me a decent dinner…

I never could do the puréed food. I did do mashed potatoes with unflavored protein powder. Lots of shakes with PB2 in them. Just the smell of puréed meat gives me flashbacks.

Happy Thanksgiving to everyone. Hope your day was filled with good food and wonderful family.

I bet your body is craving Fuel. When you don't sleep well your body doesn't have the energy to power through the day so you crave things that are not good for you in order to give yourself a boost in power. Take a nap I bet you'll feel less hungry.

I’m not a McDonalds fan at all. Even my son would rather eat elsewhere. But there is something about that McRib that gets me. I ended the day under my calories but I was hungry before bed and wasn’t able to have a snack. Worth it though. That sandwich was soooo good.
-
I cheated a little today. Don't think I went over or to far over my calories for today since I did almost 2 hours of workout today. Today was the first day of the McRib. Yes I know that it is probably not real meat but it is my guilty pleasure. I love them! So today I am having one complete with french fries. I'll take it…

Wow sounds like you are doing great post op. Glad things are working out so easily. I was amazed at how little pain I had post surgery. I was up and back to normal within a few days. Crazy that they removed an organ and I was ready to be back in less than a week.
-
Welcome back Merph! I think COVID hit us all pretty hard. I know it did me. Glad you are back at it. You obviously know what to do to make it work!
-
You and I are close to the same weather pattern. I’m not far from TX. We have a movie day planned for Sunday. I’m not doing anything!

It has been one heck of a week over here. Temp changes from highs in the 80 on Monday and Tuesday to a high in the low 50 yesterday and today. Grrrrr. I have been doing a ton of stuff everyday and I am TIRED! I left the house yesterday at 8 and didn't get home until almost 10 pm. Today is an easier day full of paperwork…
