A cinder block. Yeesh. And I have an elephant's penis left to go. Attractive.

You look amazing! And about 10 years younger, wow

As you don't have very much weight to lose, your body can't (and shouldn't) drop weight all that fast, so a half a pound a week is a good goal. The first week it's not unusual to see no loss/a slight gain. Keep the faith! See where you are after a month. Expecting instant results is what keeps people yo-yoing

Plain yogurt! Absolutely plain. I add fruit and cinnamon and honey or cereal or something.

Same here - but I'm barely 1/3 of the way through my weight loss so it's hard to say for certain what they'll do b/c I've been fat for my whole adult life. So far though, 30 lbs in and they're staying roughly the same size

Dangalang bro, looking good! Love the glasses.

Just to add in some real world experience, my mfp is set to lose 2 pounds a week. Usually I work out 5 times a week and eat back at least 50% or my exercise calories, and lose about 2 pounds a week. Last week I didn't work out at all so I stuck to the calories MFP gave me and I lost about 2 pounds. So, you know, eat your…

I'm in France, but I never set out to "eat like a French woman." Instead, since this is my first time living alone, I set out to cook most:all of my own meals and eat a nutritionally balanced diet. I do eat sort of Frenchily now- my food diary is public so you can check it out. The biggest change I made was cutting almost…

I've lost about 30 lbs but my roommate didn't really notice until she saw a before and after picture! Certain people comment on it but mostly the ones I see the most often, who always hear me talking about it or see me count calories and head to the gym every day. They may just be humoring me. I teach so I keep waiting for…

I looooooooooove sardines, I never ate them before I came here. I got a can as a "here, you need some food to get you started" gift on my arrival, which I opened dubiously but was soon consuming enthusiastically. I just like them out of the can on bread with a little butter, but I love all these recipes that have been…

I also have a tumblr, love it! Here's mine: http://the-parenthetical-girl.tumblr.com/

Love it. I felt the same way when I started, I've now been using the site and losing weight since November (I know I joined in September! Still though, 5 months and 30 pounds! I can't believe it!) Will def. send a friend request, especially since we have similar starting/goal weights!

that I haven't brushed my teeth yet today! yikes! (well, I just got up and I haven't eaten yet..

I'm doing the 200 squats challenge! My quads are killing me. May as well go for the sit ups too

Well, look. As far as the driving by to check on you thing goes, I would just tell him that he needs to realize that you're an adult and he can trust you, and he needs to respect your autonomy. As for the dietary issues, I think you've got a lot of good advice already.

IT'S NOT though, it's not normal. Or it shouldn't be. I mean jesus. Maybe my perspective is skewed because I hang out with fairly progressive well-balanced functioning adults
-
Real talk: that is crazy Like seriously that is something overprotective parents do, it shows an egregious lack of trust and desire to control. RED FLAG

I started running (more like jogging) when I weighed about 250 lbs. I don't do it anymore (I didn't wind up liking it) but I was able to do it without any serious problems. I did hurt my leg once but that was more poor form. You might get a lot of side stitches and terribly out of breath every time you up time or speed or…

That's a gorgeous dress and you look great in it! Excellent success!

Thanks you guys! It's a really good necklace - it's a glass locket so I can put anything I want in it to coordinate with my outfit!
-
You look amazing in it! I hope I'm lucky like you and don't wind up with too much loose skin. Look at that flat tummy! High fives.
-
This is exactly what I wanted it to be

http://simplyrecipes.com/recipes/potato_leek_soup/ (you guys I made this soup for dinner and it's so good. At the end I added some milk. I only used one leek and two potatoes and it has like 80 calories per serving. win!)

I always do if the diary is public. If one of my friends is super low I'll usually say something but I tend not to have friends that are eating less than 1100 on the regular. I like to leave a better comment than just, "well done!" so I wanna look for things like a good balanced diet with fruit and veg or low fat or…

I think that's an excellent plan! I'm with you

I'm from TX but I live in France so you can check out my international food diary if you want, haha. I'm always happy to have new friends (but I'm not very exotic)

I have a big ol' crush on myself. Yup. I said it.

I'm a real live 38C which is exciting since before I think I was actually closer to a 42C but buying 40Cs. Kind of like how some people refuse to buy the next pant size up? I'd like for my band size to get down to a 34/36. Don't really know what will happen with the cup size? I've always been on the smallish size, but I'm…

Ahh me too. The other day I mixed a little emmenthal into my pasta sauce and then I forgot to add it but I had already hit "done" for the day and I was like, "Well I know how many calories were in it and I didn't go over or anything so I guess it's fine." Same with ketchup and things like tat. But in general I log…
