  • if you're eating 1500, i'd say up your calories to 1800 a see what happens. if you're still low, up it to 2000. also, drink more water! if you;re drinking the recommended 64oz, up it to 100oz. not only will it help your milk supply, but it will help flush the toxins and fat from your body.
  • my mom got whiplash a few years ago and it has really affected her. she regularly visits the chiropractor and an acupuncturist (like, each once a week). that, combined with specific stretches they gave her to do, has really helped.
  • i see a lot of mom's that just try to fit a half hour walk into their day. i exercise when my husband gets home from work.

  • WoW! you look amazing! congrats on all the hard work.
  • oh my goodness, we have to be friends! ha ha, i refused to see harry potter and lord of the rings and only saw them because i was on a date and it wasn't really my choice. TOO FUNNY!
  • Hey there:) i just joined MFP and PPP like...yesterday! ha ha, super new. i had my 2nd little baby boy feb 6 (like 7 weeks ago). yeah, i'm here to lose the baby weight, and then if some more wants to drop off after that, that would be ok! ha ha. i gained 50 pounds with my first and only lost 10 before i got pregnant with…
  • positive reinforcement is a great tool! i usually reward myself with clothes. i LOVE clothes!
  • i think when you have two foods to choose from that are the same in calories, you have to look at the quality of the food. what vitamins/minerals is it going to give you? Which has more saturated/trans fat? how about sodium? fake sugar? yes, a calorie is a calorie, but that's not the only thing you should consider.
  • I'm not a dr. but i have hashimoto's. there are certain foods that can negatively affect thyroid function, such as broccoli and soy products. i try to stay away from them.
  • i just had my second baby 6 weeks ago and went into labor on my 2 year old's birthday. i love putting corn and kettle chips on everything lately. like the other day, i made a ham/cheese/turkey/lettuce sandwich on whole wheat with corn and bbq kettle chips in the middle. tell me someone else does this........ my favorite…
  • i eat very simply--like i'm still in 5th grade! i like to bring snacks rather than a meal so that i can just kind of graze all day. Snack ideas: cheese stick whole wheat crackers grapes apple slices peanut butter strawberries cheese slices wrapped in turkey and lettuce pudding cup pretzels pita chips and hummus cuties…
  • you might try eating more. it sounds counter-intuitive, but when you eat just the right amount of calories, your body becomes more efficient at fat burning and stops holding into fat (i'm sure you've heard of how your body stores fat when it thinks it's in survival mode). give it a try--if it doesn't work, go back to what…
  • hey there :) i'm 5'8" and trying to lose about 47 pounds--just had baby #2! add me, i need more friends!!
  • Hey! I'm new here too. I had my 2nd baby (another boy!) feb 6th, so not too long after you! i've lost 30 lbs just from breastfeeding. so baby #2's weight is off! now i need to work on baby #1's weight...which i never lost :(. he's two now. Anyways, i totally know how you feel. i go to chocolate when i'm feeling stressed…
  • 2 minutes on the tummy is GREAT for an 8 week old! mine is 6 weeks and he tolerates it for about 2 minutes before he's done. don't push too hard :) does he fuss the same way if you do tummy time with him lying on your chest facing you? mine seems to like that better. i think how tummy time goes really depends on the…
  • My personal rule (or guideline) with spanking is that I can't do it when I'm angry. If I'm thinking calmly and I'm rational, and LO sincerely needs a tap on the bum for discipline, then it's ok. But if one doesn't have a cool head, then spanking becomes more of a way to make oneself feel better than to discipline the…
  • that's what i set mine at too. thanks!
  • yeah i'm brand new...no idea what i'm doing.
  • i don't think i've ever completely given something up, but i'll eat in moderation. one item for me is bread. i could sit and eat like half a loaf of bread! i watch my intake now. i try not to eat sandwiches, or if i want one i'll eat it on leaves of lettuce, or only one piece of bread instead of two. it takes concentration…
  • I don't think any of us can tell you if you are bulimic or not. it's a personal thing that you would need to talk to a qualified doctor about. inducing a "purge" isn't healthy for your body or mind though. there have been times when i've had a weak moment and ingested 3 candy bars within a short amount of time and then…
  • I'm joining Monday, Feb 20th! This is such a good idea.
