For decades I loved salmon, then I bought some fresh 3 weeks ago, and found live worms in it and chucked it. So I bought frozen salmon and found dead worms in it. Now I'm grossed out and won't touch salmon. I have also loved cheese for decades but I'm thinking it gives me heart burn so I'm trying to curb my intake of it a…

Hi Teresa, I'm Nancy and 54. Sorry about your mom. My dad just died of cancer on June 17, leaving my mother who has some dementia living alone. It's been a struggle getting her to accept in home help! I am in the US. Send me a friend request if you like. I've been on here a few years but mostly avoid the forums and…

Welcome! It is very helpful! Now if only I could stay within my calorie allowance!

3 of my MFP friends have become facebook friends.

First day back to jazzercise yesterday after a 2 week vacation and my butt is sore today!
-
I've had a fitbit for 3 years. I like knowing my activity level and would be lost without it!

I have bad knees myself and have been offered a joint replacement. Like you I'm waiting. I did have one scoped out several years ago. I go to Jazzercise 4-6 days per week. A few things I've learned are 1. Always do low impact, no jumping. I take out the hop, march, or make quick steps. Low impact does not mean low…

Mmmmm, I can smell the fresh baked bread! I'm the same way with cheese.

It's not on MFP, but I learned about Scooby from MFP. He has a lot of interesting stuff on his site for free. http://scoobysworkshop.com

Thank you! I will also try it this week. It sounds great!

I did it in 24 days (lots of doubles) because I was on away on vacation for 11 of them.

i wouldn't pay for it but I'd like being able to log exercise without increasing my calorie goals. The app fooducate is free and that'll tell you if you're eating crap. I think we already know that though eithout being told!

I've been on MFP for 3 years, I rarely post and mostly lurk. I hate the bullies in the forums talking nonsense about starvation mode, and needing to eat more to lose, or hawking their supplements.

It's a challenge for Monday- Friday. When I'm motivated, I'll shoot for my 10,000 daily steps and end the challenge with a bit over 50,000 (weather and my motivation cooperating). It's insane how many steps some get though, over 50,000 in a day!!! It's fun cheering each other along.

Super job and I agree wholeheartedly. I refuse to give up fullfat dairy so I'm not! I need to work on my journaling, the good bad and the ugly.

Love my fitibt! I'm doing a goal day challenge today, I love doing the workweek hustle, it has motivated me to step away from my desk during lunch and go for a walk. If you want to be fitbit friends: https://www.fitbit.com/user/22YMBV

Wow! Fantastic! You look incredible! Congratulations!

I've been on MFP for 3 years. Being active on here helps to keep me focused, but life can get in the way at times. But I keep with me, the knowledge I've learned along the way. This is a great free tool that is available whenever one is looking for support, opinions, and an easy food logging system.

Hello all. I'm 54, divorced, but have been in a relationship for 13 years so it feels like we're married. I have a 27 year old son. I've been on MFP for 3 years. I'm a slacker when it comes to logging food. I'd like to lose 40 more pounds. I'm down around 30, so that's about 10 pounds a year. I'm making very slow progress!…

There's a group called fitbit users, that has over 2000 members. You'll find a ton of friends there.

Congrats! My highest badge was for 25,000, and I only earned that once while walking around NYC and I was tired!

For the summer game, I did 56 classes in June and July,. Yeah me! I made certain that we were going to get our classes in, even if I had to do them all myself. Now that would be a challenge!
