  • Bridesmaid right here! Trying to lose at least forty pounds by July, just keep thinking how much I don't want to look fat in these pictures forever. Love to find others who are using a wedding to motivate themselves!

  • You need to focus more on strength training and less on cardio, do more bodyweight exercises or do a few sessions with a trainer so they can show you good workouts for building muscle.
  • I use soy milk because I am allergic to almonds, I am also partial to coconut milk for some added healthy fat.
  • Congratulations! Your progress pictures are amazing! Keep up the fantastic work!
  • I don't mind telling someone who asks, what I weight, this morning I was up to 198, which is five pounds up from my lowest last week, but I am still just happy to be under 200, ONEderland is amazing. I started at 256 so this is awesome progress.
  • I ran my first 5K this weekend, I hate running but I wanted to challenge myself and it was an amazing feeling that I can't wait to do again.
  • The lowest setting your oven has, usually 200 or 250 would be fine, just keep an eye on it and it should be perfect.
  • Mine definitely have gotten thinner, I can't wear any of my rings at all as they side right off, waiting to get them resized till I am closer to my goal.
  • Fish tacos! I am obsessed with them this time of year.
  • My boyfriend is the same way, I have found that if I keep low cal sweets around for me that it helps me make better choices, skinny cow ice cream or special K bars or anything like that. You don't feel like you are missing out on a sugary treat, but it is better for you in the end. Good luck!
  • Homemade mayo all the way, miracle whip sounds not only icky, but tastes like super sweet chemicals.
  • Definitely keep with the low fat dairy products, try using a lower fat ground beef like 93% 7%, replace the meat sauce with an organic low sodium pasta sauce, try using a veggie pasta, or whole wheat pasta. All of those things will not only bring down the calories but add nutrients. Sounds like a good recipe, good luck!
  • That stuff is terrible for you, full of sugar, palm oil (which is bad for you and the environment) and just tastes gross. Yuck.
  • I felt like this when I first started, but after a while of working out you just start to feel better about yourself overall. And I always think to myself at least I am trying, at least I am getting out there and doing something. Truthfully most people won't think anything of it, and if they do, so what, you will probably…

  • Tons of nuts covered in chocolate (except peanuts, eww) cabbage lettuce tuna broccoli radishes sugar snap peas hummus apples oranges grapefruit frozen berries frozen veggies brown rice lentils beans
  • Better for me because it helps me to be more mindful of my diet for the rest of the day. I really hate exercise so I don't want to waste to effort with bad food.
  • It sounds really bad, but I don't want to be my mother, I love her, and I hate thinking she is not going to be with us as long as she should because she doesn't take care of herself.
  • There are a lot of ways to make your average family meals healthier, cut back on fats, add more veggies, but the biggest thing is really portion control. You can make yourself separate meals, but are you really going to want to do that ever single day for the rest of your life? This is a great chance for you to not only…
  • Chicken soup tortilla soup chicken pot pie chicken tacos chicken pasta chicken salad sandwiches chicken spinach casserole chicken enchiladas chicken and wild rice casserole I have probably a million more, my boyfriend lives on chicken and never wants the same thing twice in a month.
  • Thanks everyone for all the helpful suggestions! I think the problem was just a bit of an over correct from eating all the time to really wanting to stay within the limits. I appreciate all the advice a lot, going to try and incorporate more calories dense foods and see how that works. Thanks again everyone.
  • I have found that if I sleep in my workout clothes and then get up and leave the house when I am still half asleep by the time I get to the gym I am wide awake and it is too late to change my mind. Also I really look forward to my breakfast but I always wait until after my workout to eat it, helps to motivate me a little…
  • I pretty much live on soup so I have a million recipes for them, here are three of my favorites, they are all vegetarian, but you could very easily throw in some diced chicken or ground beef. Onion, Leek and Kale Soup Ingredients: 1-2 Tbsp. olive or canola oil 3 large or 6 small onions, thinly sliced 2-3 small leeks,…
  • Kale and Roasted Chickpea Salad Ingredients: ½ cup chickpeas 1 Tbsp olive oil 1 Tbsp lemon juice 2-4 carrots, shredded. 8-10 kale leaves Directions: Toss the chickpeas in the lemon juice and olive oil. Place the chickpeas on a baking sheet and bake for 10-15 minutes or until the chickpeas get dark brown around the edges.…
  • I hate water personally so I understand the difficulty, but I love things that are made with water like a cup of hot tea every morning and night, and during the day I drink a lot of water with Mio and Crystal Light because it gives it a lot of flavor without calories.
