I've sprained my knee several times. Start slow and work your way up. When I run, I use KT tape and a knee brace. I've worked my way up to running 3-4 miles without stopping to walk now. The Galloway Meathod works really well. I use run/walk meathod. By doing this I've completed numerous 5 and 10k's, 10 half marathons, and…

Hi fellow runner! I've sprained my knee several times, and I've completed 1 full marathon, 10 half marathons, several 10k's, 5k's and other distances! What helps me is cross training. Swimming and biking. I lift weights too. Now for my knees. I will tape my knee up with KT tape for 10ks and greater. I also wear a knee…

I'm on the challenge now. Being a runner I eat lots, so this has helped me with portion size and different ideas for healthier snacks. I've lost about 8 inches total so far and about 5-6 pounds. Yes I want to continue to help me with my running. I feel like I get full quicker, but the supplements in the cleanse suck! I…

Hi and welcome! If you're looking to loose around 10 pounds, hit up some cardio at the gym, or devote one or two days on cardio. It's a great way too loose weight. Do you know how many calories you are eating now? If so, try to do 500 less. That's 3,500 a week which equals 1 pound. I'm on an 1,800 cal diet and I try to log…

I was in the same boat as you. Just keep at it! I started doing .10 mile and quitting. I've done two halfs so far! Just go for 1/4 of a mile than walk 3/4. Use the treadmill and walk on an incline. Once you got 1/4 mile down go to a half. If you have to, alternate laps between walking and running. Also what helps me is…

Hi David from Texas! What part are you from? I used to be obsessed with diet coke...this is what I do. Get a big jug at wal mart that holds 50-60oz of water. Drink that the whole day. I do and it keeps me hydrated, plus it's good for your kidneys!!

I got my fitness covered with my running and strength training, but could use some extra support to keep me motivated through the remainder of the year, especially when times get hard/rough. Food is the hardest part for me! If I can just master that, I hope I'll be in better shape for my first Marathon.

Welcome to MFP! The support on here is awesome and it helps! Added y'all!

Hi and welcome!! I can't ever keep a diet so I make up my own...ie: no bread for a month or pasta once a week. The first few weeks are the hardest I think, but it's for the good! Little sacrifices for long term results are worth it! Feel free to add! Meghan
