  • I want my ribs to not feel constantly bruised anymore, it's like "I love you kid, I really do, but keep the partying down or get out"
  • Hi everyone! My name is Ashley, im 30years old and I'm a first time mom. Baby is due June 19th and I cannot wait to me him or her.
  • HI Lucy and Newmomma! I'm Ashley, I'm 30years old and this is mine and hubby's first babe. I'm currently 33 weeks and up 37lbs. I see a trainer every 6-8 weeks and she gives me a new weight training routine. I go to the gym 4x a week (cardio and weights) and then usually try to go for a walk or do something big around the…
  • We don't know what we're having so we went relatively neutral. It's not finished yet but here are some things we've picked out. I made the deer head out of paper mache and the pillow case was just an IKEA cushion case I stencilled, it will be going on the sofa bed that's going in the nursey (sofa bed is grey) The crib is…
  • I'm about to have a baby in June. I'm sure I'll lose 20lbs that month. Other than that nope.
  • ^I always forget about this too. I'm in Canada and the only thing we will need to pay out of pocket is a circumcision if it's a boy which is 450$
  • Great advice from the above posters. I started taking folic acid as soon as I went off birth control as it's really not expensive (I think my bottle of 90 pills was about 4$) and it got me in the habit of taking it daily. I read everything I could get my hands on which is just part of my personality, I like to know what to…
  • Look up videos on Youtube The book New Rules of Lifting for Women is quite good Book an appointment with a trainer to show you proper form. I book "weight training" sessions with a trainer every 8 weeks or so where she gives me a new routine, shows me proper form for the exercise and i get a sheet with all the exercises,…
  • Yay! Congrats! I'm really hoping strength training helps me keep the muscle I worked so hard to build before pregnancy.
  • usually something like; "You've done it before, you can do it again" "It's only 45min out of the day"
  • Yup, doctor is totally on board, I've been very lucky to have a low risk pregnancy. Trainer is certified in PreNatal fitness and has been very good with knowing what my limits are. I'm hoping it helps with labour and recovery (they say it does, but you never really know)
  • Thank you :) BTW, the angle of that picture makes my head look tiny lol
  • You all are way better behaved than I was as a young 20something! I'm no hussy, but I kissed (nothing more than good ole passionate in the moment kissing) one or two fellas I danced with at bars. It's thrilling and nerve-racking and exciting and scary all at the same time. I'm happy to now kiss the same man for the rest of…
  • I would say definitely work on getting your eating back on track and getting exercise in but don't worry as much about sticking to a certain number of lbs per month. I have been eating pretty healthy (with the exception of a muffin here or a valentines chocolate there) but when I'm tracking i'm RARELY over the 2000 calls a…
  • Starting weight : 165 (height 5'7") 5w : 165 (0) 6w : 165 (0) 7w: 166 (+1) 8w: 166 (+1) 9w: 167 (+2) 10w: 169 (+4) 12w: 171 (+6) 13w: 171 (+6) 16w: 176 (+11) 19w: 179 (+14) 21w: 182 (+17) Still going to the gym 4x a week and eating healthy so I'm not going to worry about it too much.
  • Even if you gained 2 lbs every week (which i'm sure you won't) you'd put on 14lbs. You've gained roughly 23 already, so that would put your total weight gain for the whole pregnancy at 37lbs. So, even if that worst case scenario happened, you've only gained 2-7lbs more than the recommended weight gain. Baby is growing so…
  • I was rocking the belly bands up until this past week, I finally got some maternity jeans and some dress pants for work, i'm 19weeks.
  • You'll have NO problem staying under 200! Great job, you're almost there!!!!!
  • Starting weight : 165 (height 5'7") 5w : 165 (0) 6w : 165 (0) 7w: 166 (+1) 8w: 166 (+1) 9w: 167 (+2) 10w: 169 (+4) 12w: 171 (+6) 13w: 171 (+6) 16w: 176 (+11) 19w: 179 (+14) Had my ultrasound last week, baby was measuring a week smaller so my due date got pushed forward (I changed my weeks above to reflect how far along I…
  • My personal trainer is certified in prenatal fitness and has me doing modified crunches on an exercise ball so i'm not actually lying down on my back
  • I"m now trying to wear my husband down and get him to cave to the idea of Scout (To Kill a Mockingbird) as a middle name if it's a girl, so it would be Olive Scout K. I think it's so damn adorable and quirky but not TOO out there. He's with me on Olive, but so far not so much on Scout lol
  • Starting weight : 165 (height 5'7") 6w : 165 (0) 7w : 165 (0) 8w: 166 (+1) 9w: 166 (+1) 10w: 167 (+2) 11w: 169 (+4) 13w: 171 (+6) 14w: 171 (+6) 17w: 176 (+11) Had my check up today, FINALLY heard the heartbeat (now I can breathe), dr. said I look great and he's really happy with everything
  • We're SUPER similar! I am 5'7" and started at 165 (healthy BF%, which i think is a better guage than stupid BMI anyways  ) I'm 17weeks and 175-176
  • I don't know how they are doing it either, I'm 17 weeks tomorrow and right now i'm up 12lbs, pre pregnancy I was 165 with healthy BF%
  • I'm 14wks with my first and my trainer only modified a few things in my workout. I'm lifting 3x a week and cardio I'm doing the elliptical and walking on the treadmill (either fast or on an incline). I was running up until about 8 weeks but I was never a RUNNER runner, I only did it for cardio a few times a week, so I…
  • Ha ha, yeah we've been together 7 years and now have a kid on the way, so I think it's a bit late to start putting my foot down lol
  • We aren't finding out the gender but the name we have picked if it's a girl is Olive Jean! Great minds think alike! ha ha I love the name Fox, we originally wanted Jude Fox for a boy, since our last name starts with K so his initials would be JFK (my husband's idol) and Jack Kerouac is my idol so it would still work with…
