  • My pinched nerves are in my shoulders and wrapped the wrong way around my deformed collar bone. If I get surgery (which is the only repair for it) I risk losing all feeling in the entire arm. So I cannot overuse my arms or lift more than 2 pounds. :( I think I will start with stretching and walking in place for now and go…
  • Unfortunately I'm allergic to painkillers and anti-inflammatory meds so the only way to treat the pain is ice and sleep :( I was walking on my treadmill at a fast speed as well as using my resistance bands. I was also using a plastic step. But that was before. I can't do those any more
  • Those shots you were referring to...do you have to get them in every joint or does one shot work for all joints?
  • I think it really all comes down to needing like minded friends. I moved her 3 years ago and made very few friends since I'm a homebody pretty much. Even most of them I no longer see. I don't know. I guess I'm lonely and feel like I'm alone in this...
  • Lol don't be too jealous, I'm almost the same height and I started my journey at 165. I've been here since August and taken off almost 23 pounds. I'm hoping to drop another 15-20 depending on how I look and feel. My base line calorie goal is 1200. But i rarely make it. I used to go under all the time but my sister in law…

  • Thank you everyone. I don't usually have any caffeine...not a soda or coffee drinker but I could try it. The water is a great suggestion. Everyone seems to agree that and an ice pack go a long way. I usually put the ice pack on my forehead. I will try the back of my neck. I have been diagnosed with daily chronic headache…
  • My ring is the reason i'm here. I've been engaged for some time and in July I went to buy wedding rings only to discover I had gotten so fat I had to have my engagement ring cut off of me. So I went home and weighed myself to discover I had hit a weight I had never been before (not including pregnancy) and I flipped! Now I…

  • I have been on it. I gained weight easily and could not get rid of it. On top of that until after I was off of it I wasn't aware that it zaps your calcium. So it effects your bones and teeth. So make sure you are getting a decent amount of calcium in your diet. Those weren't my only issues. The real reason I finally go off…

  • I have been on wellbutrin but found out I'm allergic. Broke out in hives. I've been on prozac and it turned me into a zombie. I'm now on celexa. It helps my depression but it makes losing weight really tough.
  • I have 7 kids so I get it! Only one is home during the day but he doesn't play alone well. But there are things you can do with the kids. There is yoga for children. Hula hoops help you and is fun for them. Head shoulders knees and toes is a fun game. So is tag. You can use the little kid as a weight. Use him/her by…

  • I am a gym member but the hours I am able to get there (they don't offer child care) are after dinner which is also my time to relax. So I end up doing most of my stuff at home. I am lucky enough to have things that help like a treadmill, a step, exercise bands, Wii, and Kinect. But even without that there is walking, sit…
  • Thank you everyone! :) I'm smiling!!!
  • I like that idea :)
  • You could go for walks whenever possible as long as the doc permits... Can the doc check you to see if you've healed better than expected and can get back on it? If not, don't push it. You don't want to risk hurting yourself and having to be away from exercise even longer.
  • I look at it as scrubbing the floor or bathtub as heavy cleaning. I see dishes, sweeping, washing counters and table as light cleaning... If you are moving vigorously or using a lot of strength, heavy If you are not really raising your heart rate much, light
  • Look for multigrain or whole grain foods. Also veggies and fruits. Unfortunately I have upped both my fiber and the water that it needs to work properly and yet I've been having the same trouble. I have been chewing Fiber chews daily and still having trouble. I've just added benefiber to my diet and hope it's enough. If…
