I agree - I would rather focus on the positive. (PS - I had a "best friend" like yours and finally realized that she made me feel like crap so we haven't talked in years and I have lots of new and much nicer friends now!)

For shaynak112 - Interesting music! Like!

I think it's awesome that NY is doing that! However, it doesn't affect me. Now when Portland's Mayor decided to ban plastic shopping bags . . that was another story!

Boring reason: Because you've lost 75 # and it would be an inspiration to me! Other reason: Curious about the hint of a tattoo on left arm! Pray tell!

What about shoes? Obviously a female answer to a female question! However, I did just buy a pair of kick-you-know-what animal print heels. They make me feel confident! That's the operative word, I guess. :)

Craisins, Sahale pistachios with pomegranates (Costco) and raw nuts (almonds, walnuts, etc.). Yum! Oh, and bananas! They are filling and so sweet and healthy!

Great topic! Hard question to answer, but tops that come to mind are: KISS back in the day . . (late '70's) Paul Simon with African ensemble - rocked the house! Tom Petty (seen him twice) Heart (back in the day) Bee Gees (were phenomenal - also back in the day) Police The Cars I'm dating myself, I guess. Really, some of…

COOL lookin' cat! Let me know if you breed this one and live along the West Coast! I'm planning to get a cat for my next b-day.

Holy cow, you've lost over 100 lbs! Hats off to you, girl!

Raw oysters get to STAY in your MFP diet! They are awesome! Yummy and they have side benefits. ;)

I vote for a silver dollar (coin).

You look friendly, approachable and must be smart (Notre Dame).

Great topic and fun to read about the memories. For me it was about the music, being free, somewhat rebellious. Went to Europe for the first time in 1980 and had an AMAZING time at the discos! Can't remember the songs. . . Back in the USA I enjoyed The Cars and The Police. Duran Duran was great, too. I didn't spike the…

Good question! I know that I have to kick them inside my closet in order to get the doors shut. I'm guessing I have around 20-30 pair. Latest, and one of my faves, is a pair of black leather tall boots with 4" heels and cool rhinestone decorations (just one round one on each side). I'm so glad to have lost 30 plus # on MFP…

@ Sophia 19 - Wow, how scary. I could see how you would still have nightmares about that experience. Glad you and your mum are okay!

Yes, but I don't remember it. My mom invited a friend and her little girl over to our house right after mom and I came home from the hospital (I was a newborn). They wanted to pay my mom a visit, see the baby (me) and bring a gift. The woman's little girl went down into my room while the moms were chatting. The bratty…

7th grade on the playground. Went out with the guy later on during my senior year in college! He was such a flirt . . . Oh, my.

I totally love photography. Was raised in the industry, but am an amateur. Have sold a few pieces to friends, co-workers. Samples are on my Facebook, so let me know if you would like to connect.

I have to give MFP major kudos for making me feel better about myself. So 'YES".

A calorie is a calorie. My 2 cents is to mix it up so that you body gets a variety of fruits, veggies and protein. Fat is embedded in the above, inevitably. Use spices and salsa, herbs, etc. to jazz up your food so that it tastes great - to you!

My husband is making dinner, and asked me to "Look up the recipe for Sweet & Sour Cabbage".

The yolk is the tastiest part, so I eat it! However, I don't have a cholesterol problem. Double however, I do use egg substitute and alternate using it and/or mix it with a whole egg now and then to save overall calories.

I me Ray Bradbury once in Los Angeles following one of his plays. (I didn't really know who he was at the time or how famous!) I have met a few US Ambassadors as part of my work. The most famous one was Pamela Harriman. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pamela_Harriman

Sounds pretty good, but with or without meat? I'll say 6. I had oysters on the half shell, crackers with whitefish spread, and some french fries!

Kettle Chips (NY Cheddar) with homemade clam dip. Yum!

Ditto to the Salsa comment. When I wanted to lose weight I used to make a baked potato and top it with a little cheese, non-fat yogurt, salsa and green onions. Funny, I was just thinking that I hadn't made one of those in a long time. Need to get going on that!
