i'm doing the hot to trot 10k on thanksgiving day this year! woohoo!

I do cardio abs first after a friend recommended that i do it in that order...that way i can still actually do the abs....lol. i think if i did them after pure cardio, i would not be able to do the abs at all

I started the year off with P90X lean. Now I am in month 2 of Insanity. I am definitely doing a hybrid next...I MISS the strength workouts!

I pick up where I left off too. Although if it was cardio recovery, then i just move on :) if i didn't work out, that was enough recovery :)

I have 3 kids as well. But my schedule goes like this: I wake up at 5a.m. and go to work (1 hour commute). I get back in town at 4:30 p.m. Pick up kids and get home by 5:00 pm. I get their food ready and then pop in my dvd. I WORK OUT WHILE THEY EAT SUPPER. The rooms are open to each other so we still have somewhat of a…

No illusions there! That' s a big difference! I am right there with you on being discouraged by not much weight loss. But this is pretty encouraging! keep up the good work!

this actually makes me feel a bit better. i haven't lost anything (i'm on day 12) and was getting pissed. i did measure myself today and i haven't gone down in inches either....but my cardio conditioning has also improved and i at least feel tighter. patiently waiting for a big chunk loss to show up on the scales :) in the…

i use homeaway.com to book my trips and they have tons of cabins listed on there. i would definitely do a cabin instead of a hotel. the hotels are pretty much all worn down and gross, except for maybe the hilton in gatlinburg. Dollywood/Splash Country has tons of activities for the kids. Ober Gatlinburg is a much cheaper…

protein bars are like candy bars to me....so it feels like you're cheating, but it's not so bad :) pure protein revolution chocolate caramel or nature valley dark chocolate, almond, peanut bars are my favorites and reasonably priced (nature valley bars are around $0.50 each but they can be less when paired with a coupon).…

drink your shake girl! i drink them as a snack, post-workout, whenever i feel like it! great way to get in that protein :)
-
it wasn't bad...but yeah, i had to stand up on the holds too....lol. pure cardio tonight scares me :) but i can't wait to see what i burn!
-
I use them for snacks and they are great post-workout - helps keep you from being sore the next day! If you are going to use them as a meal replacement, then i would add other ingredients to increase the calories. (bananas, berries, yogurt, cottage cheese, peanut butter..whatever you like!) if you go to this website, they…

Okay...so I did my workout 2 hours after i ate and i still almost puked! and i didn't feel i was even close to keeping up, but i guess i was pushing hard for my body. but this program is exactly what i need to get my booty in shape and i'm loving it! dizzy and puking or not....lol. 368 calories burned.

I use Body Fortress whey protein powder which I mix with water/ice to make shakes. As far as I could tell from the list of ingredients, they are all plant based products and thus are halal. Body Fortress also makes protein shots that come in a large test tube looking vial. They give you 26g protein, 1g carb, 0g fat and 120…

It wasn't pretty, but I did finish it! And going on little sleep, i had been sooo tired. i pushed through and felt energized afterward! I am excited because i can tell this is going to get REAL results!

Thanks Nick! I will take my temp to see what is going on there. And at first, I thought you were telling me to eat less than 50g EVERY day.....no way I could do that. But I can probably do it 1-2 days a week with lots of planning :) That has been one of my struggles as well - increasing protein and decreasing carbs. I have…

Wow - that topic is confusing! I am going to have to read it a few more times to make sure. I did calculate my BMR to be 1499 and my body fat at 40.9%. Goal weight = 153 lb at 25% body fat. I am still a little confused on TDEE. I have a desk job but i work out 6 days/week. So i don't know if it should be 1759 or 2529. I do…
