  • Hello friends. I am glad to see everyone making progress and hanging in there. Sorry I haven't been around much. things have been crazy lately and I have very little time at home to try to catch up, but... I am thinking about you all. Stay strong.
  • Alix - Zumba is great exercise. Nice that you found such a supportive group. Stay with it, you are doing great
  • Thanks for the reminder about the wall push ups. I also like to do counter push ups when i am in the kitchen working. Easy to get a set of 10 or 15 in quickly. I had a good day. I ate a little more than I planned, but stayed within calories. I was just feeling a little light headed tonight and had a PB English muffin.…
  • Teresa, we will definitely keep you and your grandpa in our prayers. You are right, it is important to stay strong so you can help your grandpa. Don't let the stress get you down. Barbara, you and another friend have helped me get my motivation back. I feel very strong about that and it feels so good to be back on track.…
  • Barbara - I will have to find my spinach dip recipe. Yes, it was good and I loved having it so I will look for it for both of us! When I made it before, I froze it in portion sizes so I was able to have some for a long time. I hope everyone is enjoying their weekend. I was able to spend a wonderful day with my sweet…
  • Friends, this is not weight related, but can I ask you to pray for the daughter of a friend? This little 3 year old was fine at Thanksgiving, but is now under hospice care. Please pray for a miracle, and for the family. Thank you.
  • Heather - maybe you can order one online like from Amazon?
  • I am feeling pretty motivated this week. I increased my water a bit which makes me feel good. Also got back into my exercise routine. For some reason, I have not been as good about exercising lately and I can feel the difference, so it felt good to get back on track. Now, the challenge is to stay there!
  • Pricilla - there are all kinds of great recipes on Pinterest. Also on Skinnytaste.com and CookingLight.com. I know there are some other sites, but I can't think of them right now. You might want to give these a try.
  • I don't know why but I am just exhausted tonight. I think this colder than usual weather has just worn me down. I think I am heading off to bed early tonight. Take care all.
  • For some reason I woke up early today and decided to add the extra time to my workout. I think I am missing all the walking I usually am able to do at work. Anyway, 9200 steps today so far and 8 glasses of water. I need to increase my water again. I like to average about 10 a day. I hope everyone is managing…
  • 8 glasses of water so far today, and 8,000 steps. I am averaging lower temporarily because I am working a different place and can't be as active as usual. Glad to be back on track.
  • Hello everyone. Barbara, thanks for inviting me to join the group. You are always so dedicated and such an inspiration. OK, my name is Tonia. I have been on MFP since Sept 2011. During the first 14 months I lost about 94 pounds. Then due to a number of things going on in my life I got lazy and focused on maintenance for…
  • I have been a vegetarian for over 20 years and I don't think it impacts my weight loss efforts one way or the other. The factors I see that make a difference are keeping my calories in line and getting in some exercise. Try to keep your macros in balance and make sure you get the nutrition you need whether you eat meat or…
  • Sounds yummy! Thanks for sharing :flowerforyou:
  • Sounds good, thanks! :flowerforyou:
  • Happy birthday Gloria! What a nice present you have given yourself this year. Congratulations on your success to date. I am sure with your determination you will reach your goal.
  • No, my dogs won't share so I guess I will just stick with people food. I do eat some of the carrots and apples I bought for my donkeys though! (and I do hope this is a joke and no one would seriously try dog food!)
  • I can relate to your post because I went through a very similar things. I lost steadily for quite sometime and then it seems like I went into what was a 3 month plateau. I just put A clear focus on logging carefully and staying with in my calorie limits and that seem to get me pass the plateau. I tried eating more calories…
  • Sarah - you have made an important first step just by being here. This is not easy, but you can do it. I have been doing this for 14 months and have lost over 90 pounds. If I could give you some advice it would be to be faithful to your logging, and be honest about it. Don't 'cheat' in your diary. You only cheat yourself.…
  • You may never 'like' doing weights, but what you will probably find is that you will love the way you start to feel as you lose weight and get healthier. It sounds like you have a good plan to get started. Stay with it, you can do this!
  • A newborn calf... and since I raise cattle, I can tell you that they are heavy! Somehow in those terms it seems a lot heavier!
  • Thanks, sounds awesome

  • Great point! My husband's father had breast cancer, as have many of my friends. Think pink!
  • You have done a great job. Be proud of your accomplishments.
  • Happy Birthday Karen! :flowerforyou: Robinsegg - I hope you feel better soon.
  • Hi all. I am still out here, just don't have the time right now that I had before. I noticed some folks trying different apps for walking. One great one I tried is Map My Walk. It's a free app and does a great job. You might want to check it out.
