Hi Pam! My advice is to create a diet plan for yourself that isn't too strict. Leave some breathing space for yourself because there will definitely be times when you need that little bit of leeway. Like ice cream? Include it in your diet! There's no reason why you shouldn't be able to eat the foods that you love so long…

I haven't been posting here, but I have been continuing with practice! I got 12 seconds a few days ago, but it only happened once, so I almost feel like it was a fluke. Still, it's really nice to see any gains!

I managed to kick up without a wall and balance for 7 seconds! Who knew, daily practice actually does help XD
-
I got 10 seconds today for the first time ever!! The progress came after I recorded myself trying to balance against a wall and seeing just how out of line I was.
-
A little late to the party, but I'd love to join this challenge! I've been practicing for the last couple of weeks, and I'm starting to find a little balance now, just a few seconds. I want that handstand so bad!

@guitargirl55 I treat the weekends same as the weekdays, the diet is still on! I eat out a lot in general, so what I do is try to overestimate the calories in the meals eaten at restaurants. Usually I eat only until I feel no more hunger rather than until I’m ready for a food coma, so that way I use the amount of hunger I…

Hello everyone! My name's Jen, and I'm 29. This isn't my first time trying to lose fat, but it will be my first time trying to do it while eating out for every single meal of the day. I'll be backpacking through Southeast Asia for some months, so meal prep won't be possible. I think I'm going to need quite a bit of support…

Does veggie include dairy and/or eggs to you? There's a breakfast that I really love that's super easy and scalable to whatever amount desired. Refrigerator oatmeal! In individual jars or tupperware, add the following: -1/4 cup rolled oats -1/4 cup greek yogurt -1/4 cup milk -1 tbsp chia seeds -1-2 tbsp dried fruit Mix…

I've done insanity in the past, and it helped me a lot! I'm doing it again intermittently now. It's really fantastic, though I do feel a little silly with some of the exercises.

Yay! Glad to have some company <3

Me too, me too! :D

Roasted japanese sweet potato + black beans + parmesan cheese + sunnyside up egg on top = yum! Pair it with: Arugula + extra virgin olive oil + lemon juice + salt/pepper

@CantonRC and @Tam4714, yes you may both join. I'll send out friend and group invitations shortly. This challenge is now closed to further participants!

I use the Accumeasure skinfold caliper. Super easy to use, and only $10 on amazon. https://www.amazon.com/AccuMeasure-MyoTape-AM-3000-Fitness-Personal/dp/B002VAPHXW/ref=sr_1_1_a_it?ie=UTF8&qid=1488245585&sr=8-1&keywords=accumeasure

Chocolate whey protein covered nuts! Melt some dark chocolate in a bowl, mix chocolate protein powder with it. Throw in some nuts and toss to coat. Set the nuts in a single layer not touching each other on a plate and refrigerate until the chocolate sets.

Interesting. The text must have gotten garbled somehow. It's supposed to be "pumpkin puree" No, I've not tried making it vegan- mostly because I'm trying to increase my protein intake. To make it dairy and egg free... try this: replace the whey protein powder with spirutein (the only really yummy tasting vegan protein…

What is the answer to life, the universe, and everything?

I added 4 scoops vanilla whey protein powder to BUMP the protein content. Delicious little things. Thanks for sharing the recipe!

When I first start dieting/exercising, the first two months my weight didn't change at all, but I lost 6 inches in that time and my body fat percentage dropped by 4%. In other words, I was replacing fat with muscle, which is why the number on the scale didn't change. You could be experiencing the same thing. About your…

Was vegan for 2 years, now vegetarian because my life is significantly better with cheese in it. Quite willing and able to give support/food tips to a newbie vegan :)
-
when my body becomes nice enough, yeah I'd consider it. actually I'd consider it now. there's no reason not to show off your body and get some money while doing so if you are comfortable with it. go for it!

I've never seen coconut flour at a regular grocery store. I got it at a specialty/organic food store.
-
@bazfitness: Besides the buckwheat and coconut flour, what ingredients can't you find easily? These two can be substituted with regular flour if you want. As for hazelnut meal, I buy whole hazelnuts and put them through a blender or food processor. @naomi: I assume you mean some sort of diet when you say "primal." I'm on…

I agree with this. I was vegan for about 2 years, then stopped not because of health issues but because I missed cheese. There's no reason not to be vegan if you go about it in a healthy way (i.e. don't let your entire diet consist of nothing but pasta). Take a multi-vitamin if you are worried you aren't getting all the…
