The pain I have is located at the bottom of my calf muscle (tendons?) and wraps/radiates around to the front interior side of my shin bone. Not regular shin splints, that muscle feels fine. I did go to a running store because of my previous issue, but they only checked my pronation by walking across the floor, not my gait, cadence or whatever else they could check and I did get new shoes and they're not cheap. Lol, Sometimes I think proteins is all I eat. But still gotta throw in a few high fiber carbs and lots of green veggies. WILL NOT eat pastries, pasta, potatoes, or rice. It's been suggested I try quinoa, just haven't gotten to the store yet.

LOL, I'm in a simalar boat! Been on here a couple weeks, lost 5 lbs (20 since I first started), and a husband who loves me but is slow to support. He's slowly getting there though, it's just taking me a bit to get that fire lit under his butt. He's mostly just holding back to learn more about his own back.

Yep, I have the same problem and not just on the elliptical. And it always seems to start with my left foot 'ring' toe spreading to the ball of my foot. I've changed shoes, wiggled my toes and loosening my laces. It has helped some, but has not eleviated the problem entirely. It's not severe for me so I just keep plodding…

I'm in the exact same boat! Quit smoking 5 weeks ago this Thursday. I'd been gradually losing weight up until that time, but that stopped, which is part of the reason why I'm here also. Think it'll be a good place to get going again.
