Beautiful Blue Team WEEK 3

I binged so much on sugar and carbs last night it was obscene!:noway: I started over again, as usual, and walked and planted flowers. Probably burnt about 300 cals or so I figure. That's my exercise for today. I normally wouldn't call that "exercise", but I know I won't be doing anything more today. Lately I just want to eat. And as for PMS week-uggh. I take a Midol type pill and it works for the aches. As for chowing, it's like "excuse" week. And I take "happy pills" for the PMS moodiness. Before, I would want to push my hubby down the stairs, and shake the kids when they were fighting, so now, we're all still alive, in one piece, and a lot more pleasant. :drinker:
What are these happy pills of which you speak? Because if this house had stairs, my husband would have been at the bottom of them long ago! Lucky for him we're poor and can't afford a bigger house right now!0 -
It's actually Effexor for my anxiety, which in today's world, who wouldn't be nuts, and the side effect helps depression. And no weight gain with them! Just the weight gain as I reach for more crap to eat. If there was a tub of icing (has to be butter)-vanilla preferred, anywhere near me-I'd bury my face in it and let 'er go tonight.:grumble: Evenings are the worst for me...0

Rach, what is the latest time you need our weights tomorrow? I usually send mine in of a morning. When do you like to have our weights turned in?0

I'm also on effexor mine was because of depression but it also helps with anxiety. Crazy. You are in your last ten pounds and I have heard that is the worst to get rid of. My other thought would be theropy. I know it helps me. I keep everything in and that is when I tend to eat but with theorpy i can let things out and I don't tend to eat as much. just a thought.0 -

Don't beat yourself up! At least you got a vacation right? :bigsmile:0 -
Well guys, I got to bed early last night and got up at 5 today, but decided to go for an extra hour or so of sleep instead of workout, so I'll be doing Shoulders & Arms tonight. My abs are really sore, along with my calves but I feel good! I'm very happy to report that I'm down 0.4lb even after my chips and soda binge at the beginning of the weekend. I did a really good job of exercising and eating well yesterday and hope to continue that trend.
Can't wait to see how well you all did! :flowerforyou:0 -
my weight today is 205.20
-
My weight was 230.2. I lost  :
I was so sure I was going to gain because of how my body is handling things right now that even a .2 loss is exciting.0 -
I lost a pound. It would have been two, but I think I did not drink enough water yesterday. The salty and sodium filled foods from the weekend have caught up to me. I need to flush them out. MORE WATER, that is my plan for the rest of the week.
Have a good week everyone!!0 -
Rach - Thanks for the encouragement! Going on vacation was fun. We stayed with my in-laws, and they always have tons of junk in the house. I ate poptarts and Reese's puffs cereal every day! :blushing: I don't buy that stuff so hopefully the weight will fall off quickly! Hope things with your new routine go well! Great job exercising!
Dawn717 - I am with you on the sodium-filled foods over the last few days! Hopefully drinking more water will do the trick!

Down 3 pounds!!!!!!!!!!!!! I know that a little bit of it is my body letting go of the TOM bloat but the trend has continued to be downward so I will take whatever kind of loss I can get. Because when I get to my goal, it can't be 70 pounds of water weight! Good job, blue team! Even if you didn't lose, you're here, you're weighing in and that counts for a whole lot!!!0
-
I got in 40 minutes of walking this morning, before 8 AM! I feel pretty good. Going to eat something then take a shower. I don't think I lost any weight since last week, but I'm not sure.0

Weigh In: 1340

Good for you Chickadee, that is definitely one of the things I would like to add daily is the morning walk. I was doing it for a LITTLE bit but the desire for a little extra sleep keeps winning.0

chrissy - turtles ARE stinky! I have a friend who's had his for about five years. Has him in a huge tank in the dining room. They take him out every now and then and the cat freaks!!
rach - :drinker: congrats on the loss and goodluck on the workout routine!!
ngwife - congrats on the 3 pound loss!!!! water weight counts hehe hey... any time the scale goes in a downward motion, it feels good!
writer4him - vacation?! What's that?!
dawn717 - I hear ya about the sodium! I have significantly reduced my intake (painstakingly, I might add!) and have noticed that if I have a higher-sodium day (not even exceeding the 2500 mgs), my fingers swell up like sausages and I just generally feel... blah! Not to mention the scale doesn't like me. I'm thinking of talking to my doc about fluid pills... but, I don't really want to take something if I don't need it!
chickadee - congrats on the exercise before 8 a.m.!! Big feat. :glasses:
jacqueline - congrats!!! when are you done with school???
I started a new workout routine yesterday. Not sure how it's going to go, but... hopefully I'll see some results by Saturday! That's my weigh-in day. I found the routine in an old 2008 Hers magazine. It is a three-day breakdown of strength training - called the "Get Lean" program or something. Day one you work shoulders, triceps and chest; day two you work legs and abs; day three you work arms and back. It says the routine should be supplemented for cardio, too, but... I'm also doing 20 minutes of cardio per day because it seems like the program is meant for someone who has already lost the weight they wanted to lose and just wants to develop their muscles. Let me tell you, though... my chest and shoulders are sore, sore, sore today! and it feels great... hehe
P.S. - I faced my fears, bought two pregnancy tests, took one over the weekend, took one this morning and... I'm not pregnant!
P.P.S. - I've decided to become a nun.0 -
lcorrell... congrats on the non-pregnancy LOL.. that sounds bad but I would FREAK out if I had another oopsie (all 3 of mine were the best oopsies ever but my 'baby' is now 8, so we're done haha). Hopefully your body returns to normal for you....
I lost 3 lbs. too... didn't lose any last week, so that averages to 1.5 lbs. for the 2 weeks and I'm super happy about that I know I didn't drink enough water yesterday AND I ate sunflower seeds AND I had a couple beers (can you say SODIUM????) LOL.. so I need to drink lots of the water today.
And it's going to get hot around here again, until Sunday or Monday, so flippin' yay *rolling eyes* Have I mentioned I hate summer?? Not the actual being out of school and fun part of it.. just the weather LOL.0 -
I never realized before, how much my breakfast has to do with me being 'awake' at work. Yesterday I was alert most of the morning after having eggs, turkey bacon and a protein shake. This morning was just 1 whole grain poptart because I slept in and boy am I feeling sluggish and gross. Lesson learned! :drinker:0

Good job with the workout! Sounds like a fabulous plan to me!!!! Glad you were able to take the tests! It's a huge stressor just not knowing and wondering! I had a positive test in March followed by like 20 negative tests, so I'm pretty sure I had a chemical pregnancy. It's a bummer but being pregnant while my husband is gone while taking care of my daughter and starting a new career wasn't exactly an ideal situation to begin with. I would have be super excited if that was the plan for me, but I'm guessing there's something else in store right now. My point here is that I took 21 pregnancy tests and wondering for that month was super stressful!!!
A nun...   Too funny! I'd last about 3 seconds as one.0 -
Morning all,

Good Morning, little steps this week with weight loss. down a tiny bit over 1 lb. will try harder this week. weight is 188.00

Well....No loss/No gain. Not sure if to be sad or thankful???:ohwell:
277.5
I need the motivation to exercise in the morning. It seems like my day gets away from me & next thing I know I didn't fit my exercise in. I am just not a morning person. I have tried in the past. Guess I just need to force myself. ..???....???
Any suggestions on how to turn into a morning exciser?

joesgal01 - look at it this way, at least you didn't gain weight. I know how you feel on the whole not having enough time to get exercise in. I just up and decided to get out of bed and go walk. It really helped. Now, I still have to go walk again and do some exercises, but I decided I have to do it today and cant' put it off anymore. :happy:0

Well - I lost .2 this week. Not sure why (yes, I know it's better than nothing). All weekend I have been digging holes, raking and shoveling rocks and dirt, and now this morning I installed 500 sq feet of sod. Been working my butt off. I did notice my daily calorie count dropped because I was just so busy and forgot to eat more. For some reason my body prefers to lose weight at about 1600-1700 calories a day. When I go lower than that, it just holds on to it. Two days ago I was actually up 2 pounds! I'll try to get more calories in earlier in the day. Can't wait til this backyard project is completely done so I can get back to normal exercise. Not liking the manual labor. I still have to lay the rest of the sod in the side yard when it cools down later.
Looks like there have been some good weight losses this week - good job guys! :flowerforyou:0 -

I've never been one for mornings either but I like it sooo much more. For one, as long as I push myself outta bed and get to it, I don't have all day to come up with reasons why i shouldn't workout that day. It also drives me to make better food choices as well. If I got up at 5am and worked out for an hour I'm sure as heck not going to sit around and eat crap all night, or it just feels like a waste! Of course, I still don't look forward to doing it, but I never really look forward to working out. I just keep reminding myself of all the positive things that will come from my workout. :flowerforyou:0 -
Hey blue team!
I'm 156 this week. That's no change from last week's weigh in, but I'm very happy with it! I had so much work to do after my crazy weekend of eating too much & having my TOM. Hopefully next week will be better!
Congrats to everyone!

Hey everyone! I'm still waiting on quite a few weights so I'm going to post the new chart and the week 4 thread after I finish my P90x and possibly a run (haven't decided yet). Hopefully a few more will be sent in by then so I don't have to keep revising the chart. :drinker:0

Try doing only 15min in the morning. You'll get used to getting up ealier and then can increase the time a little more. That's how I started and once you start, you'll realize it's better than coffee for waking up.0 -
I was going to just do my morning workouts when I do the wii active so I would workout 2 days and have a day off. But I think Im going to run in the mornings on the days off of the wii active and just have a day rest a week. Maybe this will help me kick start my weight loss.0
