  • Have you tried the Bluetooth transmitter linked to the Polar Flow App? It directly syncs to your Polar Personal Trainer account. I'm considering this but then I won't need the FT7. ts
  • I did part 1 of Jillian's yoga inferno twice and burned over 400 calories. If you want good incentive look up DDP yoga and check out the video with Arthur. I paid $10.00 for the Jillian Michaels version at Walmart rather than shelling out $70.00 for the DDP yoga program. Neither of these DVDs are intended to be relaxing or…
  • Just a heads up. Next time, before you commit to buying, you can check out most DVDs on youtube.
  • I just started doing this and so far it's fun and yes, CHEAP. I buy a bag of frozen mixed vegetables that sound good. The first time a bought a southwestern mix second time I bought one with mushrooms brocoli and carrots. Then I portion them out into five plastic containers for each day of lunch. Either the night before or…
  • If you want to get a cardio workout on the Total Gym you need to use your arms and legs simultaneously. I do something called the "cardio pull" where I use the squat stand and push up with my legs as I'm pulling the handles. I try to do this for 15-20 minutes but switch it up as soon as I get board (which is every 5 to 10…
  • I think you'll lose more than that. If not, you will definately have a low percentage of bodyfat for sure! Stick with it. ts
  • Any updates with this supplement? I'm hoping, as others, this is a success! ts
  • My favorite thing to do on the total gym is try to find ways to mimic what I see on other infomercials. One particular gimmick is the AB Circle which can easily be done on the Total Gym without the expensive add-on apparatus. I recently purchased some ankle cuffs which now allow me to use my legs on some exercises which…
  • I just got off Lee's website and as usual check to see what's listed here on mfp. This looks legit and a fun way to lose weight with some coaching from one of bodybuiliding's best. ts
  • Invest in a heart rate monitor watch (I have a Polar FT7). You'll never have to worry about finding a conversion for any exercise ever again! ts
  • I use the plain as a substitute for sour cream. Works great on potatoes, chili and many other things without the guilt. I also use it as a mayonaise substitute when making tuna salad. ts
  • Check-out Shawn Michaels promo on youtube. He really soft sells it as "hey I'm not going to swear by it but it works for me" attitude which I like. I also like the fact that he picked out that it can be used the same way as an "ab circle" machine as well. I love watching other infomercials and then trying to mimic the move…
  • Sounds like a great routine. I have a 35lb kettlebell and the drawback is I do a good routine and feel good and winded. The next time I see my kettlebell I want to throw-up thinking what a buttkicking workout it is. I gotta try and remember... Baby steps. ts
  • I'm glad to see Clarence Bass on this post. He is the ultimate guru on health and conditioning. Read his ripped series for both education and more importantly, motivation.
  • The best thing about smoothies is you can be as creative as you want. Think of V8 juice and all the ingredients that are in there yet you only taste the tomato. Try adding a tablespoon of Bob's Redmill 10 grain cereal to add some fiber and whole grains to your diet or slip in an avocado. I don't think I've ever made the…
  • I have a cheap knockoff (Weider Bodyworks 5000) and LOVE IT!!! The main thing is to not get bored and change-it up to however your feel. I try to stay on it for 45 minutes and use 2lb dumbells 20lb dumbells 10lb medicine ball and even a 36lb kettelbell to mix things up. I track my calories burned on a Polar Heart Rate…

  • I bought a Polar Heart Rate Monitor and track my calories that way. It's a small investment but a great motivator if you want to catch yourself cheating. I love my Weider 5000 and am trying to find a good deal on Craigslist for a Bayou Total Trainer but not in a hurry. ts
