  • I'm in the same boat with my husband working a swing shift. I LOVE working out during my lunch break (I usually run at a local park). Not only does it give me extra energy to push through the afternoon... It gets me out of the office so I can avoid all the crappy food brought in by my co-workers.
  • We have the same stats-I REALLY want to break the 130 mark. It's so tough. I started at 148 back in October, and am now between 133-135. Of course I'm happy with the results, but I really want to be in my 120's again. I like to run (although I'm not very good at it). I signed up for my first 1/2 marathon in about 2 months…
  • You and I have the same stats... I'm struggling to get to 130!!
  • Hey! My name is Christina. I'm 29 years old, and I have a 20 month old daughter. I've been struggling since she was born to get the weight off. However, it's nobody's fault but mine. I'm tired of making excuses for myself, and I need to learn how to handle set-backs, gains, and struggles. Like many of you, I sit at a desk…
  • Great work! Enjoy your spa day, you more than deserve it!
  • P.S. I "went potty" this morning before the weigh -in!! Every little bit counts!

  • Thanks for the support everyone! I really needed it! Going into it, I tried convincing myself that the number on the scale doesn't matter. What matters ishow I feel about my body, how my jeans fit, and how i feel in my swim suit this summer. BUT... it's still a bit dissapointing when the number goes up. I'm not…

  • Congratulations! And no, they don't fit because you've stretched them out... they fit because you've worked your butt off! Literally! What a wonderful feeling!
  • Thanks everyone! I really appreciate the support!

  • i noticed that... When i researched, it said that you could potentially burn up to 1,000 cals a class. I only log 550. I'de rather shoot low than assume i'm blasting more than I am realistically. I enjoy running myself. I've ran a couple of 5k's but that's about it. I'll be getting out as the weather progressively gets…

  • See... that's my problem. I can't just have one. I end up thinking, "well one won't kill me". Then once I'm finished with that piece, "whats one more piece". Not to mention, I find that there is something each day that tempts me to step off track. One day its my husband asking me to go out to dinner... or a friend asking…
  • Count me in too! Sounds like a great plan. Good luck everyone!
  • Sunday night, Monday night, Tuesday night... Yeah! Three nights in a row. Last night i planned on going to bed around ten. I couldn't get my head out of my book, and by the time i knew it, it was 2:00am. I was pretty hungry. I forced myself to go to sleep and looked forward to a nice breakfast! I plan to make tonight #4.…
  • I've made it through two days so far! Last night I forced myself to hit the sack at ten (when I started to get a bit hungry). When I woke up this morning I found the remains of a bag of chips and dip, as well as an empty pizza box. My husband and his friends must have really had a good time after I went to bed. I am soo…
  • I'm so proud of all of you! This is a pretty tough challenge. I've tried it before. I went weeks without eating past 6:00... and it most definately paid off. My husband doesn't get home until 6:45 most nights, so I am cutting off at 7:30. It's been 3 days for me so far. Last night a friend came over and ordered a late…
  • Great idea! I was just thinking about this earlier today. My cut off time will be 7:00. I did this once before and was pretty sucessful. Thanks for the challenge
  • God bless you, your father, and all of your family. You are in my prayers.
  • Watch calories Work out at least 5x this week Be brave and take a jog outside-even though it's freezing! Keep a positive attitude!
  • Congrats on getting out there! I don't like running either. I finished a 5K last year. I hated training for it, but once I crossed the finish line... I felt AMAZING! Keep it up, it will soon pay off!
  • I've never used the shot, but a couple of my girlfriends have. They both giained between 10-20 pounds. Granted, they aren't into exercize and probably don't keep a close eye on what they eat.
  • My birthday is this month. My husband has been bugging me about what I want. FINALLY a great gift that I really need! I take a kickboxing class. The calculator estimates I burn about 500 cals, and my instructor says we burn 800. I can't wait to see what I'm actually burning!
  • Does anyone have any tips on getting motivated to work out in the morning? I don't have to go to work until 9, so i have plenty of time to get a good thirty minutes in (at least). Thing of it is, I am NOT a morning person at all! If i know I can sleep until eight... I will. I would love to make a habbit out of working out…
  • i agree with you. My trainer has instructed me to do the same, and I think it's working out well.
  • veggie soup with grilled cheese! My favorite!
  • i yelled at a football player cuz that's how I roll.
  • I'm so glad i'm not the only one that feels like i'm ALWAYS starting over! Back to kickboxing and eating right!
  • Hello! I'm new here myself. Well, I started using this site about two weeks ago. I LOVE IT! If it helps... research shows that those who journalize their calorie intake and exercize are far more likely to reach their fitness/nutritional goals! Good luck!
  • Hello! I started logging into this FABULOUS website just last week. I fell in love with it. I'm 24, and wouldn't consider myself completely out of shape. However, i just got married 4 months ago, and i feel like i'm already starting to let myself go. I grew up as the "fat kid" and lost most of the extra weight a couple of…
