  • I agree with the above, forget the scale. I honestly touch that thing once a month or two and it never goes anywhere. Remember that progress takes time, after 3 months, I hardly went down two inches total. Most importantly, DO NOT get discouraged if things fit a bit tighter. I can't wear my pants from 3 months ago, but…
  • Thanks all, I will try and do a walk and see how that goes, maybe up it to a run :)
  • I'm doing NROLFW, been at it since late November. Scale hasn't moved but my shape sure has. I was discouraged reading forums about my lack of weight loss or even BF% not going down. In the end, everyone is different and bodies will react differently. You need more time. Adding to that, I did the 30DS before the lifting…
  • @sarahbri923 It is really refreshing to see that 175 can look super fabulous. It does go to show it is just a number and not a size. I rarely post on discussions like this one but you have opened my eyes quite a bit.
  • How much shoes really do make a difference -I have a love/hate relationship with running, my friend is the only person that motivates me to go on a weekly run
  • Thanks. I think next break I'll try the deload. The book just recommends a strict break (what I remember. I read the book last year but just started the program again). I'll definitely start the weighing, I do have a scale and never thought it would make that much of a difference. It will be interesting to see how far I am…
  • Done as of yesterday (all translated to lbs): Workout A 1 arm db snatch: 23-31 (I had rotator cuff issues early on that got me a bit scared of this one) db one leg rdl: 40-60 bar bent over row: 74-87 db one arm overhead squat: 15-18 (the heavy weight, still awkward but I think I had it figured with a lower weight to keep…
  • Thanks. I mix up reps and sets a lot, I think it said 2-3 sets, so that was my question that you answered still :)
  • Stage 4, how many reps did anyone (who answers) do?
  • Check our forums and things like Pintrest. Lots of ideas on grocery lists and what you can do in a few hours. I like to do freezer meals in ziplocks for the crockpot. I spent a few hours cutting up some veggies and meats put them into different bags with some broths and made things like soups, stews, stirfrys and plenty…
  • I eat cottage cheese for breakfast, it helps. I just finished making some meal plans to reduce carbs/increase protein and most things came to adding more meat (I get bored of it quickly). I'm also trying to add more eggs where I can and greek yogurt (the plain, unsweetened can be added to many things as a cream…
  • Almost half way, mus say.. I don't hate any of these exercises really. Even the BWM isn't terrible.
  • Barbell jeans is a pretty neat concept, Im checking them out now. And love the the relentless look to be on an average person and not model. Thanks for those suggestions.
  • Day 2 is usually the worst (for me). Take a day off, maybe some yoga or stretching as suggested, or low impact like a casual swim or bike? Don't over do it, you will hate how you feel and quit.
  • I've been doing the skirts and dress thing in summer, our winters are almost a little too harsh at times. I like getting the different brand ideas because some brands I would never think of trying or going into the store (liie American Eagle, thanks @Inrussell195), but if they fit, that is all I'm looking for.
  • Good luck. Tonight was going to be 3A, but a cold has me knocked down. Maybe after tomorrow's run? This is the first break I have taken between.
  • I should be doing 3 tonight. I looked at my previous, seems I only did about half before quitting.
  • Will I see you in Stage 3 posts now @kimiuzzell ?
  • There is my previous! Now for this time: I put a + or minus in front as a gain or loss from previous Stage 2. Seems I did great in A, not so much in B. +FSPP: 33lbs -48 lbs (incl bar) +Step-up: barbell with 142lbs total - 159 lbs total +One-point Rows: 40lbs - 54 lbs +Static Squat: 105lbs - 114 lbs (barbell bar incl)…
  • I took a little break with holidays, moving on to stage 3 tomorrow. I still want to see my gains and losses. Hopefully this week.
  • Finished and couldn't be happier! I'm excited to move on. Maybe I'll post tomorrow on my gains.. I'll see also of I can find my previous post when I did stage 2 and compare.
  • Thanks all! I like the opinions of the high waisted jeans too, helps me think I'm not crazy in thinking they look bad, or would on me at least.
  • I'm listening to ya kimiuzzell. I have one more 2b left and I am done! I can't wait to finish this stage. I did NROLFW 2 years ago (but quite through stage 3). I am now comparing my before and after lifts, some gains, some not. I agree with you I love love love the BSS! I never thought I would like something in the form of…
  • The app/website Jefit has loads of exercises and some workout routines.
  • Last time I did stage 1 I gained about 2 lbs. Hard to judge because 2lbs is my fluctuation. This time I weigh more and lost 4 lbs. Both times I lost inches, this time with more weight loss seen less inches lost. Stage 1 is a weird one to judge what will happen in the program. Keep at it though!
  • Thanks for the responses again. I'm out in Calgary so it isn't so much the cold but our chinooks that come in melt the snow and make every sidewalk a skating rink. It has been quite mild here so far though.
  • I am repeating after a 2 years break. I stopped a few years back because my body was changing too much and my wedding dress wasn't fitting in certain areas. Then I tried again earlier this year from home but stopped advancing from lack of equipment and got bored. Now I am back at it and 2 WO away from finishing stage 1…
  • Thanks. I have tried a few times to do some videos but I found the constant jumping they like to do a bit much after some lunges, stepups.. etc.
