  • I know that you can do this without surgery!! I had the lap band surgery done and the most interesting about that experience was that the doctor that did the surgery tried talking me out of it beforehand. He said "This is only a tool, it isn't a cure." Now, I would say that was a great thing to say because after I…

And I feel very good about my sugars. I did 30 minutes of P90X arms and shoulders which I love to do. The hubby says that if I don't eat back my…

  • Calories 1264 Carbs 137 Fat 51 Protein 72 Sugar 19 Water 3 cups I did 20 mins of P90X and kept my sugars below goal. YIPPEE!!! I am very happy with that, especially since I love my sweets. I wish I did better at drinking water. I really need to try harder at getting more water. I think the deal is I just don't drink much…

  • Forgot to mention that I am HAPPY that I stayed under my sugar goal today! I think it may be getting easier to resist -- except for maybe the sugar in fruits I like to eat.
  • Monday: Calories: 1044 Carbs: 146 Fat: 28 Protein: 64 Sugar: 23 Water: 4 cups Exercise: housecleaning and cooking all day long, counted as 2 hours of "food preparation". It was hard to figure out how to put in the extra housework I did today. MFP's "light housekeeping" seemed to give a really high calorie count --…
  • Easter: 1232 calories (only 32 over!) 132 carbs 49 fat 67 protein 38 sugar No water No exercise I stayed away from most sugar *all weekend* -- even when offered sweets at church! There was a lot of candy in the house, too with the kid's Easter baskets. Yes, I went over on sugar but it was mostly from the sweet potato…
  • I wouldn't worry too much. I fluctuate so much that it's crazy and drives me crazy but in the long run when I see my chart, I still have a pretty consistent decline. I'm glad to see that you're still posting it! It's makes me feel better. The starting of this topic, I started my TOM so there you go. No weight loss for me…
  • More features MFP needs and probably never will get: 1) Tracking of how consistently you have LOGGED FOOD, not just LOGGED IN. Lots of people log in daily and have a high score for that... but their diaries show that they frequently don't log any food for days or weeks at a time. 2) "Resuming" consecutive days if you go…
  • Calories 1792 Carbs 190 Fat 83 Protein 71 Sugars 18 Fiber 8 As you can see, today was a blowout for me. Going over my calories but had a good P90X strength training workout. I still look forward to my weigh in tomorrow, though. AND I did great on my sugars which makes me excited about. It is not easy, because I think about…

  • Calories: 1185 Carbs: 149 Fat: 46 Protein: 51 Sugar: 35 No water :( No exercise :( Tough staying away from sugar today. My 35 is from "baby cuties" -- little mandarin oranges. There were many desserts around me at lunch and it was HARD to resist. (But I DID!) And this is only the beginning of the month! Looking forward to…
  • I just tried it and it worked for me.

  • 1041 cals, 102 carbs, 54 fat, 62 protein, 25 sugar Before I got in this group I didn't look at the sugar on the food labels, but now I'm checking them all (things like pasta and chips)... so now it's an added target to "stay under". My daily sugar goal (calculated by MFP) is 26 grams. I didn't know how well I would do…
  • I feel desperate now because it has been a year of being on MFP and have only lost 38 lbs. I'm not quitting by any means but feel like it is coming off so slowly. So when I saw this, it may be a good addition to the lose 5 lbs in April. I'm gonna try it and hope it will help me stay focused on what I'm eating. Here's to NO…
  • I want to start!! I need as much encouragement as I can. And I think this will help me go forward. Friday, March 30 --- 219 Friday April 6 --- Friday April 13 --- Friday April 20 --- Friday April 27 ---

  • Thank you for the advice. I will try that. I have done some exercises off the tv which was pretty cool. Thanks for the encouragement, it means a lot.
  • I probably need to try to find a buddy in my area. When I read about that it sounded like something that would keep me accountable and knowing that someone was with me. Hopefully, I can find someone who needs to lose as much as I do and is around where I am at with my weight now. Thanks for the encouragement. Good luck to…
  • Sometimes you can find it where there is no beginning fee. Here in the Houston area, I pay around $37 a month but it is so worth it. I hope you will look into it. It is only 30 minutes or as long as you want to do and you definitely have results from their circuit training.
  • What the girl said about the BOOTCAMP app is all good but it looks like a lot of strenuous exercise. I am a beginner and it looks hard after looking over it but maybe you can pick from several exercises to do. I, myself, go to Curves and it is also a circuit trainer that works at cardio and toning all muscles. I have lost…
