  • Breakfast sandwich: two slices of bacon, one egg, slice of American cheese, on multigrain English muffin.
  • Just wanted to say thanks for pointing me to the stickied threads at the top; somehow I didn't really notice them. They led me to Bodybuilding.com where I've been following the 30 day beginner routine; this is day #7 and I'm already feeling better physically. :)
  • Wow. You don't even look like the same person!
  • I'm so glad I came upon this thread today. Ha. I just re-joined my gym after months of not doing anything about my weight, and today I've been trying to psych myself up to go but all I can think is, "Gaaah, don't want people looking at meeee!" But this has actually helped me out quite a bit. I'm gonna make myself go... as…
  • I guess I should have been more clear. I know how things work (like the machines and everything); the technical stuff isn't exactly the issue. Haha. I meant that I just felt lost now after having gone so long since I did anything that I wasn't sure what to do with regards to an actual routine in order to achieve any weight…
  • I love mushrooms, and y'all have given me so many awesome ideas now. Haha. Wonderful!

  • I was actually planning on restarting P90X! I made it past the first 30 days and just quit entirely, and I'm looking to start it back up again. :-) I'm gonna do the first day (chest and back/ab ripper) when I get off work here, and go for a jog later in the evening.
  • Congrats! I kinda hate the BMI scale. It seems like such a put down. Haha. It says I'm obese but I can say that I definitely don't LOOK obese! I can't wait until I'm just in the overweight portion. :-)
  • In case it wasn't clear (because I can see how it might not have been haha), I am asking if it would still be as good with actual ground coffee. :-P
  • I wanna try this. I don't tend to keep instant coffee on hand since I work at a coffee shop and therefore get my ground coffee beans from there. Think it would still be as good?
  • Thank you for this site! I just used it and got the best recipe for taco casserole and I made it tonight. Worked out so good! :-)
  • Wow, I'm finding so many amazing recipes here today!
  • Definitely adding this to my list! :D
  • I signed in here to find something to make for supper tonight. I think this will do the trick! :-) I'll probably add a couple more veggies, though. Haha.
  • No offence kimi233, but your husband sounds like a jerk. :-/ I mean, it's sort of a jerky thing to say. In my experience, people who react negatively to others accomplishing their goals and discussing their successes are people who are simply jealous. They're jealous and bitter because they can't seem to accomplish them…

  • I'm doing P90X now after hearing about it forever and I really love it. I'm only 6 days in and I've seen results!
  • Yeah this jacket still had the tags, too... until this morning. :D

  • I think the most disturbing part of that article was this: "Also, if it's called a shake, instead of a milkshake, there's a good chance it doesn't even contain any dairy—maybe some whipped lard instead!" I personally have pretty much cut fast food out altogether. I occasionally treat myself, of course. But I haven't had…
  • I use skim milk like 6/7 days of the week and then treat myself to cream on occasion. It reeeeally makes it that much better.

  • I'm not sure what 30 Day Shred is, carib_light, but P90X is a 90 day workout that's covered in 3 phases. Each phase has its own nutrition plan and set of exercises that you do for it. For example, the first phase of the nutrition plan prefers that you eat high in protein, whereas the second wants you to focus on higher…
  • WOW! Congratulations, man! Haha. That's such a significant difference! It makes me really excited to be starting P90X myself today. :-)
  • I just made this and it turned out amazing!
  • I am doing it for many reasons, I guess. 1. Self-confidence: I think for all of us, this is a big one. I just don't feel confident in myself when I go out looking the way I do, and I feel that a slimmer, more toned me will help me with that. 2. Health: this is a no-brainer, really. I sweat a lot regularly, and I kinda hope…
  • This is really very inspiring for me. Really, really inspiring. I am currently having a tumultuous journey myself. I joined this site about two years ago, and I've been successful to the point of losing 19 lbs, but I've since gained it all back, and I know why. It's all about accountability, and I've come back searching…
  • Totally planning on making this for supper tonight! :D
  • I would just like to say that I made this the other night (with the blue cheese!) and it was AMAZING. So good! I shared it with some friends for dinner. And, now I made it again tonight! :-) Thanks for the recipe! It's a keeper.
  • This sounds awesome. I think I'ma make that for lunch when I finally get to the grocery store. Haha.
  • I am right-handed, yes. Haha.
  • Yeah, I read somewhere that every lb of muscle requires 50 calories to function, so the more muscle one has, the more calories that are being burnt without having to actually exercise. And I've also heard that you continue to burn calories after weight-lifting unlike with cardio.
