  • PAV I take classes at my gym. It makes the work outs go way faster. I can’t always do all the things that the instructor is doing but I am moving the whole time and that’s burning calories. I get unmotivated if I’m doing machines and weights. I get bored and then it’s so much easier to convince myself not to go. With the…
  • Weigh yourself but don’t put too much “weight” into those numbers. Cruise ships do purified salt water which can cause tons of bloating. Also I’m sure there was a ton of salty food. And then the airplane also causes your weight to go up. Your real numbers will come in a few days when you get back on track and your body…
  • Today was long and hot! We are selling popcorn to help supplement my son’s scouting costs. We started at 8:30 this morning and sold until 6pm. I am worn out. He sold a bit so that’s good. Scouting can cost a lot especially when he’s in all the honor societies and venturing crew! If anyone wants to get buy some popcorn to…
  • Dole Whip is my favorite! I learned how to make it at home. That was a big problem. So glad you had fun on your cruise.
  • Absolutely beautiful Y! I hope my weather is just as great when we go on ours next weekend. Forecast says rain but I’m not getting down just yet.
  • My husband made dinner tonight. Grilled chicken and veggies. He also made yams (sweet potatoes). My son had to message me while I was still at work to tell me how awesome the yams were. “And they are lower in calories” awesome! I get home and see that a serving is 168grams and only 70 calories. Wow. That’s great. I put…
  • Well I am a lot further from surgery than most people here. I had the sleeve done 10 years ago next month. I lost a lot of weight right after. I started at 400 and made it down to 189. This wasn't quite my goal but I was super happy with myself and my progress. I kept it off for several years. A lot longer than most of my…
  • Wow. Good for you. That is awesome and a great surprise when you get back from vacation!
  • Everyone's suggestions are to stay busy. By the weekend I am exhausted. I don't want to do anything and I need to recharge so that I can be super functioning for the week. I do my grocery shopping on Saturday and my laundry on Sunday. That's it. This of course does not give me many extra calories. When I get bored I do try…
  • Have an amazing time! Great job loosing a little extra before heading out. I agree with PAV it’s hard to stop once you start but as long as you are mindful of what you are doing I’m sure you’ll do great when you get back. You always have support!
  • I could never get it to sync right. I use a go between. My watch is synced to Pacer and then Pacer is synced to MFP. It’s a work around that has worked for me for several years. I do sometimes have to go into pacer and hit the sync button but it always works. MFP has no problems putting my exercise work outs from my watch…
  • Maybe you can flutter instead of prance. There is no age limit to being fabulous on a beach.
  • That's a great problem to have! Especially for a beach trip.
  • Happy Anniversary @Yoolypr 49 years is a huge accomplishment! I know you are going to have an amazing time in Hawaii!
  • I had a few late patients today so I didn’t get home until almost 7. My son (13) made dinner for us. Mostly because he didn’t want to wait so late to eat. He made chicken parm. He even measured it out and weighed it so I could input it correctly. My kid wins the awesome kid of the day award!
  • That’s a good idea. Thanks!
  • I want to take my son to SeaBase with his scout troop. It is a high adventure base in the Florida Keys. We get to sail and tag sharks and grow coral just to say a few things. There is a very strict weight limit due to the dangerous nature of the trek. it is a 2 year plan so I have plenty of time to loose the weight…
  • Got on my scale this morning and I was down 25 lbs since my journey started. Woo Hoo! It's always nice to see a difference. I don't feel any different and my clothes don't feel different but that 25lbs had to have gone somewhere.
  • Normally TOM would be a sing of health. But I don't. Ever, I have an IUD and PCOS. Had to make it happen with drugs to get pregnant. So when you haven't had one in many many many years when it happens not only is it a surprise it also super sucks!! I am going on a cruise. There is a kind of bike that you sit on and ride…
  • Drug myself to the gym today. I didn't want to but I knew I needed to. I was prepared to do my full workout. I did my water aerobics class. It was harder than usually but I went through it. Then I got dressed and ready for class 2. I waited for 30 minutes only to realize that Tuesday and Thursday 11:00 class is yoga not…
  • The female body is insane. Like it hates me. I really think it is out to get me. My diet and exercise is going well. I am down some pounds which is nice. I have 2 more lbs to loose before I hit my first big goal. I want to ride the sky bike on our cruise next month. I know that is totally going to happen. I am still 78 lbs…
  • Had a rough day yesterday. I got caught up with life and just forgot to eat. I did an hour water aerobics and an hour of dance fitness then DMV. I ate a normal lunch. When I got home hubby was doing yard work and I went out to help. Next thing I know it is 8:00 and I haven't had anything else to eat. I had burned way more…
  • @Grammy_Maher thats a lot to be going through while trying to loose weight. If you don’t feel that talking it through with your kids maybe you could go talk to a therapist. I often have clients that come in that just need someone to talk to without judgment or bias. They talk it out for a few sessions and then feel better…
  • Yeah. My first account was made with a work email address that I no longer have access to so I couldn't log in when I came back. Kinda sucked cause I would have liked to see where I started from last time and how long it took for me to get what I wanted.
  • @PAV8888 I have my own private practice so it won't flag. Also if you have a prescription for a medication that flags a test then they let it go as long as it is legal. I really haven't had any side effects. Which is slightly disappointing as I was looking forward to more energy. I don't plan to stay on it long term.…
  • This group is great. There are a lot of long time people that have formed great supportive relationships. I was here a few years ago under a different name and I found that having some people to talk to helped. Not everyone is still here but there are a lot of the same people. I have been back at it for the last 5 weeks…
  • @Athijade That sounds like a blast. My husband has been talking about going there soon. It sounds like a fun place. They have white water rapid rafting that I really want to try! I am really wanting philly cheese steak for dinner tonight. I know that this is going to be higher in calories than I usually eat for dinner so…
  • I struggle to do alone exercises. I like things that are planned out. I do mostly classes. My gym has a water aerobics class in the morning and a High Intensity Dance Exercise class in the evenings that I try to do. They have a ton of classes but these ones are fun and that is important to me. If I am miserable I'm not…
  • They do it all. Each patrol does their own. They have a budget per scout and they meal plan. One of them shops. They have a grub master that cooks all the meals. The quartermaster makes sure all the needed gear is brought. Other chores are assigned out; dishes, fire, Chaplin ect. They also sometimes plan the activities if…
  • We had 9 boys and 6 girls so it was a lot. We try to do at least one camp out a month. What’s nice is that since they are scouts (and troops are kid led) they plan their own menus and then cook their own food. The adults are only responsible for ourselves. I choose to plan and cook so that I can manage my intake better!
