What nobody tells you about losing weight

Packing smaller clothes in a suitcase when traveling, there's room for extra outfits! (No, I'm NOT bringing a smaller dang suitcase - lol)26

As someone who use to work retail, and had to handle the damp money that came out of the "boob wallets", please just don't. I don't care if your phone or id or whatever, but cash shouldn't ever be passed on sweaty.
Oh, and the latest - no one really tells you that while your body looks healthier, your face might look a bit older, because it's not as filled out anymore.59 -
that while you can feel your hip bone - yay bones.....the way it feels when you move your fingers across them and the fat kinda of goes from one side of the bone to the other feels so wrong!
and the fat areas feel more lumpy? is that normal? am fighting the paranoia at the moment11 -
You might find stretch marks in places you didn't even realise were fat. I just found some on the back of my knees while shaving my legs. How did I have fat knees?! And I only found them because I can now bend that way without my fat getting in the way13

I mean it's one thing pushin' them heavy things up into the air and feeling like a right badass doing it. But a half hour later there I am, propping my elbow up against the wall cause holding it above my head for one more second would make me wanna cry..
YES! This. And stepping in and out of the bath on leg day.9 -

Sadly, it seems normal.
I've been feeling lumpy for a food couple of months. I have been told that it will go away...4 -

LMAO as if it's that easy to just 'stop feeling it'. The brain's such a twisted thing that I ended up checking on a regular basis if it's still lumpy or not... I've gotten better about not doing it at work, but still... it's there and I know it6 -

I just found some there last night as well and was deeply confused on how on earth I ended up with them!

The first...oh, yes....
As to maybe looking older: from what I've seen almost everybody looks younger after losing the weight.4 -
- that feeling you get when you see your collar bones
- that amazing feeling you get when you finally fit into the shorts you've bought when you started your lifestyle change and it's a little loose.
- when you compare progress pics and you see how far you've came! who is with me ladies!???
I've lost about 50 lbs using myfitnesspal.

My um butt is lumpy. Haha. Between losing fat and gaining muscle it currently looks worse than it did 35lbs ago. Gonna keep pushing and hope it eventually looks normal.15 -

I was noticing yesterday that I have stretchmarks in my armpit??? Where did those come from!9 -

It does! Wow, reading this reminded me that when I lost a lot of weight initially I had these small lumps, like alien eggs (lol) all over my stomach. I just checked now and they're all gone! I hadn't even noticed10 -

They're on my rear end and arms... oddly enough my stomach has (for now) been spared4 -
The weird feeling of going to pee or whatever, Placing hands on thighs for basic balance sitting down...and feeling muscles move and flex and then spending the entire pee break feeling your thighs up becaause their all hard and muscled.
My legs used to just be short and fat and squishy XD33 -
I went through all of these comments and they were all great. Really inspiring.
Some things I wasn't expecting were:
-the toilet seat to be so uncomfortable
-how much less makeup I wear
-how I will do anything to fit pizza or burgers or tacos into my diet whether that means low calorie options or taking longer walks that day
-how I have become that friend that won't shut up about weightloss...
-many days I still feel heavier than I am
-how little I care for other people's opinions
-how excited I get when my doctor wants to weigh me
-regret for not doing this sooner since it's really been quite easy

Yes! Is it wrong to constantly poke my collar bones just for the feeling of actual bone?!
On the down side, when I'm driving I keep trying to change up to fifth gear even when I'm already in it. Because I always used to tell when I was in fifth by my knee resting against the gear stick, but now my knee is an inch away...12 -

Love the car reference - I drive a convertible and have noticed my seatbelt isn't falling out the door when I get out. It actually retracts like it's designed to do! I guess my hip is no longer "trapping" the belt between it and tbe door - yay!5 -

I know it's been said over and over, but people's reactions are really weird and I never quite know what to say to people. Someone at work today asked me if I'm still eating, which seemed weird to me. It may have been out of concern, but if I'd truly stopped eating, I would have lost way more than the 20ish lbs I've lost since the middle of February.14

Hihi. No one told me I'd need to shorten the straps on all of my handbags. Now that there's less of me to wrap around, the bags ended up hanging almost down to my knees, which looks really silly.27

I know the feeling - I had to adjust all of my backpack/rucksacks. They still hang off me though.5 -
That it's, like, awkward when you go out dancing and people 15 years younger than you keep hitting on you and then get super shocked when they find out your age...
(Yes, this post was brought to you by My Rapidly Expanding Ego. But also like, NOBODY used to hit on me. And now all these ~20 year olds? I mean listen, I ain't saying I'm not flattered but like, where's my hot ~30 year olds at?!)42 -

They're over there in that corner thinking that they don't have a snowball's chance in hell with that really cute 20 year old dancing like there's no tomorrow...
Honestly... I feel your pain as I'm in the same situation. It sucks18 -

I guess I could go approach some of them hot 30-year-olds... but that might mean leaving the dance floor. And the other thing nobody tells you about all this is how you transform from someone who wouldn't be caught dead dancing to someone who has to be dragged off the floor at the end of the night.
Our lives are just the WORST, am I right?
