  • I reached one too. When ever I reach one, I up the intensity of my workout. I also reach a plateau when Aunt Flow visits. This last about 2 weeks where I dont loose any weight. After those two weeks, I loose about 4 lb + of water weight. I keep track of my cycle so I know whats going on.
  • On Cardio days, I average around 20,000 steps or more. On non cardio days, I average about 12,000 steps. My job is very active and it shows.
  • I will drink a large glass of milk before bed if I still need calories. It also gives me protein.
  • A healthy body will is able to detox without expensive cleanses or procedures. It detoxes you on a daily basis. I could see doing hydrotherapy if your digestive system is backed up. But, first you should go to a doctor and figure out whats going on and how to prevent it from happening again. If you want the same effect…
  • Women dont bulk up the way men do. Most women dont have the amount of testosterone needed to produce large bulky muscles. Lifting some weights or doing body weight calisthenics will help you get a toned look that you may not achieve by doing only cardio.
  • And time, the longer you walk, the more calories you will burn.
  • I think its something that you need to talk to your doctor about. The surgery will only work if you make considerable lifestyle changes as well. This will include new diet and exercise. The surgery itself is not a walk in the park. I have seen a few friends go through it. Its hard on the body.
  • I go for a walk in the evening after dinner if I am under my goal step count for the day. I also go for walks during my two 20 min breaks at work. It also helps to boost my mood throughout the day. I try to walk during lunch too. But, I am working full time and taking a class so lunch is sometimes homework time.
  • I drink some good old fashion milk about 30 min before It has some carbs and protein. Its important to have some sugar in your blood system to help fuel the workout.
  • I have had asthma and allergies since I was little. Its basically under control now except when the junipers are pollinating. Swimming is a good exercise for people with asthma and allergies. The humidity helps keep the lungs clear. I also suggest using your rescue inhaler before workouts if you are having problems…
  • Eat lots of green leafy veggies they are low in calories but can help with BM. If the trend continues, talk to your doctor.
  • Fitbit is good about replacing lost trackers. The silicone in the belt holders are notorious for becoming loose after a few months. Its a design flaw and fitbit is working to correct it.
  • I found that drinking milk helps bump up caloric intake and gives my some extra protein.
  • I dont have that problem with the fitbit zip.
  • The same volume of muscle will weight more then fat so it is true. Fat just takes up more space in our bodies.
  • I have allowed myself to have a few fun sized pieces of candy this past week. I had the calories to spend so I allowed myself a treat. The hard part was just eating one. Part of my new fitness lifestyle is balance. I allow myself to have treats every now and then. I like them and I know that I could not cut them out…
  • Are all of the surfaces truly level? I know that this can make a huge difference in the readings. If one surface tilts one way, then you will weigh less. If it tilts another way then you will way more. In any case, you should be fine if you keep it in the same place at all times. I have mine on a specific tile on the…
  • It all depends on what you want from the device. I was looking for an inexpensive device that tracked my daily activity level for me. The fitbit zip fit that bill at $59. I got it for less using my REI 20% off coupon and dividend. The display on the device will tell me how many steps I have taken, how many miles I have…
  • Pushups, squats, shoulder dips, lunges, crunches, exc are all good. You can modify them to add dumbbells or barbells too.
  • Its time to talk to your doctor.
  • Yes, thats how I do it. I sync mine up before dinner so I have some idea as to how many calories I have to spend. I then sync it up right before bed. If you do exercise that is not tracked using the fitbit like weight training then you need to enter it into the fitbit website. It will then get transferred over to mfp.
  • Its not quite automatic. You do have to go to the check in page (http://www.myfitnesspal.com/measurements/check_in) and save changes. But other then that, its pretty smooth. I just started to use the zip today so I am still learning how to use it. But, I have found no problems in linking the two accounts. I do like the…
  • Fitbit's main function is a pedometer. It is a fairly accurate pedometer. If you get the ultra then you can also track your sleep. It tracks basic activity level but I dont think it will track anything that your HRM is not tracking.
