  • near Lincolnton here! (between Gastonia and Hickory, west of Charlotte)
  • My goal weight, which is what I weighed last time I was able to lose is about 7 lbs more than my "happy weight" but my "happy weight" is only 0.1 lb more than my ultimate goal.
  • "oh, you shouldn't have potatoes or Little Debbies or breads. If you cut all that out then you'll be fine!" This from the person who is diabetic, obese and eats these items constantly! Of course, this is the same person who (VERY loudly) pointed out "you've bout gained all your weight back ain't ya?" When I put back on the…
  • if you have trouble maybe buying the little 8 oz. cans i have been seeing. for me it would be to keep only one can in the fridge at a time. that way i would be less tempted to drink several at once!
  • Where are you in NC? If you can find a local flea market or anywhere that makes them fresh it is SOOOOOO worth it! The other way is at Sam's Club you can get them in a microwave form (like microwave popcorn). They are good too!
  • met a few Nascar drivers (grew up in Concord, NC). The only other "famous" person I have met is Robert D Raeford. Unless you listen to John Boy and Billy that probably won't mean much to you either. He picked up his pictures from me when I worked at Eckerd Drugs when I was in high school (almost 20 years ago)!
  • I want to weigh as little as possible, so first thing in the morning after I pee and then step on naked before shower. Don't wait until after showering, wet hair weighs more!
  • I used to love Coke Zero. It was the most like Coke. But I stopped drinking diet drinks because the artificial sweeteners made me feel hungry all the time, craving sweets. I went back to regular (which added to weight gain) but now am on either plain water, or kool-aid / countrytime singles (1/2 strength, do 1 packet to 32…

  • I see a big difference! I am at ~ 16 pounds down and I can't see much of a difference when I look in the mirror. I need to pull up a pic from before and use it for comparison. Maybe that would help too. Keep up the good work!
  • I like Eggbeaters. I currently use the Eggbeaters Whites Southwest style. They have bell peppers and stuff in them. I use about 3 eggs worth along with ~ 1/3 cup of shredded cheese. I pour it into a paper bowl and microwave at 80% power for 3 1/2 minutes. I use a plastic fork and when I am done - it all goes in the trash.…
  • my issue with our country is that every time i turn on a TV I see ads wanting me to send money to another country to help with their hungry children. I have seen too many hungry children here in our own country. We have a lot of problems here that we do not resolve. Maybe that is one of the reasons that people have issues…
  • no, no real explanation. they did ultrasounds to confirm that i didn't have fibroids or anything because I was spotting constantly for 3 - 4 months a couple of years ago. i thought it was odd because the tech said i had almost no lining, but was still spotting.
  • Really can't afford time off from work (single income household) and don't want anything removed unless medically necessary. Not to that point yet. In the south Drs. tend to be hyster happy! Just wish my body could be more self regulating!
  • Don't give up hope. I found a doctor who tied my tubes at 25 with no children. I just went in and spoke my peace about the fact that I knew what i was asking for and if I ever wanted kids badly enough I knew I could either pay to have it reversed or ~ the same amount and adopt. My husband had his procedure just about 2…
  • OOOOOOOHHHHHH - ribs hurt!
  • If you are talking about getting one over a scar make sure you get a good artist - scar tissue is a tricky thing as it is different than regular skin. My husband wanted one on a scar that he has that looks like an eye but they didn't think it would take very well. Edited by bane0317 on Mon 04/02/12 03:36 PM

  • go crazy with the spice cabinet. When I was in college (many moons ago) they would host a free movie night. My husband and I would get some of our friends to go with us. I would make 3 - 4 types of popcorn (salted and/or buttered, Italian, Chili, and whatever I happened to think of that night!) It was good, cheap…
  • I joined about 2 weeks ago but am looking for friends to go on the journey with. I have lost weight before only to gain back the loss plus some more. I need to lose 70 - 80 lbs. feel free to add me as a friend!
  • I ordered mine through QVC (got 6 for ~ $75). I ike the fit and feel. They aren't going to act like a push-up bra or anything like that. I threw away the "modesty panels", they made me look deformed. I don't know if they will work as well as a sports bra because they don't compress you and hold you still but it depends on…
  • I actually like the Genie Bras. They fit like a sports bra without squashing you flat. I can get decent cleavage and a nice round shape. They never have slipping shoulder straps and can double as a cami at the neckline when i wear something lower cut. They don't accentuate back-fat and will change as I lose weight. The…
  • I also just joined this week. I have been journalling for about a month on paper but think this will be easier. I was diagnosed as Type II Diabetic and having sleep apnea in mid-January 2012. This was my wake up call. I weighed 242 at my dr's visit. I am now at 228. I am also 37, married, no children of the two legged…
