Not such a great week. I had a little surgery on Monday and sat on the couch most of the rest of the week. Back to work today and really motivated for a great weeked. They started a biggest loser challenge here at work and each week they are gving a recipe. We are inviting people over tomorrow so I am preparing the Chile Con Queso from eatingwell.com. Looks good and I can enjoy without guilt. They are also starting a Zumba class twice a week here. I've never done it but want to try!

Have a great weekend Beautiful Blues!!

Sorry to hear about your surgery. I hope everything went well. It is amazing how much just a little thing--like minor surgery can take so much out of a person. I did that a month ago and was really surprised how worn out I was!

    Take care!

j_g4ever- Ab ripper is really great. In the beginning it was tough, but my body is now used to it. In a few months, I might have to switch to another ab dvd, because the body gets really used to one type of dvd after a while and might not burn as much calories as it burned in the beginning.

My friend has the p90x so I might have to see if they have found it yet. they just moved a couple of month ago.

Getting ready for friends to come over. Its funny how last night I was thinking not much to do today to get ready, but then a critical eye in the morning and suddenly I have a big list. Oh well, the housework counts as exercise in my book. Its also good that I have control over the snacks so I know I have some food I don't feel bad eating.
Have a great day everyone and thanks debnu1.

Just got home from visiting my brother and sister in law for the weekend. I had a good time, but weighing tomorrow kind of scares me. I think that I did ok staying under my calories, but wasn't eating the right kind of foods. My sister in law is a cookie factory, and she serves 3 or 4 varieties of carbs at every meal. Here's hoping for the best, because I worked hard this week, but even if I don't lose, I will be okay with it, because I don't do well when eating junk instead of real food. Hope everyone is having a good weekend, and I will check in tomorrow!

I lost 0.8 pounds! I know it's not much, but it means that the holiday weight is gone, and for the first time since Nov. 23rd, I was able to change my weight! Look out world, here I come again!

    Mornin all

Had a very rough weekend. I woke up Saturday morning with a light reash on my arm so aafter taking Lexi to the vet I went to the clinic to make sure it was nothing seriuos like chicken pox ( i didn't have them as a kid) but the DR told me that I had an alergic reaction to the amoxacillan that I was put on for my sinus infection. He told me to stop taking it and the rash would go away. Well the rash has not gone away but gotten worse and itches like CRAZY. I am going to make an appointment with my regular DR today to see if she can help with the itching. The Rash now covers 90 % of my body from head to ankles. I can not workout until I can do something for the itching because if I get warm it itches worse.

smadag - I hope you feel better real soon! The oatmeal bath sounds like good advice.

I lost very little, but a loss is always good. I did my shopping for food supplies for work. I always do so much better when I stock up on healthy snacks and don't feel tempted to hit the snack box. I know I'll do even better this week.

Happy Monday and good luck on weigh ins BBs! :flowerforyou:

    smadag1- feel better soon

So I just weighed myself and I haven't loss any weight and I'm pissed/sad/depressed/angry/and everything inbetween. I have been very good at watching everything I eat. Bumped up my exercise to 45 mins 5x a week. It feels great to be doing that and I have been eating 1/2 my exercise calories and still nothing. I can't even express How hard I am trying and still nothing. My only idea is to get my thyroid checked and go talk to my doctor at this point. I have been at this weight for a long time now and there is still nothing. I have been so proud of myself for choicing an apple over chocolate lastnight. I really am at a loss as to what I'm going to do. I don't want to give up but in my head that is what it keeps on telling me.

j_g4ever- You're probably at a plateau, and I think lots of people here in MFP have gone through that. Hang in there! You have lost quite a lot of weight and should be proud. Are you drinking enough water?
  • j_g4ever
    j_g4ever Posts: 1,925 Member
I have been drinking between 2-3 quarts of water a day.

Alright so I couldn't stop not counting calories today and I did exercise for 40 mins. I got an appointment to see my doctor tomorrow. I was actually surprised to get in that soon. We will see what she has to say.

Do you guys have any tips on what I should bring besides myself??

I'm in a better mood now. I'm sure the first thing she will check will be my thyroid.

I just made this Spinach Tuna Casserole recipe for about the 4th time, and it continues to be one of my favorites. I only make half a recipe, and my husband and I have it for dinner with enough leftover for a lunch. Enjoy!
