My food logs are open. Feel free to add me as well.

My favorite crock pot meal is a pot roast. Put the roast in the crock, spread a small can of cranberry sauce on top then sprinkle a packet of onion soup mix on top. Cook all day on low. It is fork tender and it makes almost a chutney type sauce that is so good. You can add whatever veggies you want to it. I usually add…

Feel free to add me. I'm just getting back into things here but I know what you are dealing with. After my twins were born I lost 101 pounds and kept it off for over 5 years. After a bunch of surgeries to remove cancer I gained back a bunch so I'm ready to get it off again. You can do it. One choice at a time.

That does sound delicious. I need to try this soon. Thanks for sharing.

Ok my other post was my conservative side. What I really want is a tropical vacation, an eternity band and a Glock 17.

Welcome back. I have been on and off for a while too. After a recent cardiac scare I'm doing this as a gift to myself too. Add me as a friend if you like. I need to get things back in control too.

Feel free to throw nutrition questions at me. I'm currently doing a low fat diet with as few processed foods as I can. Thanks for the add.

Since I'm just getting back into this I want some new gym clothes and an iTunes card for some new workout music :)

I'm 43 and just getting back into the swing of exercising and eating right again. Feel free to add me.

I am also 5'2" and at one point I weighed over 225. I lost 100 pounds and kept it off for five years. I gained back about 50 after cancer surgeries and I'm working on taking that back off. You can do it! Set smaller goals. They are so much more attainable and motivating when you reach them. I do non food rewards every 10…

I go to Trader Joes and get freeze dried fruit. They are crunchy and I like the flavor. My kids think I'm weird though :)

I have a kind of unusual situation here. Both of my kids have been significantly under weight so I watch to make sure they are eating enough. They were premies (twins) and have had a hard time taking in enough food at times. We try to not make a big deal out of it but make meal times more fun and exciting so they will want…

Thanks for all the tips and suggestions. I'm more excited today about it. I spent some time online and found some good recipes. I'm making a broccoli soup tonight and tomorrow is beef chili. I bought a lot of things to help keep me interested and motivated. I'm going to try to make a breakfast casserole with turkey…

I just ordered some cookbooks off amazon. Thanks for all the tips :)

My husband's doctor insists that people are fat because of carbs. He also says that calories in vs calories burned is not key to weight management. Funny how I lost 101 pounds watching how many calories I ate, exercising, and eating carbs. We get fat from eating too many calories. Moderation is the key to…

I have recently found stuffed mushrooms in our produce section and I love them. I had four portabella spinach stuffed mushrooms for dinner tonight with some soup. That was filling.

How about a wine spritzer. I seltzer or club soda in mine. Not sure what a bar uses but it cuts the calories.

I think you have gotten a lot of good advice but I would say to be careful with pepper spray. I am an animal control officer and I have been sprayed with it before and you do have to worry about the wind direction changing. I would suggest you call the police department so they can go out and talk to the owners. Here it is…

I welcome new friends too. I have lost 22 pounds so far since January. I love MFP. I think the more support and encouragement the better!

It gives me comfort to know I'm not alone. I too have cankles. I actually was going to ask my doctor Friday how to get rid of them. Is there really no hope?

Some of mine are my own creations but I do like the Weight Watchers website. They have a message board called Recipe Review that have a lot of recipes people have actually tried. Some have nutrient information and some don't. It does give me lots of new ideas though.

I sometimes have things that don't seem like breakfast foods for breakfast. I have a hard time eating right away when I get up so sometimes I have a yogurt before I leave and then have fruit once I'm at work for a little while. Sometimes I just make a sandwich and eat it while I'm working. Depends on what I have on hand. I…

I consider the macro information a tool. If things aren't going the way I want them to it gives me something to work on. When I eat I try to make sure I'm getting the different food groups in for balance. Part of what we are entering are estimates anyway so it isn't going to be highly accurate. I have a background in…

I totally agree with this statement. I can be satisfied with what I ate more easily if I eat the real thing than if I ate the reduced fat/sugar stuff. This time around I do a lot less grazing and searching for volume food by being more satisfied by what I am eating.

I love all the responses. Thanks. We are thinking about taking our teenage twins (will be 16 by then) and having them be best man/maid of honor as we renew our vows so we need to look at those options too. We have tried cruises before but we tend to have more time on the beach and at the destinations than on the boat. We…

After my twins were born I lost 101 pounds dieting eating fat free/sugar free foods. I kept it off for a long time. Unfortunately it definitely has an impact on digestion and satisfaction to eat this way for long. I have been doing MFP since January and lost 21 pounds and I'm eating "regular food" I tend to eat reduced fat…

I just finished "Deeper Than The Dead" It is a book about a FBI profiler finding a murderer. Good book. I'm reading "The Last Presinct" by Patricia Cornwall right now. I love suspence/mysteries.

When my husband lost his job we ended up going to the food bank and while I appreciated everything we got it was a special bright point in my kids day to know we could make cookies or something fun. I say donate them and don't worry what they think. The people who get the food will love it.

I agree with her on the running socks and the body glide. When I used to run a lot I would get water blisters under my toes but with these two changes I stopped getting them. I'm just getting back into running and went right back to using them.

I'm trying to lose 55 pounds and have lost 16 so far. Feel free to add me as a friend. It is nice to do this with other people.
