Sorry to hear that. As the above posters have mentioned, I too from my experience would it be myself having an exacerbation, would rest. If I need more sleep, I would sleep. Continue to eat healthy and clean. Just basically pay attention to the signals your body is giving off and you will be okay. That's what has helped me…

Stay home, get a good workout in trying something different for the day. You may find out you may enjoy the change and add something new to your routine. If you are feeling pretty badly take it as a sign and take this time to help your body fight and rest up. Not heading to the gym I'm sure would be appreciated by others.…

I have no intellectual additives to insert here, just my two cents and I wanted to wave my arms about and say HEY! leave us MS'ers out of this! Being a woman living with Multiple sclerosis it's a frustrating reading post like these. Those symptoms this article says that could be caused by aspartame poisoning? Those are…

No one in my family has or has had MS. We do though have a long line of muscular dystrophy which I happen to have both MS and MD. Fun times! I hope you get the info you are seeking, it's always so important to always be gathering information, especially about this disease.

2000 iu twice a day here also. No side effects for me.

I swim freestyle and do water aerobics with a gentle arthritis aerobics class in the water. It's great! It's finally nice here to swim in the pool and the lake so I try and do more of the outdoors swimming that I can get in during the warm months. I also hike some trails, but that's more of a spring fall thing for me due…

Another great book that I have just cracked open is from a very extraordinary physician and writer Deepak Chopra, M.D. The book is called Quantum Healing ; Exploring the frontiers of mind/body medicine. It is dealing with humanity's lost healing traditions and what I am just understanding from the first few chapters, the…

I am now reading this and so far am getting a lot from it. Thank you for the referral. I started to see this book referenced in others and also on others lists to read. Thank you Hoots! Let me know how you are finding this read. I am also reading Why people don't heal And how they can by Caroline Myss, PH.D. and am…

Thanks for this info :) This sounds like something I will add to my next amazon order.

I know how you feel! I've struggled with quite a change in my mood/personality this past year. Depression is not something that was very prevalent in my life up until recent. And the impatience and anger is totally something new and frightening. I knew something was amiss but with each neuro visit I was told that MS does…

Thanks for all the recommendations! And yes I agree the MS society's website is a wealth of knowledge. I am so thankful for the society's resources. Just an update the new book I received the other day. Overcoming Multiple Sclerosis by Professor George Jelinek is hands down the best resource book I've read yet. He himself…

Remember to use your local MS chapter for equipment! Each chapter has a set amount of funds to spend on members each year and a cooling vest is one of those things they offer. Also let your chapter know of other needs, they are there to help with improving the quality of their members lives. They are wonderful for keeping…

I so know your pain. Hang in there and yeh, deep breathes is pretty much what it takes.

For me, I just have to give a hard workout another go. Once that is done I feel motivated once again and silly for thinking I'd give it all up to be unhealthy, unhappy, and uncomfortable. Especially when summer is on it's way! You can do it! You already know what the alternative is and it sucks. My two cents :D

Just have to say I can't wait for the soil to warm. Nothing is better then the smell and feel of warm soil.

Yes I can have quite a bit of joint pain some days, others not so much. Stress, high pressure, and cold can attribute to it for sure. My physicians believe a lot of it is but not all is contributed to my form of Muscular dystrophy rather the my Multiple sclerosis. I am taking joint supplements with Chondroitin Glucosamine…

I loved some of these. Any other suggestions?

Hello :) Welcome to the group and and may I say how wonderful your devotion to your wife is. Just by asking these questions and wanting to learn about her MS makes me smile. A lot of people don't have that support right off the bat. It makes a world of difference. I currently am not on a disease modifying drug. I was on…

I tend to try and start my day normally, even if only for 15 mins. If after that time I am still feeling the same, or worse I take a deep breath and erase my day in my head and go with the flow. If that means going back to bed and getting more rest, setting myself up in my chair and resting, or stretching out on the couch…

Hi Janine :) Welcome and thank you for sharing your story. And big congratulations of quitting smoking, that's hard on it's own to overcome. Myself just hit my fifth year smoke free. I was dx in 2007 and quit right about that time, This is a great group, and I am sure you will find some useful tips from it's members. Best…
