Giving up fast food is one of the major reasons I lost my weight...
-
Rice and tuna every day for the last two months for me. 2 pound brown rice $2.20 lasts two weeks. Large can of springwater tuna costs $4.80 and I require 3 per week. Weekly total food comes to $15.50. That's my basic food staple. I buy fruit as well as green tea bags and fruit juice, but my core is the brown rice and tuna.

Ohhh I suddenly feel a whole lot better about my three week two pound plateau!! BTW this two pound for me is the final resistance my body is putting up and I'm not going to let it conquer me, I will conquer it!! I'm not cheating, I'm not taking diet drugs, I've given up all coffee, alcohol, butters and spreads, I train…

Hey there! The heading of my topic is "Stubborn last 2 pounds - anyone else have similar experience" and it sounds as though we have a similar problem. Historically I've always had what I call a fast metabolism which kept me permanently weighing 170 pounds / 77 kg for much of my adult life, but then I put on a little…

Anyone had trouble losing the last two pounds? I don't accept that my body will go through phases and swings, and that I should be happy to remain two pounds off being cut and ripped.

I injured my lower back 8 years ago, but not as badly as yours be the sounds. It took me two years of refraining from exercise before I felt ready to return to lifting weights. It was a heavy lift in the gym that did my back in to begin with. I can now lift heavier weights than ever. Keep using your back to do what it is…

Daily first thing I do after putting my feet on the floor. My scales are next to the bed.

I'm stuck on a plateau as well. After dramatic losses I have come to a standstill whilst maintaining good control over my caloric intake and maintaining my physical routine. My plateau is three weeks long now. Maybe we shouldn't worry too much and not be deterred by this temporary standstill. Let's not give up hope!!

I gave up smoking 7 years ago, and I'll try to recall what I did at the time, mmmm. I recall water helped me a lot when I craved a cigarette. Beware foods or drinks linked to smoking, like Coffee which only exacerbates the problem, that's why I the water helped me.

I loved coffee but I loved losing fat more so the coffee has gone and so has the fat.

I second the lunges recommendations, one benefit is they stretch your butt and back leg muscles unlike squats.

Well done...

In my opinion keep your muscles toned no matter your age. Muscle which is exercised has tone. And tone is attractive because it shows that a person, regardless of their sex, is active. And I guess active people are in general more attractive than inactive people. Created by MyFitnessPal.com - Free Weight Loss Tools

I have water for my breakfast. Up to 32 oz / 1 litre. I can feel the water hydrating my body. It feels great. I'll postpone food intake until the water has hydrated me fully.

I started losing weight when I began using MFP, which co-incided with my goals and plans any way, so in a way it was a convergence of significant events and not just me beginning to use MFP. A history of 2011. Briefly I had tried fasting, and I had various rules governing my fast but in summary it was painful, and I lacked…

Hi. Well done. I'm new on MFP. I started on November 27th ish or thereabouts and my highest weight was about 104 - 105 kg / 230 pounds. I passed my weight loss goal of 95 kg / 209 pounds in the first two weeks an now my goal is 90 kg / 198 pounds. Today I weigh 92 kg / 202 pounds. I am not sure where my weight will stop…

I have lost 2 pounds over christmas.

I gave up coffee even though I love it. I was a 3 caffe latte a day consumer. But I just decided I don't need coffee. I drink green tea now, and water that's all nothing else. No carbonated drinks nothing. 7 days ago I felt or rather my body was asking for a calcium hit, so I bought some yoghurt. I spent 20 minutes…

Hi. I'd like to support you and say that anything is doable. Including 40lb in 21 weeks. In the last 4 weeks when I started MFP I have lost 12kg / 26.5 lb. I don't think that is extreme weight loss. I've just made some changes to my food consumption and the weight is dropping off like that. I'm not in starvation mode, I'm…
