I've been on and off diets all my adult life. I'm fed up!! So this is it! I have to make it work this time. My daughter lost weight, got fit and advised me to join a gym. I'm using her trainer. They both explained how the weight loss process works and how I can benefit from a mix of cardio and strength exercises. I am…

Great Job! Keep it up!

I keep stopping too. Maybe reading the success stories on MFP daily, would be motivating enough. If others can do it, I should be able to do it too.

Looking forward to starting this challenge. I live in Cairo, Egypt. I am 48 years old and I have two daughters ages 24 and 18. I have already lost 11 pounds since January, 1. I am challenging myself to sticking to losing weight for one year. These mini challenges are added motivation. Thanks for adding me.

I'm in! During this challenge, I learned at what rate I am losing weight and have accepted the fact that I will lose slower than I expected. I am happy with my results even if I am not reaching my goal as fast. Now I accept the fact that it will take me a year to reach close to my desired weight. Keep these challenges…

I drain a large quantity of yoghurt in a cheese cloth. It takes a night. It turns into Lebneh. Lebneh is a Lebanese cheese dip. Once the yoghurt is drained you can top it with olive oil and sprinkled dried mint. I eat it as a dip with cucumbers or carrots. It's delicious !!

Hi, thanks for adding this group. I would love to learn to belly dance. Actually it's embarrassing to say, but I live in Egypt and should already know how to belly dance. LOL I have been looking for some fun exercises that have dance movements and I never thought of belly dancing. I am so happy you started the group.

I'm on the low GI diet. This is a recipe I use from one of my low Gi cookbooks. I live in Egypt and I usually can't find the ingredients people use on MFP , like different types of flour, but this recipe was a blessing. The recipe uses phyllo pastry which I lightly oil with olive oil. I found the same recipe on the net.…

Have you tried fresh rice noodles? I can't find fresh in egypt so I use dry rice noodles. Fresh rice noodles are low in the glycemic index.

I have learned in these last two months that it is not only consuming the right number of calories but the right kind of food. I eat 1500 calories a day of salads, beans and fruits. I learned that strawberries and avocados are great for breaking down fat. I eat a bowl of salad with an avocado a tbs of olive oil and…

Just eat healthy. If you don't know what healthy is, check the glycemic index of foods. I have been trying to lose weight for 20 years and it was only when I learned about the GI diet that I started losing weight. I have stopped eating meat and I focus on fish, chicken breasts, vegetables, beans and fruits. I check the…

After years of trying to lose weight, I finally found the way that works with me. I focus on fresh vegetables, beans and fruits. I took out processed food like white sugar and white flour. I don't eat red meat . I eat fish and sometimes chicken breasts. I don't see enough green in your food diary. Broccoli, asparagus,…

I am going totally natural and nothing processed. I drink 3 cups of coffee a day with skimmed milk and a tsp of honey in each. Honey is healthy. I have not had white sugar, white flour, and white rice for 35 days. It's working for me.

Amazing!

I'm not dropping out of the challenge. Looking at the spreadsheet, looks like I am the one who needs to lose the most weight.
