  • Wow! You look fantastic!!! What an inspiration :)
  • I wouldn't just go to your regular doctor, I did that when I first hurt my back and I suffered for over 5 years before I finally went to an orthopedist. Even after I did that it took time and several attempts at other treatments before it ultimately ended in surgery...TWICE (in less than a year). I had a micro discectomy…
  • I'm in Gurnee (where Six Flags is) and I would love to know other people in my area with similar goals :)
  • I love this, thanks for sharing!
  • Well now I have to add 20 minutes worth of Wii EA Sports Active :) Day 1 of they're 30 day challenge. It kicked my butt! The back of my shirt is soaked. Love it!
  • They're very small, around the same size and appearance of a poppy seed I guess. I don't really think they taste like anything, but a lot of people would say they have kind of a nutty flavor. I mix them in with smoothies, yogurt, oatmeal, etc and other than giving them a little texture I don't taste anything :)
  • I did 40 minutes worth of Wii Fit's Free Step so far today, I really like that I can switch over and watch tv and the Wii mote keeps my rhythm and counts my steps. Going to try some Wii Active since I haven't tried it yet.
  • I take a multivitamin Calcium Potassium Those three were all recommended by my Endocrinologist These next ones I'm taking based off my own research Chia seeds (great source of Omega-3s) for more info check out http://chiaforhealth.com/ Marine Phytoplankton (supports cellular health, promotes energy and vitality, contains…
  • When I'm craving cheese I usually grab a Laughing Cow cheese wedge (only 35 calories yay) www.thelaughingcow.com has a lot of yummy ideas for things including dip. Here's one I thought sounded good :) Ingredients 2 whole Wedges Of The Laughing Cow® Light French Onion Cheese ¼ teaspoons Honey ¼ cups Fully Cooked Black…
  • Congrats thats so awesome!!! That's one of the things I'm looking forward to most, shopping with friends and family has always been kinda depressing since I can't wear anything in the stores they shop in (and we don't often go in stores that carried my size because no one else needed to go there) I can't wait until…
  • I LOVE Chia seeds, I put them in my yogurt, my oatmeal, my smoothies, etc...they're awesome :)
  • Hey guys :) I weighed in before I joined the group this week and lost 0.8lbs and lost 1.5inches, but I weighed in again this morning and lost another 2.4lbs and an inch and a half off my bust and 2 inches off my waist!!! So my total loss this week is 3.2lbs and 5 total inches lost!!!! I'm so happy :) Hope everyone is…
  • Hi! I'd like to jump in on this :) A quick backstory, I had my second spinal surgery (a fusion) in March and have been recovering since then, I'm doing physical therapy, but the amount of activity that I can do is limited by what my therapist says is ok. Fortunately for me, she is actually encouraging me to do the Wii Fit,…
  • I'm in physical therapy (recovering from spinal surgery) and one of the things they emphasize is core work (to help support the spine), my therapist told me that with all the core work that they were having me do I could expect to lose 2in off my waist in about two weeks...and sure enough I did. I've been keeping it up and…
  • I bought it and I can't wait to start (I LOVE Jillian), but I'm recovering from spinal surgery so I have to wait for my physical therapist to clear me for more intensive workouts :) But I've heard great things, so I'm looking forward to it.
  • I have PCOS and Insulin Resistance, I've lost 21lbs so far and I'd like to lose at least 57 more! Its nice to have other people on here that I can relate too. I actually have to book a follow up appointment with my Endocrinologist for some follow up blood work...depending on how that looks I may go on medication :(
  • I have drier, natural curly hair and I love dry shampoo for between washes, it makes my scalp feel less grimy but my hair keeps its natural oils. I don't know if thats something you'd be interested in :)
  • Thats great! I know you can do it :) I really want to do a 5k myself, I started doing C25K but my physical therapist hasn't cleared me for jogging or running yet, just walking....so I'm not quite where I want to be there. My boyfriend recently started working out with a trainer, so I'm hoping that this may be a goal that…
  • Yup, perfectly fine. I love my crockpot :)
  • Not really a random thought, but still random... I had a doctor's appointment yesterday and they kept me waiting alone in the room for almost an hour, the XM radio started playing "Sara" (which just happens to be my name) and the second the song ended the doctor came in. So random...
  • Wow! You look AMAZING! And so healthy! Congrats!
  • Keep healthy snacks around :) But I know its still tempting, so do something that I was recently inspired to do by a magazine article: They showed a picture of a large oreo blizzard (mmm tasty summer ice cream treats) and informed us that it clocked in at over 1000 calories! And they went on to say that if I wanted to eat…
  • Thanks so much :) Yeah back problems are awful, but I feel so much better now (after surgery) I think I might just be unstoppable once my bone graft sets and I'm cleared for regular workouts :) I'm sorry to hear about your accident, that must have been so scary! I'm glad that you've still been able to eat healthy and lose…
  • Aw thanks so much guys! :) My back is doing much better (I just wish I had some of my flexibility back already...I still have to use a grabber sometimes to pick stuff up), I feel so much better in fact that I get so frustrated when they tell me I can't do things yet (like jogging) because the impact can affect how my bone…
  • Hi! Hope it's not too late to join, I would love to do this! My name is Sara, I'm 27 and I'm finishing up recovering from an L4-L5/S1 spinal fusion that I had done in March. That was my second spinal surgery in less than a year. I used to be very active before I started having issues with my back, and when you're back pain…
  • I loved it, but I love Jillian Michaels. I would love for her to come kick my butt and yell at me. I loved the comment the Dad made about how he thought she'd be bigger lol The family really did look great at the end, Jillian is a life changer, it must be so rewarding helping people like that.
  • There are lots of good free apps out there for Android phones to help with your weight loss :) Granted you can just access MFP from the browser, but if you want here are some of the tools I use: Calorie Counter, does exactly what it says, it helps you keep track of the nutritional information of the food and beverages you…
  • I was diagnosed with PCOS and Insulin Resistance and finally saw an endocrinologist this past fall. We made some adjustments to my diet (limiting my carb intake, like you guys have already mentioned) and I'm due to go back for more blood work/tests this month to see if there have been any improvements. I've lost 21lbs so…
