Hello! I'm vegan and also live in a not very vegan friendly area so I understand the struggle! I'm also looking for vegan friends so feel free to add me.

Sodium intake isn't a big concern for most people, unless you have blood pressure issues. In fact, the new dietary guidelines for 2015 will be changing to reflect that the scientific community doesn't agree with the current recommendations.…

I've recently been making this recipe: http://ohsheglows.com/2014/09/09/raspberry-chia-seed-jam-oat-crumble-squares-vegan-gluten-free/ I cut the coconut oil down to 1/4 cup and get 9 squares total at the end. It is about 300 calories per square. Just bake on the weekend and you have breakfast for the rest of the week!

How does it teach healthy eating if you are required to restrict certain foods and limit when and what you can eat? You said earlier that you follow it for a certain number of weeks and it is then recommended to take a 6 month break! That's not a healthy or sustainable diet.

It's a fad diet that dictates what you can eat or when. Most people who do these go back to their regular eating habits at some point and gain all of their weight back or more.

I started on the 1st so I'm pretty new at this, too. Rest day tomorrow for me (I'm really going to need it)! Although its been pretty difficult, I'm really enjoying the program. Good luck everyone!

Hi there! I started Insanity on Feb 1st as well. I did Pure Cardio today and it was killer, hoping to have a better workout tomorrow. Keep up the good work!

I just tried this one today and it was delicious! http://ohsheglows.com/2012/11/22/back-on-track-green-monster-banana-free/ She has other green smoothies on her blog too but I haven't tried them.

I agree! I only went back a few days in your diary and the only veggie I was saw potato. If you don't like veggies than just gradually add them in. Like adding broccoli to the potatoes for lunch or having a side of fruit with breakfast.

My favorite is a piece of whole grain toast with almond butter and either fresh fruit or low sugar jam. Quick, tasty, and filling!

This was my first thought, too.

I have been using the 5k101 podcast but it is also an iphone app where you can listen to your own music. I tried c25k a few times before but was never able to get past week 3. I am currently on week 6 and will soon move on to week 7. Good luck with what ever you choose! ETA: 5k101 is by Running Mate and it's free

I have a Polar FT4 and I love it!

I never got past week 3 with c25k so I tried a new program called 5k101. I am currently on week 5 and going strong!

All I know is, I moved out of Colorado and gained 30 lbs, lol.

I log it as high impact aerobics and mfp is usually pretty close to what my HRM reads.
