Feel free to add me, I'm eating 1800 plus exercise cals, losing slowly but planning on keeping it off this time so slow loss is good!
-
Love it! Well done!

I'm in Scotland, got the New Rules book but frightened of starting, building up confidence doing some lifting in the bloke corner of the gym, just not ready to do anything that might draw attention to me at the moment. Feel free to add me, looking for more UK friends, especially those who eat more than a sparrow! :-))

Wow, that's amazing in only three months!

I've just read that a 2 to 3 year old sedentary child requires 1,000 cals a day, so it makes sense to me that a taller than average female adult doing regular cardio and lifting weights must eat a reasonable amount extra just to be healthy. I'm 5'8" and have MFP set at 1,800 net to lose 1/2 a pound a week.
-
I didn't plateau but neither was I on a tiny calorie allowance either, I lost 13 lbs at 1600 a day but since switching to 1800 have only lost just over 2 lbs however I wanted to start lifting heavier weights and felt I needed to fuel my workouts, everything I read about eating more made sense. This time I want to lose…

By eaters feel free to add me, I'm eating 1800 plus exercise cals, lifting weighs, doing cardio and losing, love it!

I spend a vast proportion of my time walking my three dogs (although only two are in the pic).
-
I'd love some NROL4W friends too, I have the book but I'm frightened to start! :-))

I use protein powder at least once a day but try to eat a lot of other protein too, in addition to what's been mentioned what about tinned tuna for a snack, hummous, lentils, quinona, steak, eggs, bacon, beans and pulses, cheese?
-
I strongly suspect you could and should be eating a lot more than 1200 cals. I've had my eyes opened since joining MFP, I want my weight loss to be sustainable, a lifestyle change rather than a quick fix. Investigating your BMR and TDEE would be a v good start, you may be surprised how much you can eat and still lose. You…

My three are fed raw, they love it and they are v healthy on it!
-
You're probably wise! :-)). If there really is a strike we'll be grounded with no fuel, eeek! :-))
-
I've been drinking protein powders to help me meet my requirements (I'm looking for 30% protein a day). Whey protein powder is a milk protein, I use it in smoothies and shakes.
-
I'm in Scotland too and feel your pain, add to that the current panic buying and unscrupulous garages putting up the prices to profiteer from the panic. I'm not buying until my fuel light comes on, a decision I'll hopefully not live to regret! :-))
-
I'm from Scotland, feel free to add me if you want! :-)

I've been making a massive protein shade in the blender to drink while I'm dashing about in the mornings, scoop of protein powder, porridge oats, banana, milk and sometimes peanut butter, keeps me full till lunch.
-
Feel free to add me, I've lost 13lbs eating 1600 plus exercise cals and have recently upped to 1800 plus exercise, not lost on the higher cals yet but holding out! :-)
-
I like to peel mine, cut into cubes, roast in the oven with a drizzle of olive oil and then eat with balsamic vinegar.

I've been regularly attending BodyPump classes for 12 years now and I do take heavy weights however I would not call it lifting heavy, it's a great class but it's more in the way of muscle endurance, making it slightly aerobic rather than than heavy lifting if that makes sense? I have only just started lifting in the gym…

Protein shakes are cheap and easy? I used to laugh at my husband for drinking them but now I'm consuming more than he does. Greek Yoghurt, eggs, cheaper cuts of meat slow cooked, quinona (my kids love quinona), lentils and other pulses.
-
Feel free to add me but be warned I eat loads! :-))
-
I log Bodypump as a strength exercise so I don't get any extra cals for it however I believe it falls more into muscle endurance making it more along the lines of an aerobic class than lifting in the gym. I used to wear an HRM to BodyPump years ago and seem to remember burns in the region of 400 to 500 cals, unfortunately…

Feel free to add me, although do be warned I eat loads! :-))

Absolutely amazing! What a transformation! Showed my husband your pics and he didn't think he was looking at the same woman!
-
Another Scottish MFP member here, I exercise and eat like there's no tomorrow, looking for supportive friends, feel free to add! :-)
-
I have three dogs too and log their walks, I have an app for my phone that keeps track of my walking speed and tend to average between 3 and 3.5 mph.
-
I eat them v occasionally and agree they are tasty and surprisingly filling however the trainers at the gym I go to said to exercise caution with them due to sodium levels but they were talking to a lady who was eating them every day.
-
You look amazing! Well done!

This is why I do classes, Zumba, Spinning, Dancercise etc, get my cardio in that way.
