You look awesome! 50 lbs in a year is great, you should be very proud! Plus you look like a new person! I am a runner, training for a first full this fall, send me friend req if you're looking for more buddies :)

I am 5'2 (maybe 5'3 if I stretch!). I have been maintaining 130 for about a year now, I got down as low as 128 and typically I see around 132 lately. I am marathon training so weight loss is not a goal at the moment. I can't go down past 125. I have too much muscle mass. Everyone says I look like I weight a lot less so I…

Yay! I love running and when I started a few years ago, I remember the first time I ran 2 miles without stopping, my first 5k, first half marathon! Enjoy being a new runner! Those accomplishments are fun and you should be proud. Congrats! YOu know what the coolest part of running is...there is always new challenges out…

I used to stress it but I got over it and focused on what I felt good at. I am 5'3 and around 130. About 23% BF. I was told recently that I would be a good drinking game bet..."let's guess what Michelle weighs". I am a size 2 or 4 and a small.

For me, I picked 140. Started at 169. 140 was just within the BMI standards and I weighed 140 right before I got pregnant the first time. I got to 140, thought I would try for 135, got to 135 and said "what the heck, let me try for 130" :). I got down to 128 last fall but am back up to 133 from weight training. I am now…

Wanna know what I would say if I couldn't afford it... Your husband just had surgery for frickin sake! No. I would say, I am sorry but I can't take the photos for free. Is there anything we can work out as compensation because of my DHs surgery and the costs that I did not expect when I initially said yes. I never got…

I run alot more than you want to. I average about 30 miles a week and I seem to always be training for a half marathon or something similar. I really don't have a ton of advice except to make it a habit. Habits are hard to break. Set your running days for a month and once you are in the routine, lace up your shoes and just…

Trust me when I say this! Runners love when they see new runners out there. Most of us were there once and if I see someone doing the walk run thing, I think back to everything I have been through to get to this point... The shin splints, IT band issues, plantar fasciitis. I admire ANYONE that is determined to make a goal!…

I had PF but not nearly as bad as you. It took lots of time to recover.. Ice and Motrin with lots of rest. Over time, it got better and I have ran several half marathons, training for a full. My advice... Rest, ice, Motrin and patience. Take a few days off, rest then try the shoes again. Try this for a few weeks and if the…

You guys look AMAZING! Congrats!

My shoes last about 3 or so months. I run about 100 miles a month when it's nice though. Could very well be your shoes, could be fuel. Look on the bottom or your shoes, do you see lots of tread wear or weak spots, it not, try eating before you go out?

I loved it! Went from a walker to a runner through the program about 2.5 years ago. I now run half marathons on a regular basis

When I did insanity about 1.5 yrs ago, I was overweight and I could not get through a workout. I didn't start the program at first. I rotated the first week until.. 1. I could get through a full video 2. I could do Insanity every day. It took me about 2 weeks to get there. The first day of Insanity, I threw up! I was so…

Great tips! I have my 4th half in a few weeks and am going to do my first full this fall. Along with the hydrating tip...GUI and chews work amazing for the really long runs. I didn't use them until the 10 mile mark. I am also a believer that you should NOT stop training at the 10 mile mark...go for 12! I know a lot of…

WTG! Start adding more activity and the more weight that comes off the better you will feel apt hthus more motivation. You will have bad weeks and good weeks but keep trying.

Yep, what he said. I like running but my husband doesn't. It's actually my thing and like doing it alone :D

Congrats! I did insanity about a yr and a half ago and am still in love with it!

I go with 40/30/30 as well. You may want to pick up the book New Rules of Lifting for Women. Good starter program for lifting but also explains a lot about nutrition as well,

Congrats!!!!!
