than you so much, everyone's been very helpful! :D now this all makes sense, but what about amount? My main question now: is it possible to build lean muscle on maintenance, and let said muscle burn off fat? I'm willing to do whatever workouts I need to, I have access to a free college gym, even though I commute XD
-
that's exactly the look I want~ I didn't mean lifting would make me bulky, I meant what another user said about getting the muscle mass: eating more and thus looking bulkier for a while until cutting the fat over the new muscle :)
-
Oh I know, I've read many articles to that effect :) I mean what a previous poster said, to eat more and build muscle underneath the fat, appearing bigger for a while
-
haha, I agree now that I'm looking at it XD

Hello there! yeah, that's the part I'm so lost on; I don't want to bulk up in any sense of the word, ahh! How does one go about getting lean without building up mass? I see these 15 week plans and stuff where they supposedly eat maintenance and work out, and end up leaner and tighter than before. I don't want to…

haha wow, FLAB not FALB.

I was clearly venting about the RUDE, loud, nasty ones, not some polite person like yourself kindly asking for a little extra. I'll be sweet as sugar and say, politely, "Sorry sir, it will be a few dollars extra, is that okay?" and these people I'm talking about will EXPLODE into angry, swearing rage and tell me it's…

thank you! There are a lot of kind customers, and it's fun getting food together for them and they're all excited about what they're getting, but then there are the VERY rude and demanding customers that always wan to try and get extra for nothing. I mean, my boss is RIGHT there. I am /not/ getting yelled at for breaking…

Wow nice judgement. I'm actually a very, very sweet and bubbly person with every customer; people come back and are like "Heeey, I remember you, hi! :D" but then there are the rude, loud, greedy people I'm talking about. I was once SWORN at by this very overweight woman who had demanded double meat, and when I quietly and…

I don't know if this is relevant, but I hear ya on portion sizes varying! Honestly, the employees SHOULD just stick to what their company/trainers taught them to put into each meal. There are guidelines for a reason. I work at a chinese restaurant in a mall near my house, and I am always irritated by these loud, fatass…

YOU are responsible for how fat you are. JUST like the skinny people are skinny because of the choices THEY'VE made. they have every right to work out at ANY gym they please to maintain that body. what, skinny people can't go to the same gym as fat people now? what's next, ban skinny people from eating at public…

120! :D

I absolutely agree. It's appalling, the amount of people who don't know how to write in their OWN native language. What on earth? and people complain about certain groups of people breaking into their country, and not learning /their/ wonderful language. and they can't even type in that very same language correctly! :P…

before running to the "thyroid" issue, what sort of issues are you having? Lots of people think they have a thyroid condition, when really they just didn't chart calories as religiously as they believed. Can you describe your weight loss issues?

Everybody here is hot! :D

Chances are, you simply aren't used to the feeling of hunger. Being overweight for a while may make people used to a certain intake, and they may "think" they are starving, when really, they simply aren't used to having to eat smaller portions of food.
-
AH that was meant to be a reply to "Iwishyouwell".
-
thank you SO much! what you are saying makes total sense! AT LAST someone who is making sense, and isn't trying to scare me away from undereating. (which, by the way, is essentially what dieting IS.) and as for overweight people who claim they "barely" eat, I agree 100%. You CANNOT maintain a body mass that high without…

no, I took a break and ate about 2000 calories a day when not dieting

I am 5'9", 134

somehow, no matter what question I ask on here, people accuse me of having anorexia. :I Gah.
-
Oh yup, it's called "vanity sizing". Supposed to make women feel better about being bigger or needing bigger sizes. Usually, the more mass market companies (like Mossimo for Target) are most guilty of this. High end clothing lines and boutiques tend to do the opposite with their sizes.

That person was feeling bad about himself for some reason; lashing out at people is always symptomatic of insecurities in their own lives. Some where, he (or something in his life) doesn't quite measure up, so that ugliness comes out at times like this. feel better soon! <3

the essential oil sounds like a good suggestion :D but I was thinking pill form? D:
