If you aren't emulsifying your oils with egg lecithin you just aren't elite! PS: that abstract is about triglycerides - nothing about calories there.
-
No way - as low as I go on carbs is about 30% of calories and that is hard.
-
I take 2 rest days from cardio and 2 rest days from strength training. No complete rest days though. When I get down to under 10% BF I plan on dropping a cardio day though to help gain some muscle.

jam, butter and bread :)
-
Thanks I might try a class. They look pretty intense and almost fun even :)

Have fun with the bike! I use a bike to commute and now seem to associate cycling with moderation - I ride in "normal" clothes and always ride slow enough to avoid sweating.
-
Definitely worth it :) I should look more at getting them taken in but also like getting new stuff :)
-
Those look intense! Thanks for the suggestion.

Another vote for this. If you can't feel the bumpy muscles trying to lose more fat is not going to help. A small bulk might earn you some extra fat but you can lose that later, concentrate on the heavy ab work.

Yeah he basically finished the rep for me. I felt so deprived! Another funny thing I saw recently was a guy benching on the incline press with his *kitten* so far off the bench he was horizontal.
-
This morning I was doing close grip bench press and a guy runs over and spots me on my last rep. I had the rep no problem I was just going a bit slow. Sure I've helped people myself but only if the bar actually starts moving downwards towards their chest.

I'll often log my food and exercise the day before if i'm going to be eating out or trying a new recipe. I find it easier to plan this way. But I'll usually log the exercise a little below what I think I'll do to give myself a little buffer.

You would willingly be less healthy because of your perception that lower fat makes you look older? Maybe you are just making excuses for failure? Why do you care if your wrinkles are slightly more noticeable?

Hemp Protein Powder!

I get up at 5 and am working out by 6, or 10 to. I do strength training and think it's important to eat before hand. This helps motivate me to get up knowing I can eat some shredded wheat, cottage cheese and a banana with milk. I also have a whey protein shake.

What I do is add all the ingredients individually then use the "Remember meal" function. Then I'll divide the stew into portions. When I want to log it add the fraction that I ate. For example I created a chicken stew, divided it into 4, then add .25 from the saved meal. I hope this makes sense.

Use stevia or erythritol and make your own!

Getting more smiles from ladies :)

Keep up the good work. Don't stop strength training - do strength and cardio. Just watch yourself on the weekends :)
-
This *might* apply to strength or fitness goals but has nothing to do with weight loss. Burning calories is burning calories.

I don't think it's THAT high, just a little. On the elliptical I do 30 minutes at ~152 bpm then 30 minutes at ~ 135 bpm - this is usually level 17/25 then 12/25. Ellipitcal usually says ~500 calories first 30 min then ~400 second 30. HRM says ~525 first 30 and ~475 second 30.

Thanks for the suggestions. I think we are good now - no eye contact at all since the confrontation. As far as food goes.... Peanut butter! I could eat a whole jar full easily :)

When strength training I rest 3 to 5 minutes between sets. There is this guy at the gym who is obsessed with it. It's like it drives him crazy just to be in the same room as me. He is constantly teasing me and just recently got very aggressive where he basically yelled at me "3 minutes that is just ridiculous. you will…
-
I'll admit to checking out all the people at the gym - as if the rest of you don't!! :P Never noticed hairy legs though but my eyes aren't that great. That's usually not where I'm looking either ;)

^^ Took a week off recently due to a cold and found my weight down a few pounds despite going off the diet. Went back on the diet and back to the gym and gained a few pounds. Exercise will definitely add water to your weight.

Studies have shown that consuming sugar alternatives like aspartame can increase sugar cravings. The diet coke itself obviously won't affect your weight loss as it has no calories.

I didn't know what to expect with this thread.... the OP can shove her body in my face any day! (someone had to say it)
-
Maybe that treadmill had a good view - of a TV or hotties in a yoga class or something?
-
^^ This I don't expect people to be all smiles and chit chatty at the gym but when you see the same people there every day it is nice to exchange a nod and quick smile. The people who refuse to acknowledge others around them bug me and I wish they would work out elsewhere.

only two options that I know of: Fiber 1 original and shredded wheat
