1. I changed my step goal today from 6,000 to 7,000 - (Once I consistently hit that I'll move it up again.) 2. When checking my step goal I realized 6 of the last 10 months I didn't hit 70,000 steps for the ENTIRE MONTH and this month I've hit 72,500 so far this month in 9 days!

I would love to do C25K but my knees aren't ready until I lose some weight so I've been walking on lunch. Any movement is a start!

I haven't weighed in since I started back at it. And yesterday I decided to try on my goal weightloss jeans just to see if I was making progress. THEY BUTTON AND ZIP! I still have a long way to go and I still have to lose more in order for them to fit well enough to wear out but I"m so excited! (I posted it on my…

This weekend was my 2nd OCR. My "ex-stepbrother-in-law" and I were doing it together and ran into a couple friends that did it with us. We were planning on doing the half tough mudder and at mile 4 swapped to the full instead! It was not pretty, I failed a few obstacles (but attempted everything at LEAST once), I am…

I started about the same time as you and have lost about the same amount of weight. I took a break around Memorial Day weekend and am just now thinking about restarting. I have stayed in the same 3-4 lb weight range and am still careful about what I eat (just less gym and logging). It has taken some stress off and gave me…

I started getting all my compliments now at 30 lbs lost too, and my boobs took a very large hit on the loss. That's alright, I'll take what I can get to make the scale go down!

I log every loss (even if it is a fluke). If I go more than a week without hitting that weight again then I log my current weight that day and continue.

So glad I'm not the only one! I'm wearing a shirt today I bought nearly 3 years ago in Sturgis and loved but it was WAY too small. Today not only does it fit, it is a bit loose! :)

3 months ago my goal was to be able to walk 3 miles. 2 months ago my goal was to be able to run (at all). 1 month ago my goal was to run 3 miles (5k). Now my goal is to be run 3 miles each morning before work/breakfast at least 4 times a week. Even if I have to walk a couple minutes here and there I'm fine with that - I…

30 year old Mom of 2. Starting weight was 220.6, current weight is right about 192, still a ways to go - 5'3" and very active on MFP

I would definitely discuss this with a Dr or PT of some sort before continuing. The last thing you want to do is damage your knee more resulting in bigger injuries. It's not worth the risk.

Welcome and good luck! The boards here can be very helpful but opinionated as well, if you have questions be sure to use the search function first and see what old information you can find - otherwise post on the boards. Adding friends helps a ton to keep you committed since a lot of us don't get the same kind of support…

I tend to log home calories a bit more than what they actually are and exercise less than what it is - the small differences in meals when I go out is lessened since I am already overestimating my eating. Pair that with my calories goal of 1360 and usually 400 exercise calories that I don't eat back and for the most part i…

Losing weight is just as much of a mental thing as a physical thing. For me it has taken 3 months to get into the mindset of "stop eating when you are no longer full" this is a tough one for me. I like food, I like junk food, I am used to eating until stuffed. Just keep trying, it will get easier. As for the junk food, for…

I go to the gym every morning, I eat within 200 calories of my 1360 calorie goal every day, I weigh every morning. some days I lost 4 lbs over night, some weeks I don't move at all - literally this week the scale has sat at 192.2 all week... not one ounce up or down. I know it sucks but I also know in the near future I…

I just found some there last night as well and was deeply confused on how on earth I ended up with them!

I have a couple: 1. Weight wise I set my goal for only 10 lbs at a time and I am soooo close to hitting the 180's, only a couple more pounds to go! 2. Measurement wise I have an entire box of Silver brand jeans in a size smaller than I currently am and I desperately want to wear them. 3. Fitness wise I want to beat my 38…

This is me lately also! My headphones stay with the left boob and my chapstick and ID stay with the right! LOL

GREAT JOB! I have to ask :) aussies or border collies?

For me the more weight I lose the more self conscious I get. Clothes I used to wear all the time would show "rolls" or "pudges", now I am extremely worried about these type - I feel like I'm judged harder since people know I'm trying to work this extra weight off and therefore I want to be sure to look my best. I *DO* look…

I completed my first 5k Saturday! It was a last minute decision Thursday morning and training wise I wasn't really ready. I did 10 min run / 1 min walk intervals for the most part and finished at 38:20 - not a great time but it give me a great time to beat for my next race next month!

As a mom of 2 with a 9 hour work day and a one hour drive each day my best advise is to schedule in your workouts and treat them as you would any other appointment. Do not cancel on yourself! For me that means I get up at 4am every morning to be at the gym by 5, that the grandparents take the kids for dinner once a week so…

What a great accomplishment! I completed C25K this month and also started running with a hash group last month but I never thought to track my miles! I will definitely think about doing that next month!

This would have been my first guess. If you have seriously upped your water consumption then I have to ask what you were drinking before. Caffeine withdrawals are awful, it took me a full 3 weeks to be able to function properly and the first week or two were a living hell.

I'm a 30 y/o mom of 2, 5'3", my SW was 220, CW is 191, looking to be about 150. I've done it before but then the 2nd baby came and I blamed the weight gain on her... she's now 6 so it probably isn't her fault anymore lol.

I started just after new year with a weight of 220.6 lbs, current weight is 191-192 depending on the day. That's nearly 30 lbs - 50 is totally do able just keep going and don't give up! Feel free to send me a FR also :)

Sundays are always the day we get up, have a big homemade breakfast, go grocery shopping and then come home for lazy afternoon nap time/netflix binge. Last Sunday instead of napping I spent that 2 hours or so outside with my kids playing soccer, playing house, making dandelion bracelets, etc. It was great! And yesterday…

As a non-runner to C25K completion I dealth with TERRIBLE shin splints. 1. Get better shoes 2. do C25K 3. if you are on a treadmill set the incline at 0.5 or 1.0 to help 4. tape your shins, kt tape is best and cheap on amazon - youtube how to tape them - this was my lifesaver

Today I completed C25K - beginning as a completely non-runner who thought she would die on day 1! Also, I am co-hareing a hash house harriers run this Saturday - I am officially a runner, when/how did this happen?!
