  • The first pic is just a really good cover up bathing suit which is doing its job but the second one is more revealing and you can see thr difference especially in the legs...really smoothed and toned. Nice work. you are doing it the right way with toning as you go.
  • 08/05 - 1.7 miles 08/06 - 4.0 miles total 5.7 miles August total 11.1 miles
  • I've completed 5.5 miles August 1 - 2.2 walking August 2 - 3.2 elliptical).
  • I'm in for 50 miles for the month!
  • I think it is the angle and the dress. Between the pattern and silouhette of the dress is not flattering to your shape, that you can see from the picture that it covers you but you can't really tell what size you are but not nearly a size 16. Solid colors and A-line dresses probably work better...patterns are for diversion!

  • I hate breakfast too but you can drink your calories by having a protein shake to get your metabolism going. And I get caught in the high sodium levels too but soemone told me to drink a gallon of water a day and especially in the evening where your meals have the most sodium. I have a 24oz cup that I drink 6 cups a day...…
  • Wow. This really is inspirational and because you took your time it looks really good!!:drinker:
  • Everyone is different based on body shape. I have huge legs so I'm 270 and a size 18 and I'm 5'3.
  • I agree. I think you have to find a new normal that is healthy which is the only way to keep it off but also I think what most diets and studies don't take into account is muscle mass. A person who is lean at 165 doesn't look like a person with high body fat % at 165. That also accounts for how you burn calories and your…
  • I have 100lbs to lose so add me. We will do it together.
  • Wow you rpost just stopped me from going to the vending machine. I'm going to be like you soon!!
  • I haven't heard this but I know soy products in general can cause birth defects when taken in high consumption. Ii found that out through a friend having the experience. You should check the cancer society website for info to see if they have any warnings because a lot of these research studies are not solid.
  • Yes I've been having this problem for 2 months now. I tried waking up and doing it earlier but I can't ever get it together to do that. So I take a tylenol PM. I hate taking sleep aids but I have to get to work early in the morning so I do it. I spoke to the trainer about it and she said I should do High intensity interval…
  • I am so glad you posted this. I had the same results with dropping some lbs but not seeing it (other than a few inches off the waist but no where else). I felt guilty eating my workout calories. I was patting myself on the back for not eating them. Thanks for the post!!!:flowerforyou:
  • My trainer told me to have it for breakfast ( since I'm not crazy about breakfast and I kept eating too much bacon). It is protein and it is suppose to help rebuild your muscles after working out and it does something else but I'm having a brain freeze. I take it because it curbs my appetite a bit so I don't start on this…

  • Although it is hard for us to think that our own mothers get jealous of us, they do. She may be a bit envious of your motivation and persistence in going. I suggest that next time she says something you say 'hey i got you a guest pass, lets go do that class you were talking about'. She'll either have to put up or shut up…
  • I have a Polar with the strap and since I started using those calories burned rather MFP estimate I've been losing weight and inches. You have to make sure you don't have the strap on upside down and it is right side up and tight. But it's equipment and I think it can always be off so do like you do with your…
  • Well the site suggested I eat 1800 calories to lose but I don't lose at 1800. So I looked on some other sites and if you know your body fat percentage then the calorie intake is lower because your body is not burning as efficient as it would with muscle. So I aim for 1500 and I'm starting to see a difference.
  • I like KMM7309 advice. I have had marital problems before and I was glad I stuck it out. It was like being in a storm, it feels long and drawn out when you are in it. Counseling didn't help us but taking a step back and not dealing with each other did for a while. Once we got back together I remembered that those vows said…
  • Sorry i thought you said low carb..I've never tried this but it sounds interesting from what I've read.My personal trainer has been pushing me to a similar way. I may try this.
  • I don't know if you are on a low carb diet but at work in the afternoon I crave a snickers. I go get a cup of Swiss Miss Cocoa with No Sugar Added and it seems to take the edge off. It is 30 calories.

  • this is my first blog. I think I like this idea. Did you stay within your nutritional goals? Yes Did I reach yesterday's personal goal? No What did I do yesterday that I am proud of? I did an extra 15 minutes on the elliptical What would I have done differently? Woouldn't have went to KFC for dinner What is today's…
