I think that's more than 6 inches if you're starting from a dead hang. Keep it up. I did 7 chinups. That's 1 less than last month. :-( I was packing and moving to a new city, so didn't really work out last month at all.

Sept 1: 8 chinups! Keep it up everybody. That first chinup is definitely difficult, and a big accomplishment.

I haven't lost weight for 3 weeks now, but I just measured myself, and my waist, hip, and chest measurements are all down from last month (-0.75 lb, -0.5 lb, -1 lb). :-) This keeps me motivated to press on.

What programs are you all using to improve your chinup numbers. I've been at 5 chinups (and 2.5 pullups) for months now, although, truth be told, I don't regularly practice chinups.
