  • Excellent job. You look great! I bet you feel great as well.
  • I think so looks super sexy. I love muscles on women. One day, I hope my abs look half as good as hers. I know that everyone has their own opinion. This is just mine.
  • height 5'4 starting weight 202 pants 16/18 current 141 size 6 I basically have no curves from the waist down.
  • Love Body Revolution. I have completed two rounds. First time lost little over 20 pounds. Second round almost 20 more pounds. Love that each workout is 30 challenging minutes. It excuse proofs your workout. I think most workouts are effective if you do the program. I see people reference Turbo Fire, P90X and Insanity. I…
  • Awesome! I love the side by side photos. Thank you for the inspiration. I will be hitting my one year marker soon (2/26). Kudos!
  • I also agree it is personal preference. I work out at 5 am during the week. I used to work out on an empty stomach but as I got closer to my goal I started reaching plateaus more frequently and I also started having a difficult time finishing my workouts with intensity. I then started eating just 10 almonds before my work…
  • I am not big on cheat days because it makes it feel like I am denying myself something that I may want. For my own piece of mind I do have a higher calorie day (which is usually Saturday) where I allow myself to eat more calories. I like having limits for myself. I can eat a little more but I give myself a limit so I don't…
  • Please make sure you speak with the staff. Every gym that I have ever joined has provided orientation for the machines in the weight room at no cost. I would be suspect of any gym that did not at a minimum offer a session on how to properly use the equipment. Otherwise the suggestions for the new rules for lifting is good.…
  • Easy convenience foods. I cut up broccoli, cauliflower, carrots (I make my own sticks) and red peppers in snack size twice per week (1 cup each) and eat with hummus (2 tbsp) for my afternoon snack. I concur that you probably need to cut back on the sugary snacks. I also pair fruit with a protein that snack if balanced out.…
  • It is hard to give you advice because you don't list a specific goal so here is some general information about programs I have completed. P90X - great strength training. Loved it but found it hard to get in the whole work out. Only lost minimal weight but it blasted off the inches and put a lot of definition on my legs and…
  • Turbo Fire EZ45! I woke up feeling unmotivated but within a few minutes of Chalean and her upbeat attitude, I was all in!
  • You look great! When are you due? (I AM NOT PREGNANT!) One comment that I got last week at church was HER "Wow, you look great! Everyone is talking about how quickly you have recovered from gastric bypass surgery. ME: "I didn't have any surgery." HER: "How did you lose weight then?" ME: "I ate less and exercised more. I…
  • French Fries. I have not been able to eat fries in almost a year (it will be a year in February). Everyone looks at me like you must be crazy. I just can't take the smell of the oil. It smells rancid to me since I lost weight.
  • Congrats! Excellent work.
  • height 5'4 weight 142 size 6-8
  • Ideas for grad and go. Each Sunday, I cut up vegetables (my favorites are red peppers, broccoli, cauliflower) into 1 cup serving sizes for snacks during the week. I add 2 tablespoons of hummus for a dip. This is an easy, yummy afternoon snack. It really ties me over to dinner. Ideas for meal preparation I also try to cook…
  • I will do the following in 2013. 1. Continue eating healthy. 2. Finish a personal training course. 3. Try a variety of new fitness activities so I won't get bored. 4. Spend more time with my family. Most importantly, I will try to always project a positive attitude and not internalize comments from the negative Nelly's who…
  • Made today my day of rest on purpose so I don't have to feel like I have to work out. I try to take my rest days as serious as my work out days. I ate what I wanted but still was under my calories today. I just felt full quickly. Yesterday was a different story though....

  • Awesome job! It is great getting stronger. I want to hate planks but the exercise is so effective that I now just power through and enjoy the results.
  • Love Body Revolution! I am just finishing up my 2nd round. First time I lost 23 pounds. I will be on week 12 this week and so far I have lost 15 pounds the second time. I am now 7 pounds under my original weight goal. I like that the workouts change every two weeks. You won't be bored and your muscles will get worked. It…
  • Absolutely amazing. Thank you for sharing your story.
  • Great job. Keep up the awesome work!
  • I used to hate oatmeal but now I love it. My favorite base is almond milk instead of water and a teaspoon of chia seeds. Then I add fruit, nuts or nut butter depending on the day. On the weekend I like dried apricots and almonds; during the week I usually have blackberries and raspberries with pecans.
  • Great job with your weight loss. You should be proud of your accomplishment. You did not state a reason why the doctor told you to lose any more weight. If you doctor is stating you have reached your goal there must be a reason. It is real hard to see how beautiful you have become when you lose a lot of weight. I know…
  • Congrats! You did a great job.
  • Love it! I have completed the series twice. My advice do the DVDs in order. Don't watch month 3 CDs until you are ready to do the workout. I like how you build on the exercises from the 1st week through the 12th week. You won't believe how strong you will feel when you finish. Good luck. You will have lots of fun. It is…
  • Hey Amanda, To your question - which is better? I am not a trainer so I can't speak specifically to that but you should try both ways - listen to your body and see which gives you the results that you are looking for. Remember rest is as important as exercise when training your body. You may be better off working one part…
  • I change my workouts every two weeks but my schedule is pretty much the same. I work out 30 minutes per day except on Saturday's which is 1 hour. Monday/Wednesday - circuit training front body muscles Tuesday/Friday - circuit training back body muscles Wednesday - Cardio Saturday - boot camp class
