  • I think it really depends on the person, but I try not eat back the calories from exercise. I actually wish MFP didn't net the calories.
  • I normally weight in every other week on a Friday morning.
  • Every so often I use Nature's Sunshine Aloe Max Lax...all natural laxative.
  • I find that if I work out with makeup on, I tend to break out on my cheeks. Just a tip. Remove that makeup before working out girls!

  • From a woman's perspective, there's a huge difference between enhancing your beauty and creating an artificial illusion. I'm all for makeup, bronzers, push up bra's...but there has to be a limit ladies. Pretending to have C cups when you actuall have A cups is kind of ridiculous. Or having hair extensions that reach to…
  • Break it down during the day...you need to drink 4 bottles of water per day. Perhaps aim to drink each by a certain time of the day. 1 before 11am, 1 before 3pm, 1 before 6pm, and 1 before 9pm...or something around those lines. I try to get in 8 bottles of water per day..and it can be difficult if I don't pace myself. I…
  • I sometimes have this problem too--I find that if I eat dinner a little later, I won't get hungry in the night. Also drinking water constantly helps to curb the appetite.
  • I normally drink an EAS Myoplex Lite (French Vanilla) for breakfast in the morning. Only 170 calories and contains 20 grams of high quality protein. I'm not a big breakfast person, so this is a healthy way for me to ensure breakfast in my tummy, without any preparation. I buy the pre-packaged boxes, a 4 pack is normally…
  • I don't log all of meals before I eat them, but sometimes I do evaluate what I eat by logging it, before I actually eat it. For instance, the other day I stopped at Boston Market for a chicken meal, and after checking the calories, I tossed the cornbread...it simply wasn't worth the calories. This is a good strategy for…
  • I'm in...I normally stay below...unless I'm drinking alcohol or eating any kind of dessert.
  • Don't use the BMI as a way to measure your weight - it is unrealistic, especially if you are woman with natural curves. I'm 5'2" and it says I should weight 112 lbs...I am very nicely shaped...and cannot preserve my curves if I go below 140. Go by how you feel, how your clothes fit...personally I don't find super skinny as…
  • Other than lipo or laser-lipo, there really are no perfect ways to target specific areas of your body. However, CARDIO is an excellent way to get your body revved up, and while your mid section is often the last to go, you will see a difference in inches after consistently working out and eating right. Good luck!
  • Sounds like moderation and having fun are the main key's here! I hope everyone enjoys their holiday. Stay safe and have fun!
  • This sounds interesting...I'd love to know about it.
  • I naturally have a very curvy figure, and my thighs especially are rather "large" in comparison to my body. To keep them lean and toned, make sure you do a lot of cardio. I love kickboxing and tae-bo. Also, Tone Fitness, and other brands, have slimming bands that you wear around your waist, arms, or thighs, which help to…
  • I have to agree with both sides. 150 lbs looks different on each person, due to body build, height, shape, etc. As far as the BMI scale, I think (for lack of a better word) it's garbage. I'm 5'2" and it says I should weigh 110 lbs, which is insane, I would be skin and bones if I weighed that. I think that as long as you…
  • Clue me in here guys...what is the 30 day shred...and why have I never heard of it!!??
  • I feel your pain. I have a serious problem with eating "when I'm supposed to", especially breakfast, and typically do not eat over 1200 calories, unless I'm cheating that day, of course. I found that high protein high calorie snacks are a quick way to meet your calorie goal. Almonds and cheese and my favorites. Good luck!
  • Stay motivated! You can do it!
  • It is definitely important to drink water, it's normally suggested to drink 8 glasses of water per day. I keep at 32 oz tumbler at my desk (at work) and fill it up 2 to 3 times per day, which equates to almost all of your daily needed water. Yes, your body will adjust to it after a while. Water naturally helps to aid in…
  • WOW YOU LOOK AWESOME!! What a great job!! Adding you as a friend to stay motivated!!
  • Losing weight at a healthy pace is great--you should be losing about 1 - 1.5 lbs per week, if you stay on a healthy diet and exercise. If you are looking to boost your weight loss, you definitely need to step out of your comfort zone. Try a different workout, something that you would not normally do. I've found Tae-Bo and…
