  • Just past 500 days on MFP and still logging everyday. Got another 20 to go.
  • It fails me.... I think it has something to do with the fact that women were born to stretch and carry babies so to an extent we are a little more stretchy?!? not sure [/quote] I got the pouch too. I think women usually lose weight slower than men and they are into all those creams and lotion things.
  • Thank you! It's not easy but it has taken my commitment to log my food and weight every day, and to do some sort of exercise every day. I have had to focus on changing my lifestyle more than going on a diet. MFP was the missing tool that made it easy to actually do it. The community of people that have the same struggle…
  • Started at 450 - here in this photo 245 and currently at 235 I am part of the Over 200#'s Lost club.
  • Best to pick up a good heartrate monitor so you can see what your kcal burn when you exercise. Make sure you check the topic threads on which ones to get. I have been using a polar ft60 for over a year and only changed batteries once. Still works like a champ. I like to use the elliptical and also do interval training to…
  • Yes that's me. At less than 1700 kcals I am cannot seem to enjoy food. I put in about an hour every day so I can enjoy my meals and not feel so deprived. There is a big difference between 2500 and 1700 as far as feeling satisfied.
  • I am part of the 200# club.
  • Thank you all! I really appreciate to well wishes. Eat Less, Move More.
  • Start 450 - Today 244
  • Best way is to log it and make better choices going foward.
  • QUOTE: Please excuse me if this is rude, but I find this question pretty damn stupid and a bit offensive. There are people that have actual eating disorders and feel completely out of control in terms of their consumption of food. Eating a lot of cookies is one thing. Like the Lays ad says, there are some foods where you…
  • QUOTE: QUOTE: QUOTE: What did you eat? A pound of muscle weighs more than a pound of fat. Why would anyone eat a pound of muscle? I eat muscle all the time. What do you think steak is made from? Lips and *kitten*? Steak is made from delicious. Edited by AngryDiet on Thu 11/15/12 01:32 PM No no, Steak is made from Cow. Cow…

  • Big boned, small boned, x-small, medium, XL. 175#, 225#, all really don't mean much to be healthy. The thing that I am focusing on is body composition (%body fat).
  • What really worked for me is just start by "logging everything" even when I was way over was my only goal. Everything else just seemed too daunting at the start. I slowly started to hit my kcal daily goals and started to see just where I was going wrong with my choices. With the iphone/android app it really is easy to scan…

  • Awesome!! Great job sticking to it. It's a big accomplishment.
  • New NSV for me, just ran a 5k trail race last Saturday. My time was 45:20 for a first ever 5k. Trails were pretty tough, lots of up and downhills and rooted and rock strewn trails. I was very happy with being able to jog all but one of the steep uphills. I started about a year ago with trying to eat better and joined MFP…

  • Most of the equipment that can handle our girth is pro stuff. Best suggestion is probable get gym membership. It would be much cheaper then any piece of equipment that can handle the #s. There are always ondemand work out videos or videos on netflix. Sweat is those calories escaping our bodies.
  • Just stopped into Casual Male at lunch time today and got two 2xlt polo shirts(1/2 off) and they fit. I got lots of old 4xlt that are getting almost too big to wear anymore. :) Going to have to go thru the closet and see whats at the back that I have ignored that will fit again.

  • Eating back you kcals is great for the under 50lbs to go crowd, but if you are like me needing to loose 175lbs every calorie burned up is a step closer and faster. That said, i eat at slightly under my daily goal and only eat exercise if i am really hungry and normally only half of my exercise kcals.
  • FT40. Love it.
  • I chug a 24oz with my pills before i leave the house. Usually get 16oz thru-out the work day. After work workout drink 32oz during time in gym. Sometimes drink a little more on the way home. Been getting between 9-13 glasses. Now I am just a pound or 2 over four bills, so I need the water.
  • Naked after the three S's everyday. Record twice a week after a low sodium day.
