People who know you will give you a multitude of very backhanded compliments. They mean well, they just don't realize what they're actually saying.10

I was eating at the MacDonalds with our apprentice today and came to a rather... odd realization while watching said apprentice do the 'crap I spilled my coke' dance... Those pretty white jeans of hers are no longer quite so white
I used to have food stains as a weekly (if not daily) occurrence. No matter what I did, I always ended up with stains, which was one reason for always wearing dark clothes - the stains are less visible. My wardrobe is slowly bleeding into white/pastel colors and yet I haven't had to apply any of my stain-killer skills. So my pretty new pastel pink blazer is still as spotless and pristine as when I put it on this morning. All I'll have to do is hang it up to let it air out tonight so I can wear it again in a few days...
I'm not sure if this is because there's a smaller target for food to hit or because I've simply become more mindful of how I shovel (or not shovel) the food into my mouth... Either way, I'm not complaining!

I used to automatically squirt stain remover on all my shirts before throwing them in the wash. I always had food stains on my boobs. Your comment made me realize that I haven't had to do that in months!! Like you said, is it because my target is so much smaller? Or is it because I'm eating in a more civilized way now?17 -

I still have 3 bottles of stain remover that I haven't had to use and I used to go through one every couple of months... They're collecting dust on the shelf. Might bring them over to the friend with 2 small ones running around. I bet she would find a use for them.9 -
How much I was going to love buying shoes. More specifically, heels!9

@ladyreva the "mindful" statement jumped at me. There was a discussion and proof that people lost weight on Blood Type diets yet it did not seem to be due to the diet only. Being mindfully aware I expect is a key reason most any dieting system tends to lead to weight loss. The other day I started to eat something that was very health then it hit me I was in no way hungry so I never went into the kitchen.
Not sure why but I do not get food on my shirts like I use to do. There was no reason to smell when I could just look at the food stains know it had been worn before. Well now that I can get into booths better and closer to tables is a plus on spilling I expect.7 -

Also probably has somethign to do with before having tons of sauces on burgers and such that gets cut down when your eating mindful of calories XD13 -
My nails have become so long and strong, I'm putting it down to extra protein consumption. A few people have asked if they're extensions, nope all mine
Before they always used to break, now if I want them shorter I have to file or cut them down.14 -
I got told I was looking good my to different neighbours today...I she'd the winter coat. in tje beginning this made me uncomfortable but now I kinda like it10

Good point. I tend to use a lot less bought condiments for things like sandwiches and burgers.
But, since I make some pretty awesome low calorie sauces... there's still plenty of drippables on my plate5 -
That you would choose exercise over another activity in the past that would have always been your first choice.13

Something I never would have predicted? I shove everything down my bra when I need to hang on to it. My keys, my phone... everything.
Why? Cause for one thing: there's a lot more room in there than there used to be and I ain't buying new ones till I'm closer to my goal cause those things are expensive, right? And cause women's workout gear has no pockets so I've taken to just shoving my phone into my sports bra strap when I'm at the gym and listening to music.
Which is fine. But the other day I was giving a presentation and had to stop myself from shoving a handful of markers down my left boob in between writing on the flip chart...59 -

I've always done that with money and my ID when going out. Leads to some funny situations when you want to pay and have to start digging around your boobs because you can't remember which side you stuck that cash in...12 -
Hanging my jacket in the gym's women's locker room, my jacket now look "normal" next to all the others. Used to be a tent, in comparison.28

This is me lately also! My headphones stay with the left boob and my chapstick and ID stay with the right! LOL10 -

Ha, I used to do that too! Small denominations in leftie, bigger ones in rightie, and ID/lipstick got tucked into my boots. Who needs pockets anyway?3 -

I was actually wondering about this and was thinking, "Poor Tacklewasher," especially as I successfully use the hammer and nail method myself.4 -

Don't worry. I left him an "awesome" for it.7 -
It's a pain in the butt, literally. Firm seats are now extra firm now that I have no cushion.13

For me, after losing 130 pounds over several years, several years ago, I was surprised at how stressful it was to be smaller and how mad it made me that people treated me differently. I also loved how I suddenly did not feel fat at a size 12 and a 10 was nirvana for me, like the perfect size. I've been up - and down - and back up a bit and looking to lose 40 of the 50 pounds gained back over time, 10 to the good so 30 to go. And - just tracking numbers all the time is a headache (see all these numbers as examples!! )13

Something I'd never have predicted? That however much you push yourself in your workout, nothing compares to the agony of trying to blowdry your hair after doing a rake of bench presses.
I mean it's one thing pushin' them heavy things up into the air and feeling like a right badass doing it. But a half hour later there I am, propping my elbow up against the wall cause holding it above my head for one more second would make me wanna cry..48 -
I am definitely happy to see that lady shaving takes sooo much less effort (with that horrible hair plucking machine). The plucking area has shrunk by 1/3 or so and the pain in the areas where muscle dominates fat is pretty much non-existent. Horray for fat loss.15

That you have to re-educate yourself on how much shower gel to use because you are smaller . . . and how much easier it is to wash yourself18

I'm crying from laughing so hard! This is so true. Yesterday was pull ups, press ups and all sorts. Today even putting a top on over my head was such hard work22
