  • For the vast majority of people, this all comes down to calories in vs calories out. Take in too many vs what is going out and you will gain weight. Take in fewer than what is going out and you will lose weight. The keys after the above is count everything through MFP or any other means possible (spreadsheets, etc.). You…
  • Absolutely you can lose weight on unhealthy food. The better question is should you. In the long run, you are better off with both healthy food and a healthy weight. I think you need both to have long term success. yolodiet.com
  • I have seen some of this in my abdomen region. My stomach was out of proportion to the rest of my body before I started the diet, so more of a stretch issue in this area. Hoping the skin in this area continues to recede over the next several months, but it is an issue now. Yolodiet.com
  • I think this is simply the delta between your caloric intake and what your body needs every day. If you stay below the goal at a pace of around 1 pound per week it works. No offense to the nutritionist, but I believe in keeping it simple where possible. Good luck yolodiet.com
  • I think a slow and steady approach combined with dedication and knowledge are the key. MFP offers great knowledge tools, it's up to us to be dedicated. yolodiet.com
  • I have been targeting 1 pound a week. I believe this range is achievable and also offers good health benefits. yolodiet.com
  • That's a great tool. I also recently bought a small scale ( <$10) and been using that to weigh things. After a while you get a good fill for it and your estimate is close enough. Yolodiet.com

  • Cheerios are one of my favorites. I also like Jack Links beef jerky. The beef jerky is tough enough that it takes effort to eat, which sometimes satisfies the snacking desire. Yolodiet.com
  • It's all about taking in fewer calories than you burn. The best way to do this is have the knowledge of the calories in your food and then keep track of them religiously. MFP is a great tool that provides the information to make good diet decisions. Yolodiet.com
  • I use to have type 2 diabetes and was on meds. Before I got off meds, my low calorie approach would sometimes cause a low sugar situation. One of the ways I noticed this was some shaks in my hands and a general weak feeling. Low sugar is a dangerous condition and should be checked. When I had this condition the only short…

  • My approach on cheat days has been to drive to be well below my targets during the week, so by the weekend I had extra calories available on a weekly basis. Thus, I got to cheat a little on the weekend, but was still below my weekly total. Yolodiet.com
  • I think most folks have certain things they really like to eat. For me it was cheese, peanut brittle, blueberry pie, fried foods and peanuts. I took the approach of eating some of those items within my calorie limit. This helped motivate me some during the day to eat right and save those calories for my favorite things…
  • I wrote a blog entry about this recently. I think you can eat whatever you want within the calorie limit on a single day. There are nutritional downsides to this on a long term basis and especially for those with conditions like type 2 diabetes. Yolodiet.com
  • I lost my largest weight in a month during that first month....~15 lbs. Those are the easy pounds. YOLOdiet.com
