  • Thanks for the ideas. Running club not really my thing. My body reacts better to lifting than it does to Cardio. Something I have learnt over the years. Most local PT's are either bootcamps in the field which isn't my thing or affiliated to a gym which you have to be a member of before you can start asking those types of…
  • Thanks for the comments guys. I just thought it was such a funny comment. Ran it off today and said to hell with it. Did my OHP workout and went for a 15 minute run which turned into a 40 minute 5k
  • 2baninja - It provides a flatter platform than shoes which have a lean forwards as the heel is slightly higher. Better balance and better platform for a heavy lift. You can get flat lifting shoes or better shoes than the trainers I wear but it less outlay to lift in socks for dead’s. Better base in short
  • I was enjoying it so much today I nearly didn’t go back 😂
  • Do feel very good physically. Better than I was. Need to try stay motivated and out 100% in
  • Looked my worst in June 2013 (pic on left) Started lifting June 2014. Lost 16 lbs since June 2013 that is all. But the inches Right pic is September 4th 2015 Still belly to loose but it's a long and fun journey
  • That's what has been so tough. Been watching the scale up and down like a yo-yo. Gone from 88.6kg to a staticish 80.6kg Lightest was when I can back from holiday at 76.4kg. But I seem to stick at 80kg. Can't push through it but then not so worried about the weight as I am lifting heavy which is changing the body shape and…
  • Ha ha. Whoops yeah meant September. Love the Delorean comment. Usually the one I use
  • Thank you. Not totally toned. The belly is hidden which is still needing to loose inches But we all know that is the last place it goes from. Chest size has toned and grown which makes the body shape look a lot better than 2 years ago. Here's to the next 6 months
  • I would melt them down. Put the melted chocolate into a bowl of corn flakes or rice crispies. Spoon the mixture into cup cake holders and put in the fridge. Nice treats and portion sized as well. Then again I would say right I am starting tomorrow so tonight I am having a chocolate fest and scoff both of them in one go. Or…
  • The Tefal Fresh Express http://www.amazon.co.uk/Tefal-MB750G36-Fresh-Express/dp/B006ZCU3T0 Chops pretty much anything quickly. Grated cheese. No problem. a whole block in about 2 minutes. It takes longer to chop it down to a size that can go in. Carrots etc grated, sliced. 5 different attachements for different sizes.…
  • Shovelling snow is a great burn. I was supposed to have a rest day on Friday but as it snowed I took the chance to do something different. I took my girls to the local park which is quite flat. Put one each in a sledge (15kg each as they are twins) and held the handles and ran. Only did like minute and 2 minute runs. But…
  • :o) The Americans were a real force to reckon with in the 80's and I would not be surprised if they are big this year in the Speedway World Cup. Herbie has a great team around him :o)
  • No One :o(
  • D'oh missed the cut for this month as I lost the thread for April :o( Not a problem as I am not around the last week of May anyway so see you all in June. Good luck all. You can do it
  • Well done all. I lost the thread so never managed to update my last weigh in. I am back to where I started at in April. So not a good month for me. As I am on holiday and of may and june I will probably look to join again June/July. Keep up the good work all.
  • One Word Idiot Lol. Oh if girls were that bold when I was single.
  • Too much choice. top 3 would probably be 1. Freddie Mercury 2. Kurt Cobain 3. Elvis But I would let the following in as well : Nigel Hopkins - (Ok not many will know him but he is an excellent Trumpet player, played at the Royal Variety before he was 16 and used to live next door to me. Not seen him in years) Have a listen…

  • Met my wife on a street corner in the red light district. Ok... Not strictly true but I love embaressing her like that. The full story is Met in Sept 1995 in a University Lecture Theatre. She was third row back 2 seats from the right. I was front row 4 seats from the right. For me it was love at first sight. We were both…
  • A lot of speculation according to the Beeb at the moment. Nothing concrete but that is a lot of police and a big area to cordone off if it was not serious.
  • There was also the English football defender Sol Campball Saw him walking up the street. Smiled and said to him "Excuse me, you place for England don't you". His Response : "No I am definatly not Sol Campball" My Response : "Pleased to meet you definatly not Sol Campball. Have a good Tournament in a couple of months". I…
  • But it's not even the whole band with just a new front man. John Deacon has not performed with them since Freddie died other than a couple of cameo's. No one is ever going to replace Freddie or keep Queen going the way he did. Personally I would prefer to see a new band with Brian May and Roger Taylor. The music that would…
  • John Cleese seems to get attributed to these quite often. This one still makes me laugh
  • Nickleback are ok. Great music to do a strip tease to ;o) Get some practice in then let him know there is only one time allowed to play nickleback. When you strip for him. Atleast you will get some loving to numb the pain ;o)
  • Chocolate that is given to you is free So all those easter eggs the easter bunny brought don't count :o)
