  • Amazing! Congratulations!
  • I am training for the Princess Half Marathon at Disney World next February. Losing weight, getting fit, eating healthy and looking good are all kind of rolled up into that goal. I was at Disney World this past January so I have several pics of me in front of the castle (my before pictures). I so can't wait to have my…
  • You look great! Congratulations! Keep up the fantastic work!
  • I just recently started having terrible reflux issues. Likely from a medication I'm taking. Doc told me to take prilosec twice a day for a four weeks (ETA: then he wants me to come off of it and see how I do). He said if I didn't see improvement in a week to come back. Also, I am supposed to have a few hours between the…
  • I used to crave sugar and used to eat a lot of candy, but within a few weeks of not drinking soda, the sugar cravings pretty much went away. I have a treat now and then, but I don't crave it anymore.
  • I would not run two half marathons with only a week between them. As long as you won't lose your job, do the race in January and the one in the Fall. Make it up to Trudy somehow. Maybe she gets some extra days off when you get back, like you take her shifts or something. Can someone from the Main Campus fill in for you…

  • I'm usually around 1600. I try to stay between 1400 and 1800. I do eat back my exercise calories. I think I'm averaging about 1.5 pounds a week or thereabouts.
  • I feel really good. I have found that my sugar/sweets cravings are pretty much gone. I don't miss it.
  • I have an 8 inch scar going down the middle of my chest from open heart surgery. It starts about two inches below my collar bone. I also have two horizontal scars below that on my belly which are from the drains. I used to be self conscious about showing my scars. Now though, I figure they are a part of who I am and I…
  • The people at my dog's vet office see me often and know about the heart surgery I had last year and how I was looking forward to getting back to my old self. Last month I walked in the door and the receptionist shouted out "It's the incredible shrinking woman!" Also, the vet told me that I was looking great and how it was…
  • I do not believe in treating any overweight person as less than. I do not believe in ridiculing or berating. We all come in different shapes and sizes and should be loved an appreciated for the person we are, not what we look like. That said, we as a country need to wake up and realize that we have a problem with our…
  • I think if smoking were still cheap, socially accepted, and as strongly advertised as our junk food is today, the number of smokers would never have decreased and would probably still be increasing. Likewise, if junk foods were heavily taxed, socially unacceptable, and if all of the junk food ads (and weight loss "diet"…
  • You look so good!
  • Great job!
  • Beautiful!
  • Thank you for posting this. This article has come at the right time for me.
  • My first concert was Debbie Gibson. My last concert was Dave Matthews Band. EDIT: Nix the DMB. The last one was actually U2.
  • St. Charles.
  • We took our honeymoon to Idaho, the Coeur d'Alene area. Did some hiking there, art galleries, shops, lake. Also drove to Montana for white water rafting.

  • An FYI, you can test negative for wheat allergy but still have gluten intolerance. For example, Celiac Disease is an autoimmune disorder and not an allergy.
  • I can see a lot more definition in your waist for sure. It also looks like your hips are slimming down too. Keep up the great work!

  • I was having a problem a few weeks back with shin splints. I didn't push it so mine weren't too bad, but still painful. I'd give them a little time to heal. Ice your shins and maybe see how you feel in a week or two and ease back into running. Good stretching before and after a run really help. I also bought compression…
  • Hi! It sounds like you have a great plan going. Congratulations on the 33 pound loss. That's fantastic! I live in MO also and I am going to Hawaii in December (Kauai and Big Island). Hawaii is a great motivator, isn't it? lol. Feel free to add me if you like.
  • I eat it and enjoy it and add it to my calories. The other day I ate a whole bag of gluten free chocolate covered pretzels. They were delicious and I didn't feel the least bit guilty. I think I went over a bit on my calories that day, but I don't do that every day so to me it is okay.
