  • Interesting, it's worth a try...lol! It is now written on the grocery list :) Oh, the many uses of vingar...lol
  • I too only wanted to lose 15 lbs initially, thinking it wasn't going to be too hard.....boy was I wrong...lol! I didn't lose a lot of inches either on 30 DS. I liked it, but was disappointed in all of the hype. Out of all of this, I know I"m more in shape and I'm sure physically the exercise is doing something, but I would…
  • I am going to try this. I have noticed since starting spinning over 3 or 4 weeks ago, my body has adjusted to the intensity of it. I have made some changes to the level and pace I set the bike at but I don't think it is enough. I will either try increasing the intensity more or trying out a different machine like the…
  • I do use a digital food scale which has been great. I highly suggest one to everyone. As far as sugars, I do have a sweet tooth. But I also found some mornings I am over in sugars even after just eating fruit. That is frustrating too. I am going to reasearch other sites and see what they have to say. I have to figure…
  • I'm going to have to look it to Advocare more. One of my neighbors sells it and maybe I should talk to her too. This is becoming so frustrating. I think I will research the 24 day challenge here on MFP too. Somedays I'm over on protein and somedays I could eat more. Whatever is happening or not happening, I need to figure…
  • I'm starting tomorrow too. I am so glad it goes by faster than 30DS. I did up to L3D5. I'm taking more accurate measurments this time around too....lol!
  • Have to comment on Truvia....I love it! It tastes just like sugar to me and I am a sugar freak! Honey is good too. I haven't tried the agave and I don't like Splenda.
  • Yep, it is a data hog. I have Verizon and if I use Pandora to workout with I make sure I'm on a Wifi network. I don't think I would use it if I were you and walking outside. Love it though, very awesome!
  • Yep, definitely go with the polar one. I have the polar Ft4 and love it. I had a sportline and while I liked that one too, I felt I wasn't burning enough calories and thought maybe it has seen the end of it's days, so I bought the polar ft4 from amazon. As it turned out the sportline said I burned less calories than the…
  • Love this game! And...scramble and hanging with friends 4for4 nomore
  • Yep, it gets better has your bladder adjusts, so to speak. I upped my water intake too and I was getting up 2-3 times in the middle of the night...very annoying. But after about a week of that I can now sleep through the night. I think it would help too not to drink water or definitely any caffeine drinks a few hours…
  • Yep, I hate level 2. The sides of my knees hurt. So much so, that I made my own modified version of jumping jacks, if that's possible...lol! I still keep my HR up when I'm doing them so I don't really care :) Today I did level 1 and then level 2. Level 1 was great and I dreaded having to go into level 2. I can't wait for…
  • All of the above! :)
  • Yeah, lol I don't think I want that. I am going to have to pay special attention to labels and play around a bit to see what my body can handle. Thanks for the info!
  • Thank you for all the comments :) I am going to push through it to the 30day..., and after reading these posts it sounds like I just need to put that scale away and make the tape measure and the fit of my clothes the deciding factor! :)
  • I should clarify, I haven't lost the weight I think I should be losing. I at least expected to lose a pound from last week to this week. And I will take your advice, I am going to increase my weights for some exercises from 3lbs to 5lb weights. Thanks!
  • When I was doing level 1 I logged it as 24 minutes circuit training and MFP said I burned 216 calories. When I used my HRM I burned 135 calories...and that was including the warm up and cool down. Now with level 2 my HRM says I burn 150 calories with the warm up and cool down. I don't even know what MFP would log me as. At…
  • My favorites: Kahlua (Timothy's Brand) GREEN MOUNTAIN: Vanilla Carmel Cream Wild Mountain Blueberry ( It really is good :) Breakfast Blend Golden French Toast Pumpkin Spice Hot Cocoa is good too :) I buy all mine from COFFEEGIANT.COM . Cheap, 13.32 for a box 18-24 count and free shipping with at least four boxes ordered at…
  • I log it as 20 minutes circuit training Level 1 I burn 135 calories Level 2 I burn 150 calories Just to give you a rough estimate. I'm 5'5" and 147 lbs 32 y.o. female
  • Yep you are correct. Someone who weighs more will generally burn more. I was using what MFP said I burned for calories too and then I switched to my heart rate monitor and is gave me a significantly lower number of calories burned than MFP. It was a bit discouraging at first but at least now I know it's accurate and I…
  • I just did level 2 day 1 and it kicked my butt. I found it hard and I hope I can stick with it. I felt like I had to stop and catch my breath a few times. I usually did the modified version of the exercises in level one but today I tried to do the full version and when I got tired I switched to the modified. I also am not…
  • Hi-Just wondering if you are also listed under "LifeofAshleyn" I friended "LifeofAshleyn" (21) who has the same profile pic as you. Just wondering who is who...lol. Or if someone is being an imposter. At any rate the results are awesome!
  • Yep, everyday...not by 10 or 15 grams, more like 30-40 grams. It is discouraging to see how much sugar I'm taking in. I have a horrible sweet tooth. I too, am more focused on my calories than most other things. I don't really like the taste of artificial sweetners either. I have stopped using sugar in my coffee and now…
  • Wow, such awesome pics. I too am a twin mama (just turned 7) I was in the best shape of my life before I got preggo with them, 128lbs and I did well even when preggo with them only gained 47 lbs....but postpartum I began to despise as one poster said it, my abdominal twin skin. So much so, that I told my self I was going…
  • Thanks so much for everyone's input. It seems I will be going with the HRM results :) It is a bit discouraging but I know I'm sweating and getting a good workout. And after all the results pictures I have seen I can only hope my body with be toned by the end of it too. Can't wait for level 2! ETA: And I think I will log it…
  • Holy Crap, GIRL, You look amazing! Hot! LOL! Just sayin' LOL! Way to go!
  • I just finished L1D6 and I am more exhausted today than other days...not sure why. The first day I couldn't find my weights so I didn't use any. I thought, "okay, this is doable." The 2nd and 3rd days I used 2 lbs weights and still I thought this is doable. I felt the burn in my legs but not so much in my arms. So on the…
  • Wow....Amazin!. You both look awesome! Well wishes to you and your wife and continued good health. :)
