The gym and treadmills and all such things are boring as all get out. I love walking on walking trails, through woods, over hills, next to streams. I would love to take a whole summer and walk the Appalachian Trail! Besides that other productive things like hauling wood, gardening ( hoeing, raking, weeding), doing squats…

My thoughts exactly. I hope justice is swiftly brought to the cowards who perpetrated this act . Sick and so sad that we live in a world where events like this are becoming more and more common.

I am loving all the great veggie ideas on here! Brussel sprouts are my current favorite. The way my husband cooks them is amazing! I also love asparagus ( in about a month, it should be sprouting up again in my back yard ! yay! ) from the garden tomatoes and cucumbers sprinkled with just a bit of crazy salt ( this…

You are giving your body so much more when you eat the " avocado, pb, and brown rice" Better yet eat half the avocado, peanuts instead of pb, and half the portion of brown rice. ;) 1 big mac ( 540 calories) , or half an avocado (153 calories ) , plus 60 roasted peanuts ( 166 calories) plus a half cup of brown rice ( 117…

We have been in the same school and church since I was 5 and he was 6. I didn't even know he existed beyond a face until 10th grade. We became good friends in 11th grade and at that point my parents let me know I could hang out with him over their DEAD BODIES. So.... a year later, right after I graduated, I jumped out of…

Aaaah me too. Plus, my DH cooks amazing but very fatty food that is so hard to resist! And let's not even talk about chocolate. LOL

I worry about upping my activity level, because then I will see those extra calories and want to eat them all. =)

Isn't it so much fun! I haven't done the airplane thing in quite some time. I will have to start doing that again. =)

It was for about 30 - 35 minutes, and I was dying afterwards. I know I burned some serious calories, I just don't know how many. = Squats with them on my back is a great idea =)

Lol no, neither of those count as exercise, at least not for me. =)

I also am always over on protein. I think as long as most of it is lean protein that there isn't a problem. Besides the amino acids in protein are essential to building muscle. =)

Playing listening games to get your child following your voice is a great ( and non in your face) way to begin helping your child learn to listen to you. i.e. You say "We are going to play a jumping game! " Make it sound exciting " Ok, every time mommy says JUMP we jump as high as possible." Ready.....JUMP" Hooray, you did…

A facebook buddy kept going on and on about the site, so I checked it out. I love it! Plus I am about to turn 30 ( Sigh) and I want to be at my pre pregnany weight when I hit that big milestone. ( The vast majority of the women in my family get really big and consequently have serious health issues after the age of 30. So,…

ScienceDaily (Mar. 26, 2002) — Women who have ever used the Pill face a slightly increased risk of developing breast cancer, according to one of the largest studies on oral contraceptive use, the 3rd European Breast Cancer Conference heard on Friday, March 22. The women’s risk rose by just over a quarter (26%) compared…

I agree! Birth control can increase your risk of breast cancer as well as heart problems, it also can cause weight gain. I have noticed that when I am consistent with taking vitamins that this really helps my mood. Also, reducing salt and drinking plenty of water helps with bloating. I do let myself indulge in dark…

I never get one. You shouldn't ever be forced by someone else or by a company to make any specific medical decision. The flu shot only covers a certain number of strains anyways, and they are just hoping that it covers the new seasons variations of the flu. So, in my opinion, it is pointless. I think the big push to get…

I love seeing all the mommies on here. I am here for the same reason. I have three children ( ages 7,4, and 25 months) We are done, and it is time to feel comfortable in my clothes again. I hate the mommy belly, and let's not even get started on the hips! =)
