  • Congrats Beautiful Blues on the losses and no gains. Deb- I really hope everything works out for you with the house! It's a shame it has to be so drawn out and stressful on you. (darn bank)
  • Deb- good luck on the house, both the one you are trying to get and selling yours. That is definitely stressful! I hope it all works out well for you.
  • I had a great day yesterday. With excercise, I stayed in my calories. I started a class yesterday. They are doing a Zumba class 2 times a week here at work and it was so much fun! Mostly we just laughed at ourselves (and each other). We started at a real easy pace and will pick it up as we go on, I'm glad because…
  • Sorry I didn't check in yesterday. We were finally able to get aout and about after all the snow here! I took my son to a movie and just enjoyed the day out. Good job everyone. It was so hard for me not to turn to all the comfort foods while being snowed in, but I guess shoveling compensates a lot for any temptations. I…
  • We had a birthday lunch for my boss today. I did indulge :blushing: But, I also joined a group that is going to do Zumba classes twice a week after work. Have a great weekend bb's. :flowerforyou: :flowerforyou: :flowerforyou:
  • smadag - I hope you feel better real soon! The oatmeal bath sounds like good advice. I lost very little, but a loss is always good. I did my shopping for food supplies for work. I always do so much better when I stock up on healthy snacks and don't feel tempted to hit the snack box. I know I'll do even better this week.…
  • Getting ready for friends to come over. Its funny how last night I was thinking not much to do today to get ready, but then a critical eye in the morning and suddenly I have a big list. Oh well, the housework counts as exercise in my book. Its also good that I have control over the snacks so I know I have some food I don't…
  • Not such a great week. I had a little surgery on Monday and sat on the couch most of the rest of the week. Back to work today and really motivated for a great weeked. They started a biggest loser challenge here at work and each week they are gving a recipe. We are inviting people over tomorrow so I am preparing the Chile…
  • Debnu1, that's what I have to do tonight too, take the tree down. I got everything else put away yesterday and the snowmen are out. That definitly gave me excercise, lugging all the stuff upstairs (and it's not like anyone helped). They helped when I was putting it up, I guess it's no fun to put it away. I'm still stuck at…
  • I appologize if there was a mix up. I started at 168.4 but lost just a pound last week. It took all 8 weeks to lose the 5. I'm happy with that though. You Blues are the best support!! :flowerforyou: :flowerforyou:
  • We already had our snow storm so we go two hour delays Monday and Tuesday. I love them, you get to sleep a little later and you don't have to make them up. We get a half day tomorrow. It was nice that your district is letting you have tomorrow off. Enjoy the extra time!
  • Thanks, that is very motivating!! I'm competitive, so I really want to do my part to see Beautiful Blues #1 next week. Go Blues! :drinker: :drinker:
  • I appologize to my Beautiful Blue team, I am up one pound this week. I blame it all on cookie baking all weekend. I guess I tried too many samples. :ohwell: I'll work hard the next 4 days and take a little break on Christmas. I have a Christmas Eve party, but I plan on bringing a tray of veggies and shrimp. That way I know…
  • Congrats everyone. I was pleased with my mini weight loss. It is definitely the fact that I have to check in. I have been working on the water this week. Tonight I'm going to try thumper's suggestion of doing some kind of excercise during commercial breaks. I am going to encourage everyone to do it. A little family fun!…
  • I really thought I would be up today on the scales after having family here for 5 days. Surprisingly I am down a pound. Must be the shopping. Plus I worked hard Saturday and Sunday.
  • Thanks for all the helpful info. I learned a lot this morning. It's great that debnu1 and tttthumper have such good information to share.
  • Thank you Taradise and Sanifrey. I am doing better today, I've already had 2 waters and I packed a salad for lunch (no temptations). You are right, logging that food really makes you aware of what you put in your mouth! Here's to a better day :flowerforyou:
  • I know everyone is trying so hard but I have to confess a major slippage today. Once a year the school has a "turkey dinner" and I ate it today  It wasn't even that good! I did log it (OMG) I really wish I hadn't. I did skip dinner but it was a stupid choice. Really it was just one of the stupid choices I used to make…
  • I agree! Work hard this week, GO BLUE :drinker: :drinker:
  • Thanks, but I had the flu all weekend. I really, really hope I can keep it off plus.
  • I lost almost two pounds this week. Unfortunately I had the flu all weekend. I did work hard last week before it hit so I will give myself that. Just means I have to make sure I work even harder this week so I don't slide back up. Next week will be my biggest challenge. My company (for the Thanksgiving holiday) starts…
  • If it is ok, I would really like to rejoin the blue team. I have decided to get back on track. I am back at the gym and I have started to log the food. I am hoping to see some results with the additional motivation from the blue team. I have seen the scale starting to slide upward and I definitely don't want that!
  • Sent my weigh in to you, Rach. I am still at 159, no loss but no gain either. I consider that an accomplishment after going out to dinner after graduation on Thursday, end of the year party at work on Friday followed by taking our guests from Maine and Rhode Island out to eat. The graduation cookout (complete with…
  • I finally made it into the 150's again (159). I haven't seen that in over 6 years. It is so good to be in this community of "beautiful blues". Not only is everyone willing to share their successes but also their stresses and sorrows. It all helps me personally. I can relate to so much of what all of you are going through…
  • You go girl!! You do definitely sound happier. :flowerforyou: Keep up the great work!
  • Good for you Chickadee, that is definitely one of the things I would like to add daily is the morning walk. I was doing it for a LITTLE bit but the desire for a little extra sleep keeps winning.
  • I lost a pound. It would have been two, but I think I did not drink enough water yesterday. The salty and sodium filled foods from the weekend have caught up to me. I need to flush them out. MORE WATER, that is my plan for the rest of the week. Have a good week everyone!!
  • good job blue team. We are off to a great start. :flowerforyou: This is so motivating for me, it keeps me on track more than anything.
  • I am glad we have started the new challenge and am sorry I didn't check in on week one. This has motivated me though to get going agian. It is so easy to slack off. It is also so easy to blame it all on the stress. I have a son graduating in a couple of weeks and that creates a huge amount of stress even though it is a…
  • I felt that way too but did it anyway. It took me a year to work up the courage to go to a class. Now I go to only one. The people in it are nice to me even though I can only do a fraction of what they do!
