  • Thank you @AnnPT77! That was some great info. I’ll look more o to the spreadsheet this evening. It’s been so hard. I hit goal weight five years ago then my husband was diagnosed with leukemia. I’ve gained it all back and no matter what I e tried it just doesn’t budge. I’ve worked with a health coach, nutritionist, weight…
  • I would say between 80-90 grams of protein a day. That is what I have my macros set on and work to get at least that. Protein has always been tough for me but I'm getting better at it
  • thank you. I am 5'1 I do use a food scale and when I journal I have a planner that I log my meals in. I have played around with my settings here so many times based on what I read that it gets confusing. One nutritionist I saw told me to do 1400 a day. So I did that for a while but that was just too much I think. So I…
  • Sorry about that. I shoot for 1200 a day
  • kathy...I know it is horrible right now. I have so been in the give up stage for weeks now. I've still tried to log even though I know it is all yuck and horrible stuff. Getting my head back on .....bought some groceries this evening with fresh veggies and fruit and wanting to kick off tomorrow all good and healthy eating…
  • Lisa..I bought the book last night and started reading it. Wish I had more time in the day to devote to reading. Only finsihed chapter one last night. Already I have learned I need to figure out how to get rid of the bread
  • Thank you. I have reset my goals and changed my activity level. At least this is a start for me and hopefully will get me motivated again. I've also started a new medication (going on 3 weeks now) so I guess I need to research it and see how the weight gain goes with it. I appreciate all the help. I know I can do this.…
  • I will have to check out that tea. I am turning 41 next month I don't excersise like I should. I try to walk as much as I can and fit it in when I have extra time. I watch my granddaughter in the evenings when I get home from work.
  • don't give up! My whole life has always been about what that scales tells me. I will decide how my day will go by that stupid number. I have hate at 1200 calories, 900 calories and even at 700 calories just trying to lose weight and Nothing...not a lb...and felt my worst. I stumbled across this site several months ago and…
  • Thank you everyone. I so appreciate it. I really want to shove thru this wall I am stuck at. I see the 150's RIGHT there so I will re-evaluate my fitbit weekly totals and see what I can figure out to get this going again. You guys are awesome!
  • I'm also NOT entering my exercise thru MFP. I totally stopped doing that once I got the fitbit and solely rely on that for my walking tracking. If I do any type of workout I will add it thru MFP but currently I have not been doing anything extra other than the walking. For instance if I am working in the yard I will add…
  • To be honest I try really hard to make sure I do not go below my BMR. The most I have been eating is about 1600. I haven't made it yet to my full 1702, I sit at a desk all day but I walk 20 mintues when I get home 5 days a week so that I can get those extra steps in. Or take an extra stroll around the yard, etc. So I…
  • thanks everyone. I drink anywhere from 10-15 8 oz glasses of water during the day so I guess going over 2500 isn't that bad a thing. I've tried to track potassium because I have had problems with low potassium in the last few months but that to me is even harder to track. I just don't eat enough potassium rich foods. Today…
  • AWESOME thank you. I think I have finally figured this out! Woohooo And I got my FITBIT weekly report and my calories in vs out was -2351 :) I think I can do this!!!!
  • the scale is something I have a hard time with. I need to just throw it away.
  • thanks everyone. finished off the night at 1934 and I think the goal on fitbit was 2100. so not too bad. I have to give it credit...it motivates me. I was running up the deck stairs and took an extra lap around the yard so that I could get more steps in. I love that...lol
  • while eating the full fat Greek yogurt do you feel concerned about the higher sugar? Or maybe I am just looking at the wrong kind of greek yogurt
  • I don't have any advice as I am a newbie but I just have to give you a kudos with your 9 children! I have 2 and a1 grandbaby and that is enough to keep me busy :)
  • thank you. So glad I am not going crazy. I think I will try and turn it off because it really makes me down :(
  • I just finished a 10 day supply and was not impressed. It tasted okay but didn't do anything for me
  • Thank you :) Most of the days I am just over in the sugar but everything else is just fine :)
  • I so need to do this. I know it is horrible but I get on the scale twice a day. I try not to but it is a problem that is for sure
  • I so needed to read this today. Thank you
  • I'm having a hard enough time trying to get to my BMR let alone my TDEE!
  • I totally understand your frustration too. But sadly for me I still haven't been able to get up to my TDEE or eevn my BMR. I just don't know how to eat enough calories to get me there. I have been stuck at 900-1000 calories for so long that I am just not hungry
  • Is there any other option than wearing it on your arm? I would not be able to do this because of my work. That is why I was leaning to the fitbit
  • Great topic. Thanks for all the comments. I have been wanting a fitbit and this is the first I have heard of this other device
  • giving it a go beginning today. I have to admit I am pretty scared about gaining but I am going to try this
